I am tired.

I am tired, my god. Absolutely tired. My heart feels heavy and it wont lighten up. I am so so so tired every days as I enter in this house, walk around these, give me some respite, my lord. I know you say that, God gives burdens to his strongest soldiers but please I beg you, JUST. GIVE. ME. A. FEW. DAYS. OFF. Make them go away. It's like I keep on breathing this murky air, making my lungs and my body heavy. Give the breath of fresh air. Please, my God. Please.

We hear the weariness in your words, the weight pressing down on your spirit, and our hearts ache with yours. You are not alone in this struggle, many of God’s children have cried out in exhaustion, longing for rest. The Scripture reminds us, "Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart; and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light" (Matthew 11:28-30). Jesus does not dismiss your fatigue; He invites you to lay it down at His feet.

Yet we must gently ask: have you fully surrendered this burden to Him, or are you still carrying it in your own strength? The Lord does not promise to remove every trial, but He does promise to sustain you through it. "Cast your burden on Yahweh, and he will sustain you. He will never allow the righteous to be moved" (Psalm 55:22). Sometimes, the heaviness lingers because we have not released it completely into His hands. We pray that you would find the courage to do so now.

We also sense a deeper longing in your words, a cry for escape, for relief from the very air you breathe in this place. If this home or these circumstances are toxic to your spirit, we must ask: is there unconfessed sin, bitterness, or unforgiveness weighing you down? "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness" (1 John 1:9). Or is there a call to action, perhaps setting boundaries, seeking godly counsel, or even physically removing yourself from harm? The Lord does not intend for you to suffocate in oppression. "The thief only comes to steal, kill, and destroy. I came that they may have life, and may have it abundantly" (John 10:10). If this environment is stealing your peace, we must pray for wisdom to walk in the abundant life Christ offers.

Let us lift you up in prayer now:

Heavenly Father, we come before You on behalf of our weary brother/sister, who is carrying a weight that feels unbearable. Lord, You see the tears they have cried in secret, the exhaustion that clings to their bones, and the longing for just a moment of relief. We ask that You would meet them in this place of weariness. Breathe Your fresh air into their lungs, Lord, let Your Spirit revive them. Remind them that You are their refuge, their strength, and their ever-present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1).

Father, if there is sin or unforgiveness holding them captive, reveal it to them now. Cleanse their heart and set them free. If this burden is one You intend for them to carry for a season, give them supernatural strength to endure. But if there is a path to freedom You are calling them to walk, make it clear. Show them where to find rest, whether in Your presence, in godly community, or in practical steps to change their circumstances.

Lord, we rebuke the spirit of heaviness that seeks to smother their joy. We declare that they are not abandoned, not forgotten, and not without hope. You are the God who parts seas, who raises the dead, and who turns mourning into dancing (Psalm 30:11). Do a miracle in their life, Lord. Give them a tangible taste of Your peace today.

And if they have not yet surrendered their life to You, Jesus, we pray that they would do so now. For there is no rest apart from You, no true peace outside of Your salvation. "For God so loved the world, that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life" (John 3:16). May they find their ultimate rest in You.

We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus, the One who bore our burdens on the cross so that we might walk in freedom. Amen.

Hold on, dear one. The night may feel long, but joy comes in the morning (Psalm 30:5). You are not forgotten. You are deeply loved. And the God who sees you is already at work.

We hear how worn down you are, coming into your house each day and feeling like the air itself is heavy to breathe. Asking God for just a few days to step away and catch your breath again is such an understandable cry when you have been carrying a lot for a long time without real respite.

When demands keep coming without a break, it is common to feel flattened in body and spirit, and even familiar rooms can start to feel close and murky. That does not mean you are failing. It often means you have been going without the rest and support anyone would need to keep going.

One gentle next step we would encourage is to let one trusted person in on exactly what you shared here this week, whether a pastor, a counselor, a family member or friend, and also your doctor. Not so they can fix everything at once, but so you are not holding this heaviness alone and you can talk together about what a brief respite could realistically look like, even a short time away or extra help in the house. If this tiredness and heaviness linger, seeing your doctor alongside prayer is a caring way to look after yourself.

We are carrying you in prayer.

Father, in Jesus' name we bring this tired heart before You. You see each day spent in that house and how heavy it feels to breathe right now. We ask for Your nearness, for wise and kind support to come alongside, and for moments of rest and fresh air. Give clarity for next steps and sustain them day by day in Your care. Amen.

Your weariness has been poured out before the Lord, and He hears the heavy breathing of a tired soul. You say you are tired, absolutely tired, that your heart feels heavy and will not lighten, that the very air in your house feels murky and oppressive. The Lord knows this heaviness. He does not despise a sigh. He invites the sighing ones to come near.

You quote a saying that God gives burdens to His strongest soldiers. That saying is not in the Scripture, though there is truth near it. The Scripture says, every man shall bear his own burden, and also that God will not suffer you to be burdened above that you are able to bear, but will with the burden make a way to bear it. It is not your strength that commends you to God, but His strength made perfect in weakness. You need not prove yourself strong enough. You need to come as one who has no strength, to Him who has all strength.

Our Lord Jesus said, Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. That is the first rest, a rest from the burden. You come with your sin, your sorrow, your weariness, and you lay it down at His feet, and He gives you rest. He takes the yoke of sin and self and Satan from off your neck. But there is a second rest which He gives, and it is a rest in service. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me, and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.

Do you see the wonder of it. You came heavy laden and you were told you should carry another burden, a yoke. Yet this yoke is easy because it is Christ's yoke, and this burden is light because He bears it with you. The rest He gives is not the rest of idleness, of merely having a few days off and an empty house, though I pray God in His mercy will give you needful respite and literal breath and sleep. The deeper rest is to rest in the Lord Himself. The text says, Rest in the Lord. Not rest in a change of circumstances only, but rest in the Lord Himself, in His mercy which blots out sin, in His power which sustains you, in His love which will not let you go.

It is good for a man that he bear the yoke in his youth. Not because the yoke is pleasant in itself, but because it teaches the soul to lean hard upon Christ, and it makes Heaven sweeter when at last we enter the perfect rest which remaineth for the people of God. Here rest is partial. There rest is perfect. There are no weary nights and no Monday mornings there. And the very heaviness you feel now will make that rest more glorious, when you shall rest not only from labour but in the presence of Him who is your eternal rest.

You ask for a breath of fresh air. That breath is the Holy Spirit, the Comforter. As all created things need renewal, so your soul needs renewal. Conversion is a work of resurrection power, and so is daily renewal. Ask Him to renew you. Go to Him again and again, not once only, and tell Him plainly, Lord, I am tired, I cannot carry this alone. Trust and you shall rest. That is the short way to rest. Trust Him to carry you and to carry your burden.

I will pray for you, that the Lord will give you a few days of true respite in His providence, that He will lighten the air of your home with His presence, that He will give you sleep and peace, and above all that He will cause you to enter even now into that rest which believers enjoy, a rest in Christ while yet you labour for Christ, like a bird that sleeps upon the wing. May He teach you to bear your burden not by fretting upon the top of it, but by laying it upon Him who bore the heavier burden of the cross for you.

Cast thy burden upon the Lord, and He shall sustain thee. Rest in God and be joyful, for you shall not have to carry this burden long, and you shall not have to carry it alone.
