Son, protection

Beloved of All
Heavenly Father, I pray Your hedge of protection around my son ###, deliver him from every form of abuse, whether physical, emotional, or spiritual. Expose the deeds of darkness and bring them to light. Surround him with Your angels and fill him with Your peace and strength, in Jesus name Amen

We lift up to You, Heavenly Father, with heavy and hopeful hearts. We join this mother in pleading for Your divine protection over her son. Lord, You are the ultimate shield, the refuge in times of trouble, and the One who sees all things hidden in darkness. We declare that no weapon formed against shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against him in judgment, You shall condemn (Isaiah 54:17). We ask that You would indeed place a hedge of protection around him, physically, emotionally, and spiritually, just as You did for Job (Job 1:10).

Father, we pray against every form of abuse that may seek to harm him. Whether it be physical violence, emotional manipulation, or spiritual deception, we rebuke it in the mighty name of Jesus. We ask that You expose every deed of darkness, for nothing is hidden that will not be revealed, nor secret that will not be known (Luke 8:17). Bring to light any schemes of the enemy, any lies that have been spoken over him, and any strongholds that may have taken root. Let Your truth prevail, and let Your light dispel every shadow.

We also pray that You would surround with Your holy angels, who are ministering spirits sent to serve those who will inherit salvation (Hebrews 1:14). Let them encamp around him, guard his steps, and intervene in ways that only You can orchestrate. Fill him with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7) and strengthen him with Your might in his inner being (Ephesians 3:16). When he is weak, let him find his strength in You, for Your power is made perfect in weakness (2 Corinthians 12:9).

Father, we also lift up this mother’s heart to You. Parenting in a world filled with so many dangers and uncertainties can be overwhelming. Comfort her with Your presence, remind her of Your promises, and fill her with hope as she trusts in You. Help her to release her fears and anxieties into Your hands, knowing that You care for her and her son even more than she does.

We pray all of this in the powerful name of Jesus Christ, the name above every name, the One through whom we have access to Your throne of grace (Ephesians 1:21, Hebrews 4:16). There is no other name by which we can be saved or by which we can come before You (Acts 4:12). We thank You that through Jesus, we are more than conquerors, and that nothing can separate us from Your love (Romans 8:37-39).

Lord, we trust that You are working even now on behalf of . We declare that he is covered by the blood of Jesus, that he is sealed by Your Holy Spirit, and that he is destined for Your purposes. May he grow in wisdom, stature, and favor with You and with man (Luke 2:52). Keep him close to Your heart, and let him know the depth of Your love for him.

In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

We join you in praying for your son, asking God to watch over him and bring to light anything that needs to be confronted. It is no small thing to stand in the gap like this, your love and persistence in prayer matter deeply, both to him and to the Lord.

While we pray for a hedge of protection around him, we also want to encourage you to take whatever practical steps you can to keep him safe. If you know or suspect that he is being harmed, please reach out to those who can help, whether it’s a trusted Christian counselor, a pastor with experience in abuse, or the appropriate authorities. You don’t have to carry this alone, and getting him into a safe, supportive environment is an act of love alongside your prayers.

We also think about how abuse can distort a child’s view of authority and even of God, making them feel afraid, ashamed, or unworthy of care. Your steady, prayerful presence can be a lifeline, reminding him that he is loved and valued. When he feels the peace and strength you’re asking God to give him, those seeds of healing take root. So keep drawing close to him, keep listening, and keep inviting God into every corner of his life.

Let’s pray together now.

Jesus, we bring this son before You. Shield him from every form of abuse, physical, emotional, and spiritual. Send Your angels to guard him, and flood his heart with a peace that surpasses understanding. Give him strength that is beyond his years, and let any darkness be exposed so he can walk in the light. Sustain this parent with wisdom, courage, and hope. We trust You to do what only You can do. In Your name, Amen.

The arrow of the Lord’s deliverance is notched upon the bowstring of your prayer, and the very breath that fans your petition is the Spirit of Him who hears. When a mother’s cry rises for her son, it pierces the heavens swifter than any shaft loosed from an earthly archer. The powers of darkness may coil themselves about the young man, but what is their cord compared to the omnipotent hand that flung the stars abroad? He who gave Egypt and Ethiopia for His people, who gave heaven’s brightest jewel, His own dear Son, to redeem them from all iniquity, shall He not stretch forth His arm to pluck this child from the snare? The pit may gape, the shadows may deepen, but a ransom has been found. The clock of mercy struck in heaven the hour of deliverance when Christ drank the cup of wrath dry, and no accuser can out-argue that blood.

Yet mark this well: the deliverance for which you plead must sweep beyond the outward abuse. “He has delivered us from the power of darkness,” not merely from its threats, but from its tyranny over the heart. The gracious work of sanctification, like justification, is God’s gift alone. Do not stagger at this. Did He not bring Israel forth laden with silver and gold, so that not a hoof was left behind? Will He not do more than extract your son from the mire, will He not cleanse his feet and set him upon a rock? The evil one seeks to devour, but the Shepherd’s rod and staff are not idle. The rod chastens, yes, for “what son is he whom the father chastens not?” Yet the crook also rescues. The very terrors that fell upon Christ on Calvary, when He was made a curse for us though He knew no sin, have purchased a full emancipation, body, soul, and spirit.

Therefore, let your faith shoot the arrow. Strike the ground with the arrows of supplication, not just once, but repeatedly, until hope routs despair. You fear the deeds of darkness; but the Father sees what we cannot, and He has appointed the holy angels to keep charge over the beloved. When you say, “Expose the deeds of darkness,” you echo the eternal decree, for there is nothing hidden that shall not be revealed. The Dragon’s plots are transparent to the Omniscient Eye. And when you plead for a hedge of protection, remember that the thorn-hedge of affliction often proves the surest fence. The Lord chastens sorely, but He does not give us over to death. The boy may walk through the valley, but the rod and staff comfort him. I charge you, boast not in feelings of fear, but in the fact of the Ransom. “If the Son shall make you free, you shall be free indeed.”

That this son shall live and not die, and declare the works of the Lord, is the believer’s song before the deliverance is seen. Declare it now. In the face of every threat, lift up the shield of gratitude. The people of God are to recount the righteous acts of the Lord, not merely after the victory, but in the thick of the battle. The memory of the Paschal Lamb, the blood upon the door, was celebrated in the very land of bondage. So you, even now, bless God for the deliverance that is on the wing. It is of Free Grace only. The child cannot rescue himself, you cannot purchase his freedom with tears, but God has found a way through the rending of the rocks and the opening of the tomb. Rest your soul upon Him. The hosts of Syria could not stand against the prophet’s arrow, and the hosts of hell cannot stand against the intercession of the risen Son. Your prayer is that arrow; the victory belongs to Jehovah.

The very prayer you offer already shows the work of God, who has delivered us from the power of darkness and translated us into the kingdom of His beloved Son. Not from our own labors, but through His grace, we who were enemies have been made saints and sons. So your son is not merely a child of Adam but, far more wondrously, a child of God. For the One who was born of a woman did so that we might cease to be merely sons of women and be born after the Spirit. Doubt not, then, that the same God who became man for our sake is able to guard and deliver your son from every assault of the evil one.

Yet this deliverance does not stand idle. The Lord who commanded us to let our light shine also taught that deeds of darkness are brought to nothing when they are dragged into the light. Never be backward to reprove what is evil, nor displease at being reproved. For as long as anything is carried on in the dark, it festers with greater security; but when many witness what is done, it is exposed and overthrown. Your cry to the Heavenly Father is itself a shining lamp, scattering the thick mist. Persist in making this known, both to God and to whatever faithful witnesses He provides, for the Sun of righteousness rises with healing in His wings. True peace is not the false agreement of silence, but the peace that comes when the diseased part is cut off and the mutinous removed. So do not mistake a sinful quiet for the peace of Christ.

Fear not that your son is left alone in the struggle. Every believer has an angel set over them, as Jacob said, “The Angel that feedeth me and delivereth me from my youth.” These heavenly guardians always behold the face of the Father. Pray, then, for the angel of peace to encamp around him, and know that the peace of God is the mother of all good things. The Son of God Himself came not to be ministered unto but to minister, and to give His life a ransom for many. If your son suffers abuse, let him fix his eyes on the One who for his sake opened not His mouth in humiliation, yet who by that silence overcame all the world’s raging. He endured for enemies, not for Himself; and He will surely strengthen your son with that same divine power.

You have not asked for a small thing, but for the whole treasure of blessings that belong to sons of God. He who called us out of darkness did not merely release us, but brought us into the kingdom of His love. There is the full redemption, the forgiveness of sins, the adoption as sons, the indwelling Spirit. Hold fast to this: your son is in Christ, clothed with Christ, sealed with the Spirit of adoption. Therefore, with boldness and thanksgiving, continue to cry out, and surround him with the shining lights of faithful witnesses. Scatter the darkness; attract the Sun of righteousness. Then one and all, we shall offer up praise and glory to the God of lovingkindness, who is able to keep that which we have committed unto Him against that day. Let the peace of God, which passes all understanding, guard his heart and mind in Christ Jesus.
