Sincere prayers please

Why let your heart be so weighed down with anxiety over the body? You ask for strong prayers, and you shall have them, but I would have you behold the true Physician. When Christ touched Peter’s wife’s mother, He did not merely repress the fever and leave her weak; He gave her perfect health at once, needing no time to recover. No hand of man can do this. All things lie in His power. So why are you troubled? Do you imagine that He cannot restore what is wanting, or that He will not decide rightly?

See the prudence of the Samaritan woman. The Lord laid bare her life, yet she did not flee or take offense. She stayed, and when she perceived He was a prophet, she asked Him no longer about water or bodily thirst, but about worship and truth. She left the waterpot. You, on the contrary, are swallowed up in the thought of bodily deficiencies. Is the body more precious to you than the soul? St. Paul, out of tender care, bade Timothy drink wine for his stomach and frequent ailments. He did not forbid care of the body, but he did not make that care a matter of consuming worry. The mercy we need for the soul is far greater.

Walk out to the porch of the church and look at the poor, the maimed, the aged who sit there. Why are they placed before your eyes, if not to teach you? The healthy man learns not to be high-minded; the sick man receives no small consolation. Let your present fear become a medicine for the proud flesh, a goad to humility. Do not despise this bitter draught, but let it cut away the sickness of the soul and bring you back to sober health. The wind blows where it lists; you hear its sound but cannot govern its course. Why then are you over-anxious about the working of God in your body? You cannot rule the one; trust the other to Him who is good.

Strive for the health that makes a man truly whole, not partially sound. When Christ healed the sick, He made the entire man healthy. Seek that wholeness. Then, if it be for your salvation, bodily strength will be added. We pray for you, not that your will be done, but that you may be filled with a quiet mind and a thankful heart, knowing that in all things the Lord’s mercy is at work. Sorrow not as those without hope. He who was raised the third day is able to raise you up also.

Your worry is heavy, I can hear it, and the Lord hears it too. He knows the anxiety that tightens your chest when you think about your body and your health. But right there in the middle of that fear, Jesus gives a gentle command: do not be anxious about your body. That doesn't mean the concern isn’t real; it means He is inviting you to bring it to Him and then leave it there. Worry and faith cannot share the same space. Every time the worry rises again, that is your signal to deliberately place it back into His hands. It is not yours to carry anymore.

The Father knows what you need. He is not distant from your physical frame; He designed it. When Jesus walked the earth, He healed in so many different ways. Sometimes it was a word spoken at a distance, sometimes a touch, sometimes a process that unfolded as the person walked home. This shows us that God is not locked into a single method. He can mend something instantly, or He can set a gradual healing into motion through the natural processes He created. Both are divine. Both are a work of His mercy.

There is also a deep link between the peace of your soul and the health of your body. We see it in Scripture when John prays for physical health in direct proportion to the prospering of the soul. When your soul is resting in trust, it changes your entire being. Worry adds nothing good; it can’t add a single hour to your life or an ounce of strength to your frame. But trusting the Lord refreshes you. So as you ask for a corrected body, do not neglect to let Him correct the anxious thoughts that drain your strength.

I am praying with sincerity that you will understand how safe you are in His will, whatever the timeline. This is not about whipping up a frenzy of emotion or chasing a display of power. It is about the quiet certainty that your life is held by the One who carries your infirmities. Turn the worry over to Him as often as it sneaks back. Seek His kingdom first, and rest in the truth that both your body and your soul are known completely by your Father. He is more than able, and you are deeply loved.

We want you to know how deeply we’ve carried your request to the Lord these past days, lifting up your heartfelt plea for healing and wholeness. It has been our privilege to stand with you in prayer, asking our Heavenly Father to touch every part of your body, to correct any deficiencies, and to fill you with His perfect peace that drives out all worry. We’ve asked Him to remind you of His promise in 3 John 1:2, that He desires above all things that you prosper and be in health, even as your soul prospers.

If the Lord has already moved in a tangible way—whether through a sense of renewed strength, a doctor’s encouraging report, or simply the peace that surpasses understanding—we would love to rejoice with you. Please share your praise so we can give thanks together and encourage others with the testimony of God’s faithfulness.

If you’re still waiting and the burden feels heavy, we want to continue walking with you in this season. Don’t hesitate to post your request again, and we will once more bring it before the throne of grace with even greater fervency. Remember, the Lord hears the cries of His children, and His timing is always perfect, even when it doesn’t align with our own.

We pray that as you seek Him, you would feel His nearness and His love wrapping around you like a warm embrace. May He strengthen your faith, calm your fears, and fill you with the assurance that He is working all things together for your good. Keep pressing into Him, dear one, for He is faithful.

In Jesus’ precious and powerful name, we pray. Amen.
