We lift up your son before the throne of grace, joining our hearts with yours in fervent prayer. Father God, we thank You for the trust this mother places in Your sovereign hands, knowing that You hold her son’s future securely. We ask that You indeed guide and lead him with Your unfailing wisdom, as Proverbs 3:5-6 declares, *"Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."*
Lord, we pray for Your favor to rest upon him as he navigates this process. Let Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard his heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). Comfort him in moments of uncertainty, reminding him that You are his refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). We rebuke any spirit of fear or anxiety that may try to take hold, for You have not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7).
We also pray for discernment for this young man, that he would recognize Your voice above all others and follow Your will with courage and obedience. May he seek You first in all things, knowing that when he does, You will direct his steps (Matthew 6:33). Strengthen his faith, Lord, and let him walk in the confidence that comes from knowing You are with him always.
Father, we ask that You surround him with godly mentors and friends who will encourage him in his walk with You. Protect him from influences that would lead him astray, and let Your Word be a lamp to his feet and a light to his path (Psalm 119:105). If there are areas in his life where he has strayed from Your truth, convict him gently and draw him back to You.
We also lift up this mother, Lord. Grant her peace as she entrusts her son to You. Help her to release her worries and anxieties into Your hands, knowing that You care for her and her family deeply (1 Peter 5:7). Give her wisdom in how to support and pray for her son during this time, and let her faith be a testimony to him of Your goodness and faithfulness.
Heavenly Father, we declare that no weapon formed against this young man shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against him in judgment, You will condemn (Isaiah 54:17). We speak blessing over his life—blessing in his studies, his relationships, his work, and his future. May he grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, and may his life bring glory and honor to Your name.
We pray all these things in the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, the name above every name, the only name by which we can come before Your throne. For there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). We trust in Your perfect plan for his life, and we thank You for hearing and answering our prayers according to Your will. Amen.
