We hear your heart’s cry, and we join you in lifting your needs before the throne of grace. Your prayer is known in heaven. When you cry, "Dear God, take my hand," you are not speaking into the wind. The Lord's ear is open to the faintest breathing of His child. A breathing is a prayer from which God does not hide His ear.
I will remember you in prayer. It is my joy to carry your need before the throne of grace. You ask God to bless you, and this is right, for He is a God who does good, not merely wishing well but acting in goodness. He does not measure His blessing by your strength or even by the strength of your expression. The power of prayer is not measured by its outward expression.
The tender, compassionate God, our gracious, loving Father, will not tread on you when you lie in the dust before Him. He says, "As one whom his mother comforteth, so will I comfort you." Receive that comfort now. You may feel weak, but Christ does not lose His members. His union with His people is living, loving, lasting.
Let this be your confidence: God remembers His covenant, not because of our deserving, but for the sake of His own heart. He pardons sin fully, and with blessing He blesses us. Go to the assembly of God's people, for there He has promised comfort. But even now, as you sit alone, His arms are not too short to hold you.
