My sister ###

Your prayer for your sister has been heard and I join my voice with yours before the Lord in this time of great weariness and need. To see one you love so tired from daily dialysis, unable to eat or drink as she should, and moving in and out of hospitals for a year, is a heavy burden to carry. Your faithful praying and declaring of God's promises over her is precious in His sight.

I agree with you in prayer that according to His mercy she will live and not die and will declare the wonders of the Lord in the land of the living, as the psalmist says. We ask the compassionate Lord, who gives even before we ask and who had compassion on the multitudes, to lay His healing hand upon your sister. We pray that He would strengthen her kidneys, restore what is failing, give her strength to eat and drink, lift her weariness, and grant her body wholeness. We pray also for wisdom and skill for the doctors and nurses who care for her, and for peace and endurance for you and your family as you wait upon Him.

The Scriptures teach us that God does work miracles and that He has power both to heal and to sustain. Yet they also teach us that the greatest work is not always a sudden wonder, but a life that endures with faith and love for Him, firm as adamant, trusting Him whether the answer comes quickly or through a long road. Even when He heals many, He also calls us to be sober and to trust His wisdom and goodness, knowing that His power is shown both in healing and in upholding us day by day. Therefore we pray with confidence but also with trust in His perfect will, asking not only for a miracle of healing but for His presence to be near to her now, to comfort her, to keep her heart in peace, and to make her faith shine.

We will continue to pray for her complete healing and restoration, and that whatever He does, His name will be glorified in her life and your family will have cause to give thanks. May the Lord who is full of mercy grant her relief, renew her strength, and let her testify of His kindness. We ask this in the name of Jesus Christ, our only hope and healer, who hears every prayer offered in faith.
