Son sick

Your cry for your son reaches the throne of the One who understands a parent's heart perfectly. Jesus Himself, when a nobleman came to Him in Cana with a sick son, did not delay but spoke the word, and the child was healed though miles away. The same power that worked then is not diminished now. He is the Son of God, the One who bore our infirmities and carried our sorrows. Every stomach ache, every restless hour of a sick child, touches His compassion, for He knows what it is to dwell among our frailties.

When your son hurts, it is right for you to call out to Jesus, the very name above every name, who healed all manner of sickness and disease among the people. Remember the man sick with palsy whose friends lowered him through a roof. Jesus saw their faith and spoke first to the deeper need, yet He did not neglect the body. He said, “Son, thy sins be forgiven thee,” and then, to show that the Son of Man has power on earth, He commanded him to rise and walk. Your son’s stomach pain is not hidden from the Lord’s eyes, nor are your tears as you wait for relief. He who gave life to the nobleman’s son at a distance can quiet the spasms and calm the inflammation with a touch that needs no proximity.

Prayer is not a mere ritual. The Scriptures call the sick to ask for prayer, for the prayer of faith will save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up. You have already begun that prayer in simple trust, and that faith pleases God. Continue to pour out your heart. There is no weakness in pleading, “Jesus, let my son be okay.” David once lay on the ground, fasting and weeping for his sick child. While the boy lived, David hoped that God might be gracious and spare him. That hope is yours too. We do not always know why healing tarries or why some are not healed in the way we long for, but we do know that the Son does whatever He sees the Father do. His timing and His methods are perfect, even when they involve the slow mending of a body or the wisdom of medicine, for God can work through those means as truly as through a word.

Take courage from the truth that this same Son who healed the centurion’s servant and Peter’s mother-in-law is now seated at the right hand of power. He has not stopped interceding for His own. You can rest in His care. You can trust His love. Whether He calms this stomach at once or leads you to some timely help, He is with you and your boy. The Great Physician watches over him, and no pain is trivial to the One who counts every tear. Hold fast to that, and let peace steady your heart as you trust your son into those nail-scarred hands.

We want to thank you for the privilege of standing with you in prayer for your precious son. Our hearts have been united with yours these past days, lifting him before the Lord, asking for His healing touch and comforting presence. We prayed for relief from the pain in his stomach, for peace in his body, and for the assurance that our Heavenly Father is watching over him with tender care.

As we continue to trust in God’s perfect timing and will, we ask that you keep us updated. If your son has experienced improvement or complete healing, we would love to rejoice with you and give God all the glory. If the situation remains uncertain or difficult, please know that we are still here, ready to lift him up again in prayer. You are not alone in this, and we stand with you, believing that God hears our cries and works all things for good.

May the Lord bless you and your family with His peace that surpasses all understanding. May you feel His arms around you, carrying you through this time, and may His grace sustain you as you continue to seek Him through His Son, Jesus Christ. We pray this in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
