We thank you for giving us the privilege to pray on your behalf and we are glad that you asked us to stand in agreement with you in prayer during this difficult time in your life. We have been lifting you up as you shared about feeling tired and hurt by your sister's mistreatment for no reason, her unsupportive and unkind and selfish ways, and the painful pattern where she has long treated you and your mother and your father and your other sister terribly and differently from the rest of the family, yet expects you to be right there for her when she needs something such as childcare, switching to be nice only when it benefits her, and we understand why you feel weary and why you have expressed no longer wanting a relationship with her right now. We continue to bring you and your family and your sister before the Lord, asking Him to be your refuge and strength and to give you rest and peace while you walk through this hard season, and we ask Him to work in your sister's heart as a professing Christian that she would reflect the love and kindness of Christ, and to give you wisdom and discernment for healthy boundaries and grace to forgive as the Lord calls us to, even as we trust Him for protection and healing. We remember the promise in Psalm 34:18 that the Lord is close to the brokenhearted, and in Romans 12:18 that as far as it depends on us we should live at peace with everyone, and we pray that God will guide your next steps according to His will.
Father we lift our sister to you in her weariness and ask you to comfort her and heal her hurt and give her rest, and we ask you to soften her sister's heart and bring conviction where there has been meanness and selfishness and to help her to show kindness and selflessness, and to restore what is broken in this family in your timing and to help our sister to walk in wisdom and peace. In Jesus Name we pray, Amen.
