Sister ### is not doing well

Anonymous

Beloved of All
My sister ### had breast cancer, and then it went to her brain. I need as many prayers as I can get for her healing. She now has a hematoma in her leg that was bleeding out and they had to do surgery. She can't even walk and she can't even go home. Please, I need your prayers for her. Thank you.

We have heard your burden for your sister and we are joining you together before the throne of grace in Jesus name to seek the Father's will for her healing and comfort. Our hearts are grieved to hear that the breast cancer has spread to her brain and that she has now suffered a bleeding hematoma in her leg requiring surgery, leaving her unable to walk and unable to return home. We are lifting her and you and your whole family up in prayer.

We take comfort in what Scripture tells us about our God who sees our suffering and is near to us in it. Psalm 34:18 says Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit. Isaiah 41:10 says Don't you be afraid, for I am with you. Don't be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness. Psalm 103:2-3 reminds us to Praise Yahweh, my soul, and don't forget all his benefits, who forgives all your sins, who heals all your diseases. And Jeremiah 30:17 gives us His promise, But I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh.

We also notice that your request did not mention the name of Jesus Christ. We gently want to remind you that it is only through Jesus that we have access to God the Father and it is only by His name that we can be saved and that our prayers are heard. Jesus said in John 14:6, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. And Acts 4:12 teaches There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved. We encourage you to place your trust fully in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, believing that He died for our sins and rose again, for Romans 10:9 says that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. It is in His precious name that we pray with confidence.

Let us pray together.

Father in heaven, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, lifting up this dear sister who is suffering so greatly. You know her by name, You formed her and You know every detail of her body. We ask for Your merciful healing hand upon her. We pray for the cancer in her breast and in her brain, that You would restrain its progress and if it is Your will, bring complete healing. We pray for her leg and the hematoma and the surgery she has endured, that You would stop the bleeding, bring restoration to the tissue, ease her pain, and restore strength so that she may walk again. We pray for wisdom and skill for her doctors and nurses and all who care for her, and we pray that You would give her comfort and peace that surpasses understanding as she cannot be at home. We also lift up her family who are weary and worried, that You would uphold them, give them strength for each day, and draw them closer to You through this trial. We trust Your goodness and Your sovereignty, asking that Your will be done in her life and that Your name would be glorified through her testimony. We ask all of this in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord and Healer. Amen.

We encourage you to continue to pour out your heart to the Lord and to stay close to His Word and to fellowship with other believers who can support you in prayer. James 5:15 says and the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up. Keep bringing her before the Lord daily, trusting that He hears and that He is working even when we cannot see the outcome. He is the God of all comfort who comforts us in all our affliction, as written in 2 Corinthians 1:3-4, and He will not leave you or your sister alone in this valley.

We were so sorry to read about your sister and what you both are carrying right now. Breast cancer spreading to her brain, then a bleeding hematoma and surgery, not being able to walk or go home, that is a lot of heavy news at once, and it makes sense you are asking for as many prayers as possible. We are praying with you for her.

When someone we love is in the hospital for a long stretch, the waiting itself is exhausting. One small thing that has helped other families is to let the presence of others carry part of the load. If you have a trusted friend, family member, or someone from your church, consider asking them to help coordinate updates so you do not have to repeat the hardest details many times a day. Keeping a simple notebook for questions you want to ask her nurses or doctors, and for what they share, can also make those brief conversations a little clearer when you are tired.

Please also be gentle with yourself in this season and let your own needs be seen, rest when you can, eat, and lean on those around you. Her medical team is the best place for guidance on her care and recovery steps, and we encourage you to keep bringing every concern to them.

Father, we lift this sister to You and ask for Your mercy and care over her. We pray for wisdom for her doctors and nurses, for healing and comfort in her body, for peace in the long days in the hospital, and for strength for her sibling who loves her so much. Hold them both close and let them know You are near. In Jesus' name, amen.

Your burden for your sister has been laid before the Lord with much tenderness and prayer, and we join our hearts with yours in asking for His mercy upon her.

How heavy this trial has been, first the affliction of breast cancer, then its spread to the brain, and now this bleeding in her leg requiring surgery, leaving her unable to walk and unable to return home. We very speedily care for bodily diseases, for they are too painful to let us slumber in silence, and they soon urge us to seek the great Physician for healing. We have sought Him on her behalf.

We are reminded that there is an abundance of healing power in Jesus Christ and His salvation. Not only is His fruit sweet and nourishing, but as it is written, the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations, and the least thing about Christ is healing. His healing changes the life blood and makes the nature other than it was before. When the Lord draws near to His people, healing and forgiveness are placed in happy conjunction, and both are bestowed. When Jesus healed the sick of the palsy He said, Son, be of good cheer, your sins are forgiven you. Pardon and healing were one, for the Sun of Righteousness has risen with healing in His wings.

We have prayed that the Lord, who alone can bind up wounds and heal the broken heart, would lay His hand upon your sister. We have asked that He would give skill and wisdom to those who care for her, that He would staunch what has bled, restore strength to her body, ease her pain, and if it be His gracious will, raise her up again. We have prayed also that He would sustain her soul and yours, and that in this dark valley she may know the contact of Christ Himself, who took the sick by the hand and lifted them up, for there is healing in that touch.

Even as we pray for her body, we pray for the perfect healing which His grace works within, that she may know pardon through Christ and the comfort of being in His family, for His salvation will at last perfectly heal both soul and body, till we shall be without spot or wrinkle.

May the Lord be very near to her bedside and to your own heart, keeping you both in His peace. We will continue to remember her before the throne of grace, asking the great conduit Head from whom abundant streams of healing flow down to men below, to deal graciously and mercifully with her according to His perfect will.

O you who are now sick unto death, ask to be forgiven and healing will come from the pardoning hand. May that hand be upon your sister even now. Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
