Silas
Beloved of All
I prayed with you the moment I read your words, and I am still praying. The unspoken requests you carry are fully known to the Lord, even before a whisper leaves your lips. You have asked for someone to see the light, and for yourself, a place to live, employment, or financial relief. Do not think these needs are too small or too hard for the God who loves to provide.
Consider how God gave Moses the law for a leper's cleansing. Leprosy was incurable by any human means, yet God made a provision that left room for Him to work. He built in a way to act miraculously if He so chose. Your housing and your finances may look like a dead end right now, but the Lord is not hemmed in by your circumstances. He can open a door no one can shut.
At the same time, I must gently ask you to examine what the Scriptures teach about times of financial distress. The prophet Haggai spoke to people who were earning wages but felt like they were putting money into a bag with holes. The Lord explained why: they had neglected His house while rushing to build their own. Their priorities were upside down. When we honor God with the first of what we receive, we place ourselves under His provision in a deeper way. I have seen even those in severe poverty give generously to help others, and their joy overflowed, and their needs were met. This is not a harsh demand but an invitation to trust the Lord with your whole life, including your wallet. If you have held back from honoring Him first, I encourage you to consider bringing the firstfruits to Him and watching what He will do.
Above all, your prayer for that someone to see the light is the most urgent request of all. There is only one provision God has made for our sin and forgiveness, and that is through His Son, Jesus Christ. The Holy Spirit bears witness to this truth, and Jesus Himself said the Spirit would convict the world of sin because they do not believe in Him. Rejecting that provision leaves a person with no alternative, no other remedy for guilt. But receiving it brings righteousness credited to them by faith. Keep crying out for the one on your heart. The Lord desires none to perish, and He made the provision simple: look and live. I stand with you, asking that the blinders fall away and that they truly see Jesus. He is the only way.
As for your own need of a home and work, I am asking the Father to release what is needed. May you soon have a place of your own and the means to support yourself, so that your testimony of His faithfulness grows even stronger. In Jesus' name, amen.
