We lift up this precious son before the throne of grace, joining our hearts with this parent’s plea for divine guidance and favor. Heavenly Father, we ask that You indeed go before him, illuminating his path with Your wisdom and surrounding him with Your peace that surpasses all understanding. May he feel Your presence in every step of this process, trusting not in his own strength but in Your unfailing love and sovereignty.
Father, we pray that You would grant him discernment to make choices that honor You, whether in decisions, relationships, or the challenges he faces. Let Your Word be a lamp to his feet and a light to his path (Psalm 119:105), and may he lean not on his own understanding but acknowledge You in all his ways, trusting that You will direct his steps (Proverbs 3:5-6). We rebuke any spirit of fear or anxiety that may try to take hold of him, for You have not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7).
We also ask that You would protect his heart and mind from the distractions and temptations of this world. Guard him from influences that would draw him away from Your truth, and strengthen his resolve to walk in righteousness. May he be a light in whatever environment he finds himself, reflecting Your love and grace to those around him.
Lord, we pray for favor—not just in the eyes of man, but in Your perfect will. May this season be one of growth, where he draws nearer to You and discovers the plans You have for him, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give him a future and a hope (Jeremiah 29:11). Comfort him in moments of uncertainty, reminding him that You are his refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1).
We declare over him the promise of Isaiah 58:11, that You will guide him continually, satisfy his soul in drought, and make his bones strong. May he walk in the fullness of Your blessings, rooted and grounded in Your love.
Finally, we pray that he would come to know You more deeply, if he does not already, and that his life would be a testament to Your goodness. May he surrender his plans, his fears, and his future into Your hands, trusting that You work all things together for good for those who love You and are called according to Your purpose (Romans 8:28).
In the mighty and matchless name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
