Humble Servant of All
I have been in hospital twice in ### weeks suffering from bad gallbladder attacks and whilst there it was discovered I have a heart problem which needs to be investigated. I got home from hospital at the weekend and I can hardly eat or drink because of nausea. Meds aren't helping. I can't get surgery for another ### months and have to travel ### miles to hospital for an MRSP scan before this. I live on my own so have no one to look after me. I suffer from mental health issues as well and this is being made worse. I have been going through so many trials for over ### years. Please Jesus help me 💖😥

We hear how weary and overwhelmed you are and we have lifted you up together before the throne of grace in Jesus' name. To have endured gallbladder attacks, two hospital stays in recent weeks, the discovery of a heart problem that still needs investigation, ongoing nausea that makes it hard to eat or drink, and the prospect of waiting months for surgery while facing travel for further scans is a very heavy burden to carry alone. We are so sorry you are living alone without daily help and that this physical suffering is worsening your mental health after so many years of trials. Please know you are not forgotten or unseen.

The Lord sees your exhaustion and your cry to Jesus delights His heart, for there is no other name by which we can be saved and by which we have access to the Father. As it is written, There is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus, 1 Timothy 2:5, and Whoever will call on the name of the Lord will be saved, Romans 10:13. We thank God that you have called on Jesus and we join you in calling on Him now for mercy, healing, and sustaining grace.

We pray together for you. Father in heaven, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ and we lift up Your child to You. You know every pain in the gallbladder, every irregularity in the heart, every wave of nausea and every anxious thought. We ask You to lay Your healing hand upon this body, to calm the nausea so that food and water can be received, to guide the doctors with wisdom for both the gallbladder and the heart, and to make a way for the scan and the surgery that is needed. Lord, provide strength for the travel and provision for every practical need. Above all, surround Your child with Your presence in that lonely home, for You have promised, Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit, Psalm 34:18. Comfort this weary mind and guard the heart with Your peace that surpasses all understanding, Philippians 4:7. Let Your strength be made perfect in weakness, 2 Corinthians 12:9, and remind Your child that You are our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble, Psalm 46:1. We ask this in the mighty and merciful name of Jesus, Amen.

We want to encourage you with the truth that God does not waste our suffering and He does not abandon us in it. We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose, Romans 8:28, even when we cannot see the good yet. Jesus invites you personally, Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest, Matthew 11:28. When you feel faint He says, Don't you be afraid, for I am with you. Don't be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness, Isaiah 41:10. When your heart is overwhelmed, you can pray as the psalmist did, When my heart is overwhelmed, lead me to the rock that is higher than I, Psalm 61:2.

We also encourage you, even in your weakness, to reach out so you do not have to walk this alone. If you have a local church family, please let a pastor or trusted believer know of your hospital stays, your difficulty eating, and your need for help with travel and daily needs. God has placed us in a body to bear one another's burdens, Galatians 6:2. Is any among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the assembly, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord, and the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up, James 5:14-15. Please also tell your medical team that the current medicines are not helping the nausea and that your mental health is suffering, so they can adjust your care and connect you with support. Cast all your worries on him, because he cares for you, 1 Peter 5:7, and keep bringing every need to Him in prayer day and night. We are continuing to pray that the Lord will sustain you through these months of waiting, restore your strength, heal your body according to His will, and fill your home with His peace and presence until you feel His arms holding you up.

We hear how worn down you are, two hospital stays in just weeks, a painful gallbladder, a new heart concern to wait on, and now coming home still feeling so sick and nauseated you can hardly eat or drink. Living alone with no one to look after you makes that even harder, and we understand how this would weigh heavily when you have already walked through years of trials and live with mental health struggles.

Please do not carry the medical part of this alone. Because you are unable to eat or drink much and the medicines are not helping, we encourage you to contact your GP or the hospital team promptly and let them know what is happening, including that you live on your own and feel unsupported. They need to know you are struggling day to day while you wait months for surgery and face a long trip for the scan. If you have a mental health worker, counselor or trusted GP, please let them know this season is making things worse so they can stay close to you. If you have a church, neighbor or family member, even one person to check in regularly can make a difference when you are home alone.

We are praying for you and holding you before the Lord in this long wait.

Father, in Jesus name we bring our friend to You, tired and nauseated and lonely and worried. Please give wisdom to the doctors and nurses caring for them, provide practical help at home and someone to come alongside, and guard their mind and heart with Your peace. Sustain them day by day until answers and treatment come. Amen.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Your weary cry has been heard, and we have carried it before the Lord with you. To be so afflicted in body, to face gallbladder attacks and now a newly discovered heart trouble, to be unable to eat or drink for nausea while medicine brings no relief, to wait months for surgery and to face a long journey for a scan while living alone, and to feel mental health sinking under the weight of it all after years of trials, is a very heavy burden. The Lord sees you in this place and He is not distant from your suffering.

You wrote that you live on your own with no one to look after you, and that loneliness can cut most deeply when the body is weak and the mind is troubled. Our Savior knows that loneliness. He was left alone just when as Man He most needed human sympathy, and He entered into deep soul conflict for His people. Because He has borne that loneliness Himself, He understands yours and He draws near to those who feel forsaken. Though you feel alone in your home, you are not alone in His sight, and He will not leave you to face this by yourself.

We take comfort with you in the precious truth that those who are in covenant with God through Jesus Christ are kept by Him. The promise stands, They shall not depart from me, and again, They shall never perish. The life imparted at regeneration is immortal and eternal, a gift Christ will not withdraw, and the purpose of God secures final perseverance. This perseverance does not come by the removal of trial or temptation, but by His keeping power in the midst of it. He who began a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ, and the righteous shall hold on his way even when the way is rough and long. If grace has truly changed the heart, that change is lasting, and He who preserves you will not let you go.

We also hear your anxiety about what lies ahead, the waiting, the travel, the nausea, the heart investigation, and the years of trials that have worn you down. Our Savior says do not be so affected by outward things as to be given over to worry and distress. Anxiety has never comforted anyone nor brought any real help, and it unfits us to meet the difficulty. This does not mean your cares are small, but that you may cast them upon Him who cares for you. Be prudent to seek help where you can, and tell the Lord all that troubles you in prayer rather than carrying it alone within yourself.

We are praying for you now, asking our Father in the name of Jesus Christ alone, our only Savior, to have mercy upon you. We ask Him to ease your nausea that you may eat and drink, to guide the doctors as they investigate your heart and plan for your gallbladder surgery, to provide strength for the journey to the hospital and provision for every need, and to lift the heaviness from your mind with His peace that passes understanding. We ask Him to place around you faithful Christian fellowship, that someone nearby might visit, help with daily needs, and bear this burden with you, for the Lord often provides His comfort through His people. May He give you day by day grace to hold on your way, keeping you in holiness and hope until He brings you through.

If you have a local church family, please let a pastor or trusted believer know how you are struggling so they can care for you in person and help you with practical needs. If distress becomes overwhelming, please reach out at once to your GP, a trusted person, or local support services where you are.

We will continue to remember you before the throne of grace, that you may know more deeply that He will not depart from you, and that you shall not depart from Him, but be kept by His power to the end.
