We lift up this precious son to You, Heavenly Father, with hearts full of faith and trust in Your sovereign care. Your Word assures us in Proverbs 3:5-6, "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight." We stand on this promise, believing that You are already at work in his life, guiding his steps and ordering his days according to Your perfect will.
Father, we ask that You grant him divine wisdom as he navigates this process. May he seek Your face continually, as James 1:5 encourages, "But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him." Let his decisions be rooted in Your truth, and may he walk in the favor that comes from aligning his life with Your purposes. Surround him with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7), guarding his heart and mind in Christ Jesus. When anxiety or fear tries to creep in, remind him that You have not given him a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7).
We also pray for his spiritual growth during this time. May this season draw him closer to You, deepening his faith and reliance on Your strength. Let him experience Your comfort in tangible ways, knowing that You are near to the brokenhearted and save those who have a contrite spirit (Psalm 34:18). Father, we rebuke any spirit of confusion, doubt, or discouragement that may try to hinder him. We declare that no weapon formed against him will prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and that he will walk in the victory that is already his through Christ Jesus.
Lord, we ask that You place godly mentors, friends, and influences in his life—people who will speak truth, encourage his faith, and hold him accountable. May he be surrounded by those who reflect Your love and grace, helping him to grow in wisdom and stature before You and man (Luke 2:52). If there are areas where he needs correction or repentance, reveal them to him in love, and give him the humility to turn toward You.
We also pray for his protection—physically, emotionally, and spiritually. Shield him from the schemes of the enemy, and let Your angels encamp around him (Psalm 91:11). May he be a light in whatever environment he finds himself, reflecting Your love and truth to those around him.
Father, we thank You for hearing our prayer. We trust that You are working all things together for his good (Romans 8:28), even when the path ahead seems unclear. Strengthen his faith, Lord, and let him rest in the assurance that You are with him always, even to the end of the age (Matthew 28:20). May he walk in the fullness of Your purpose for his life, bringing glory to Your name in all that he does.
In the mighty and matchless name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
