We hear your heartfelt plea for your son and join you in lifting him up before the throne of grace. Father God, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, the only name by which we can approach You, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). We thank You for the gift of this precious young man and ask that You would indeed guide and lead him in every step he takes.
Lord, we pray that You would grant him wisdom as Solomon asked of You, for You promised to give it generously to all who ask (James 1:5). May Your Holy Spirit fill him with understanding and discernment, that he may navigate this process with clarity and confidence in Your will. Let Your favor rest upon him like a shield, surrounding him with Your grace and mercy (Psalm 5:12).
We also ask that Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, would guard his heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). In moments of uncertainty or anxiety, remind him that You are his refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). Comfort him with the knowledge that You are working all things together for his good, for he is called according to Your purpose (Romans 8:28).
Father, we rebuke any spirit of fear or doubt that may try to take hold of him. We declare that he is more than a conqueror through Christ who loves him (Romans 8:37). Strengthen his faith, Lord, and let him walk in the fullness of Your promises. May he lean not on his own understanding but acknowledge You in all his ways, trusting that You will direct his paths (Proverbs 3:5-6).
We pray that he would grow closer to You through this season, drawing near to You so that You may draw near to him (James 4:8). Let his relationship with You deepen, and may he find his identity and worth in You alone. Surround him with godly influences—mentors, friends, and leaders who will encourage him in his walk with You.
Lastly, we ask that You would protect him from any schemes of the enemy. Clothe him in the full armor of God so that he may stand firm against the devil’s schemes (Ephesians 6:11). Let Your angels encamp around him, guarding him in all his ways (Psalm 91:11).
We trust You, Lord, to complete the good work You have begun in him (Philippians 1:6). May he emerge from this season stronger in faith, wiser in spirit, and more fully surrendered to Your will. In the precious and powerful name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
