Son Abandons The Faith

Dear Prayer Team,

My 18 year old son, Grant, who accepted Christ as a child, has recently decided that Christianity is full of defects and is basically rejecting the faith. Hearing your precious child say such things is absolutely the most painful news a parent can hear. I am so stunned and distraught that I am lifeless. This has been an exceedingly difficult year for our family and I'm now sure how much more tragedy I can cope with. We lost 3 important seniors in our family through extremely unusual and tragic circumstances within only 4 months: an uncle, and then adoring grandparents - just 3 weeks apart. Perhaps in all of our grief, we did not realize how these events were damaging Grant's faith. Now, I don't know how to approach him and I am afraid that I will say the wrong thing. Unfortunately, he is going away to a Christian university in just a few weeks and we have little time. He is leaving on Monday to go to his freshman camp. Please pray for God to have mercy on him, rebuke these evil ideas and their source, return to Christ quickly, and to give his family and pastor the right words to say.

I will be praying, I understand this pain. My sister accepted Christ as a little girl, departed for a time....many prayers later, God in His mercy, made His self know to her in a very real way. Pray, Pray, Pray....and lead by example...Father, in Jesus name i ask you to show the love you have for this son, to bring him back home to you, like the prodigal, give this parent peace in knowing that You are in control. AMEN

Father I pray that faith be restored that the devil be removed and that Grant will find his way back to our Lord and savior. Amen

Heavenly Father, send the Holy Spirit to Grant. Help him find the peace & understanding, that You have a great purpose for him, that his mother feel your guidance in delivering Your message to him. May his Christian University be the blessing he needs in order to find You again. Amen

Heavenly Father, I pray you help young Grant to restore his faith in you. Open his heart and his eyes to receive your word while at the university. Be there for him while he works out his uncertainty. Forgive him. Also, Lord, be there for Roxanne as her heart bleeds for her son. Also, give her the strength to help her son along his journey.
