We join you in lifting your son before the throne of grace, where the Great Physician hears our cries. Father God, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the only name by which we can approach You and receive healing and salvation. Your Word declares in James 5:14-15, "Is any among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord; and the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up." We stand on this promise, believing that You are able to restore health and bring comfort to this precious child.
Lord, we ask that You lay Your healing hands upon his esophagus. Soothe the inflammation, repair the eroded lining, and bring balance to the acid in his stomach. We rebuke any spirit of infirmity in Jesus' name, for Your Word says in 1 Peter 2:24, "by whose stripes you were healed." We claim this healing for your son, trusting that You are working even now to bring restoration.
We also pray for wisdom for the doctors and medical professionals attending to him. Guide their hands and minds, Lord, as they seek to provide the best care. Proverbs 3:5-6 reminds us, "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."
Father, we ask that You draw this family closer to You through this trial. Strengthen their faith and fill their hearts with peace that surpasses all understanding, as promised in Philippians 4:6-7, "In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus."
We also encourage this family to continue seeking You in prayer and to trust in Your perfect timing. Remind them that You are a God who hears and answers prayer, and that You are always near to those who call on You in truth (Psalm 145:18).
Heavenly Father, we thank You for Your love and mercy. We trust in Your power to heal and restore. May Your will be done in this situation, and may Your name be glorified through it all. In the precious name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.
