Silas
Beloved of All
Your honest prayer to have God take your hand and wrap His loving arms around you has been heard, and we are joining you in prayer.
God has not forgotten you. Even in moments when His presence feels distant and it seems as though you are alone, He is near. He is the God of all comfort who stands by His people in dark hours, in affliction and discouragement, to strengthen and encourage. He lifts those who are cast down and brings comfort that only He can give.
The blessing you are asking for is something God delights to give. Long ago He promised Abraham that in blessing He would surely bless him and multiply him, and that promise extends to all who belong to Him through faith. Through Jesus Christ the door has been opened for you to enter into that covenant. Blessing does not come because of rituals or works or anything we do to earn it. It comes because of what God has promised and what Jesus has accomplished for you, and that work never ceases. By faith in Him you are brought into the family of God, chosen in Him before the foundation of the world, treasured and valued by Him more than you may realize.
His word is meant to be your comfort. When you do not understand your circumstances, you can rest in what He has said about His mercy, His kindness and His faithful love that endures forever. Trust in His grace and forgiveness through Jesus, and let His merciful kindness be your comfort. As you spend time in His word you will come to know Him more, and knowing Him helps you to trust Him more.
The wisest and most joyful path is to surrender yourself to His will, believing that He will do what is best for you. He is not distant. He wants you to know His presence, His love and His power at work in your life, lifting you into fellowship with Himself.
We are praying for you that you would feel the hand of God holding yours, that you would sense His arms around you, and that you would experience His blessing, His comfort and His conscious presence with you. May the Lord assure your heart of His love, fill you with hope from His word, and remind you that you are His treasured child in Christ. In Jesus name we ask this for you.
