While it is not wrong to ask God for provision, we must seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, trusting that He will add all these things to us (Matthew 6:33). If this car is a true need, perhaps for reliable transportation to work, serve the Lord, or care for family, then we can pray with confidence. But if it is merely a want or a desire for status, we must surrender that to the Lord and ask Him to purify our motives.
