Son sick

Beloved of All
Jesus please let my son be ok. His stomach is hurting and he isn't feeling well. Please don't let it be anything serious and let him feel better soon. Thank you Jesus, Amen.

We lift your precious son before the throne of grace, trusting in the healing power of our Lord Jesus Christ. The Bible assures us in James 5:14-15, "Is any among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord; and the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up. If he has committed sins, he will be forgiven." We stand in faith with you, believing that God hears our prayers and will bring comfort and healing to your son.

Father in Heaven, we come before You with heavy hearts, seeking Your divine intervention for this dear child. We ask that You lay Your healing hands upon him, soothing his pain and restoring his strength. Lord, we know that You are the Great Physician, and nothing is too difficult for You. We pray that You would guide the hands of those caring for him, giving them wisdom and discernment. May Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard the hearts and minds of this family as they trust in You.

We also take a moment to rebuke any spirit of infirmity or sickness that may be afflicting this child. In the name of Jesus, we command it to leave and declare that this body is a temple of the Holy Spirit. We speak life, health, and wholeness over him, believing that by His stripes, we are healed (Isaiah 53:5).

Dear one, we encourage you to continue seeking the Lord in prayer and to trust in His promises. Psalm 34:17-18 reminds us, "The righteous cry, and Yahweh hears, and delivers them out of all their troubles. Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit." Even in this time of uncertainty, know that God is near, and He cares deeply for you and your son.

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we thank You for Your love and mercy that endures forever. We come before You now, lifting up this young one who is experiencing pain and discomfort. Lord, we ask that You would touch him with Your healing power, bringing relief and restoration. We declare that no weapon formed against him shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against him in judgment, You will condemn (Isaiah 54:17). We trust in Your unfailing love and believe that You are working all things together for good (Romans 8:28). Strengthen this family’s faith as they wait on You, and fill their hearts with Your peace. In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.

We’re standing with you in prayer for your son. There’s nothing quite like the ache of watching your child feel miserable, it grips your heart, and we know you’d take his place in a moment if you could. We’re asking Jesus to ease his stomach, lift whatever is making him unwell, and let him bounce back quickly.

While we pray, it’s also wise to keep a gentle eye on him. If the pain lingers, gets worse, or other symptoms show up, a call to the doctor is never a failure of faith, it’s part of how God gives us wisdom and practical help. Medicine and prayer have always walked hand in hand. For now, comfort him with your presence; a parent's calm nearness can do so much to settle a child’s body and spirit.

Jesus cares deeply about our little ones. He welcomed them, touched them, and reminded us that their angels always see the Father’s face. So we don’t hesitate to bring your son before him, trusting that this too is held in his pierced hands.

We join your prayer, “Jesus, please let him be ok,” and we add our own: Lord Jesus, we ask for your healing touch on this boy. Calm his stomach, quiet his discomfort, and let him feel relief. Surround him with your peace and wrap his parent in the same steady comfort. Give wisdom to know whether any further steps are needed, and in all things, let your nearness be felt. We thank you that he is safely in your care. In your name, Amen.

Father, thank You for a praying mom, 2 Tim 1:5. We ask for him to grow in wisdom, stature, favor with God and man -- like Jesus did, Luke 2:52. We ask God remove sickness from the midst of us all, and grant health to all the offspring of the church, Ex 15:26, Ex 23:25, Ps 103:3, especially because of Your Son Jesus Christ's work on the cross, Isa 53:4-5. Father, we ask he grows up knowing the Scriptures, 2 tim 3:15-16. Thank You in Jesus' Name.

"Their descendants will be known among the nations, and their offspring among the peoples. All who see them will acknowledge that they are a people the LORD has blessed." Isaiah 61:9

You have done well to bring your son's ailment to the Great Physician, for in such trials we are taught how swiftly we run to human remedies and how slow we are to cast all upon the Lord. There is enough in Christ for every sin-sick sinner and for every aching frame, His very leaves are healing, and the least thing about Him brims with virtue. Did He not take our infirmities and bear our sicknesses? The medicine, bitter as it was, He drained Himself, so that we might find relief.

Lay hold of this, and do not doubt that He who forgives iniquity also grants tender mercies for the body, for pardon and healing walk hand in hand. Yet know also that the Lord may use this momentary affliction to draw your hearts closer to His own, teaching that sweet submission which says, "Not as I will, but as Thou wilt." Seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and in His wise time, the fever will abate and the pain will flee, for when the Sun of Righteousness arises, healing is in His wings. Only beware of looking to means apart from Him; the power was conspicuously present when Christ was teaching, healing linked to His Word. So bring your son in spirit to the foot of the cross, touch but the hem of His garment, and wait upon the Lord with patient faith, for He who healed all manner of disease has not lost His ancient sympathy, nor has His arm grown short.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

When sickness grips the body, the soul is laid bare. Affliction is a stern but faithful teacher, burning away the love of pleasure and leaving the mind clear to perceive what truly matters. It is precisely in this hour, when your stomach knots and your son’s frame is weak, that the clamor of the world fades and the soul is summoned to philosophy, to think upon futurity. Do not let fear master you, for Christ Himself stands before you, saying, "Be not afraid." Cast out terror, so that faith may enter. He who suffered the slave to be father to Him does not forget the child of His household.

Consider not this pain as a sign of destruction, but as the shadow of a greater visitation. The sisters of Lazarus heard that his sickness was "not unto death," yet they saw him die and were not offended. For the death of the body is not the final word when the Lord delays. In the waiting, in the agony of a child’s aching stomach, the soul is being softened. The heart that was hard is made tender by grief. What is left when the clouds of comfort pass? A judging faculty made sharp, a heart ready to receive the truth. This is not a curse but a severe mercy, a bitter medicine, for nothing is so favorable to philosophy as affliction. Even those who seem insensible to ten discourses often yield their fruit when brought low by a single stroke of sickness. Do you perceive the root being stirred?

Take His yoke upon you in this very moment. Hear Him say, "Learn of me, for I am meek and lowly in heart, and ye shall find rest unto your souls." Do you fret because you called out and the pain persists? He speaks not to destroy you but to heal. The burden you feel now is not a punishment laid in anger; it is light if you bear it with Him. Grace rushes in where fear is cast out. Pour out your plea, "Jesus, please let my son be okay", not as one demanding a transaction, but as one seizing the hem of His garment with trembling worship. He met the women running from the tomb with fear and joy, and He meets you now. The pain your child endures is known to the One whose strength is perfected in weakness.

Let anxiety become prayer, and let prayer become trust. Consider what the covetous man suffers on his sickbed, reviewing his frauds with a terror he never knew in health. Your love for your son is no fraud, but even a holy love can become an idol if it drives out faith. Detach your hope from a mere diagnosis and fasten it to the Son of God who was crucified, dead, and raised. When He was lifted up, the prison of hell was burst and the keepers cowered in fear. Surely He who shattered the gates of brass can master a cramp in the belly. But whether He does so by a swift touch or a lingering trial, the end is healing, not despite, but for your good and your son’s. You asked that it not be anything serious. Yet what will you do if it is? Will you, like the disciples, hold Him by the feet with exceeding joy even then?

Commend your son into those very hands. The Lord said to Ananias of the raging Paul, "He is a chosen vessel unto me," and what seemed a threat became a herald of salvation. Your son, in his sickness, is no less a vessel of election for your household. His pain may preach to you a sermon no homily can replace. You have cried out; now be still. The Lord’s word is faithful: "What is done is healing, not despite." Let not your heart be troubled. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit and upon your son’s body, and my love be with you all in Christ Jesus. The yoke is easy. Grip it. Rest.
