So tired

We hear your cry of weariness and we join with you in bringing it before the Lord, for He sees when we are tired and overwhelmed and He invites us to cast that burden on Him.

We are reminded of His promise in Matthew 11:28, Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest. And in Matthew 11:29-30, Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart; and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light. When our own strength fails, His does not.

The Lord also promises in Isaiah 40:29, He gives power to the weak. He increases the strength of him who has no might. And in Isaiah 40:31, but those who wait for Yahweh will renew their strength. They will mount up with wings like eagles. They will run, and not be weary. They will walk, and not faint. We take comfort that even when our flesh and heart fail, God remains the strength of our heart as Psalm 73:26 tells us, and that His grace is sufficient for us, for His power is made perfect in weakness as we read in 2 Corinthians 12:9.

We thank you for calling on the name of Jesus, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father and find true rest and healing.

We pray together with you now.

Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus and we lift up this weary heart to You. You know the weight of all of this that has brought such tiredness. We ask You to pour out Your strength where there is weakness, Your healing where there is brokenness and pain, and Your clear guidance where there is confusion and exhaustion. Lead this dear one when the heart is overwhelmed to the rock that is higher, as Psalm 61:2 says. Grant wisdom for each step, for You have promised in James 1:5 that if any of us lacks wisdom, we may ask of You and You give generously. Renew strength as we wait on You, bring deep rest to the soul, and let Your peace guard the heart and mind. Help us to rest in You, to trust Your timing, and to walk in Your way. We ask all of this in the mighty and healing name of Jesus, amen.

We encourage you to continue to wait on the Lord day by day, to bring every care to Him in prayer, to rest in His Word and allow Him to restore you. He is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble in Psalm 46:1, and He is faithful to carry you through this season as you lean on Him.

We hear how tired you are, saying it twice as if you have been carrying this for a long time. Thank you for bringing that honestly to Jesus and for letting us pray with you.

It makes sense to feel worn down when so much has been pressing on you. You asked for strength, healing and guidance, and those are good and right things to ask for. We want you to know God sees you in this tired place and He is near, not distant, as you seek Him.

When everything feels heavy at once, it can help to narrow the focus just a little. You might take a few quiet minutes today to write down the one or two burdens that feel heaviest, and then share them with one trusted person, a pastor, friend or family member. You do not have to solve everything today or carry it alone. If this deep tiredness continues or is affecting your body and daily life, please consider reaching out to your doctor as well as to pastoral support, so you have care for both body and spirit.

We are holding you in prayer.

Father, we bring our tired friend before You. Please give daily strength for what is in front of them, bring Your healing where there is hurt and weariness, and show a clear next step as they look to You for guidance. Help them to rest in Your care and to know they are not alone. In Jesus name, Amen.

There is a weariness that words can hardly carry, and the Lord knows it fully. Human strength, even at its best, spends itself and fails, for all strength apart from God is derived and measurable and must come to an end. But the promise stands, they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength. When there remains no strength in you, nor any ability of any kind, then you may fling yourself upon the divine strength and lay hold upon it. He has said, I will strengthen them in the Lord, and that strength is faithfully promised and will be assuredly performed. To wait upon Him is not to sit in despair, but to look to Him, to trust Him, to sit still while God arises and becomes your arm every morning, your salvation in the time of trouble. The glory of your strength lies not in yourself but in God alone.

There is also healing in Christ, and that in abundance. Not only is His fruit sweet and nourishing, but the very leaves of the tree are for the healing of the nations. The least thing about Christ is healing. His healing and His pardon go together, for when the Sun of Righteousness rises upon His people with healing in His wings, He says, your sins are forgiven you. Many a child of God when weary has renewed his strength at the remembrance of pardoning mercy. If you are sick unto death in body or in soul, ask to be forgiven through Jesus Christ alone, for there is no other name by which we are saved, and healing will come from the pardoning hand. Come and get a taste of the leaves of the tree which are for the healing of the nations, that you may revive out of decline.

And He who gives strength and healing will also give guidance. You shall guide me with Your counsel, and afterward receive me to glory. The way of guidance is to bow with submission to the will of God, to avoid everything that is evil, to take great principles from His Word and to walk by them, not hastily but trustfully. He does not leave His weary ones to wander alone.

Let us pray together. O Lord Jesus Christ, You see this tired heart and all that has brought this weariness. Forgive sin through Your blood, heal what is wounded and broken, and renew strength as only You can give it. Be the glory of our strength, and guide with Your counsel day by day, until You receive us to glory. Teach us to wait upon You and to trust Your faithful promise. Amen.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Your cry of weariness has been heard, and it is good that you have brought it to Jesus. He knows what it is to be weary and He invites those who are tired and heavy burdened to come to Him for rest.

In your tiredness, do not think that your prayer is in vain. Even when healing and strength seem slow to come, God is still at work. As a physician does not stop caring for a patient while sickness remains, so the Lord does not abandon us in our weakness. Sometimes the fruit of many prayers and many days of waiting is gathered all at once, though God has been working quietly through each one. He is able to renew strength even when we feel we have come to the very end of our own.

I will pray for you now.

Father in heaven, in the name of Jesus Christ Your Son, I lift up this weary one to You. You see their tiredness and You know every burden they carry. Grant them Your strength where they are weak, Your healing according to Your perfect will, and Your clear guidance for each step ahead. Help them to rest in Christ, to trust Your power both to heal and to sustain, and to lay hold of the eternal life You promise to all who hope in Him. Restore them day by day and teach them to wait on You with confidence. Amen.

May the Lord keep you close, give you peace in Him, and guide you with His wisdom. Keep seeking Him in prayer and in His Word, and do not grow weary in coming to Him.
