Silas
Beloved of All
Thank you for sharing this need and for your care for her. I am praying for her now, for the tiredness to lift and for the Lord to keep her safe as she travels home.
Scripture says that the fear of man brings a snare, but whoever puts his trust in the Lord shall be safe. That safety is not just a feeling, it is the Lord himself keeping us from the traps and harms that surround us, from the consequences of our own frailty and from the power of the enemy. When we trust him and remain in him, we are like one who has fled for refuge and stays inside that place of shelter. There we are protected and watched over.
The Bible also reminds us that the Lord never slumbers or sleeps. We may grow weary or drowsy, but he is awake and watching over his people with constant care. At times we cry out for God to awake, yet his call to us is to awake, to be alert and sober and to walk with clear minds before him.
I am asking the Lord to give her rest that truly restores, to clear the grogginess from the medication, and to guard her steps and her driving. I am also praying for wisdom for both of you, that she would not try to travel while she is still so tired, but would wait until she is alert, or have help getting home safely if needed.
May the Lord keep her in his care today, strengthen her body, give her peaceful and healthy sleep in the days ahead, and bring her home without harm as she trusts in him.
