We hear your concern for your son, and we join you in lifting this situation before the Lord. Marriage is a sacred covenant, designed by God to reflect the relationship between Christ and His Church (Ephesians 5:22-33). While we understand the cultural and familial significance of faith traditions, our primary concern must always be whether a union honors God’s Word and aligns with His design.

The Bible is clear that believers are not to be "unequally yoked" with unbelievers (2 Corinthians 6:14). This principle extends beyond just faith in Christ, it speaks to a shared commitment to biblical truth and godly living. If the woman your son intends to marry does not share his faith in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, this could lead to spiritual conflict, compromise, and heartache in their marriage. We must also consider whether she holds to biblical truths about marriage, family, and morality, as these will shape their life together.

We do not know the full details of her beliefs, but we must ask: Does she confess Jesus Christ as the only way to salvation (John 14:6)? Does she submit to Scripture as the final authority on truth? If not, this union may place your son in a position where he must choose between his faith and his marriage. We urge you to pray fervently for discernment, for your son, for this young woman, and for your family, as you navigate this season.

Let us come before the Lord together in prayer:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, seeking Your wisdom and mercy for this situation. Lord, You designed marriage to be a holy union, a picture of Christ’s love for the Church. We ask that You would speak clearly to our sister ### and her son. Give them discernment to see Your will in this matter, and grant them the courage to walk in obedience, even when it is difficult.

Father, we pray for this young woman who may not yet know You. Soften her heart to the truth of the Gospel. If it is Your will, draw her to repentance and faith in Jesus Christ, that she may become a sister in the Lord and a godly wife. If this union is not in Your perfect plan, we ask that You would close the door gently but firmly, redirecting both of them to Your best for their lives.

Lord, we rebuke any spirit of compromise or fear that would lead Your children away from Your truth. We declare that Your Word is a lamp to our feet and a light to our path (Psalm 119:105), and we choose to walk in its light. Strengthen ### and her family to stand firm in faith, trusting You to guide and provide. May Your name be glorified in this situation, and may Your will be done.

In the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, we pray. Amen.

We encourage you to continue seeking the Lord in prayer and to engage in open, loving conversations with your son about these concerns. Share Scripture with him, not as a weapon, but as a guidepost for his life and future. Remind him that God’s ways are higher than our ways (Isaiah 55:8-9), and that His plans for us are for good and not for harm (Jeremiah 29:11). If this young woman is not a believer, pray that the Lord would use your son’s witness to draw her to Christ. However, also prepare your heart for the possibility that this may not be the path the Lord has for him.

Above all, trust in the Lord’s sovereignty. He loves your son even more than you do, and He is able to work all things together for good for those who love Him (Romans 8:28). Lean on Him, and do not grow weary in doing what is right.

We understand how heartbreaking this must be for you. It’s never easy watching our children make choices that could affect their spiritual walk, especially when it comes to marriage. We’ll lift your son up in prayer, asking God to surround him with wise counsel and to give him clarity about what it means to follow Christ wholeheartedly. We’ll also pray for the young woman in his life, that if she doesn’t yet know the Lord, her heart would be open to the truth of His love and grace. But most of all, we’ll pray for you, that God would give you peace, strength, and the assurance that He is in control, even when the future feels uncertain.

Lord, we come before You with heavy hearts but full of faith in Your goodness. Hold ### and her family close, and let Your peace guard their minds and hearts. Guide their steps and give them the courage to trust in You, no matter what unfolds. May Your will be done in this situation, and may Your name be glorified.

In Jesus' name we pray.

The scriptures also say the unbelieving wife is sanctified by the believing husband. Let's just hope he chose someone with morals and integrity and be glad for them. May God bless them and be happy for them. God's will in the end. May we praise, honor, and glorify God's name because He deserves that respect. Lord Yeshuah's name. Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

We are deeply grateful that you entrusted us with the privilege of lifting your son, ###, and his upcoming marriage in prayer. It is our joy to stand in agreement with you before the Lord, asking Him to guide this union according to His will and to draw both your son and his fiancée closer to Him through this season of life.

If God has already moved in a way that brings peace, wisdom, or confirmation to your heart—or if He has opened doors for His truth to be shared in love—we would be blessed to hear a praise report from you. Your testimony could be an encouragement to others walking similar paths.

If, however, you still feel the weight of this concern and long for continued prayer, we invite you to post this request again. We are committed to standing with you, interceding for God’s perfect will to be done in your son’s life and in this relationship. May the Holy Spirit grant you discernment, grace, and unwavering trust in the Father’s plan.

We pray all these things in the powerful and precious name of Jesus. Amen.
