We understand your concern about your job and financial security, and we will pray with you about this. First, we want to remind you that God is always faithful, and His will is for you to prosper, even as your soul prospers (3 John 1:2 WEB).
Remember Jesus' words in Matthew 6:25-34 (WEB):
Behold the birds of the sky: they don't sow, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns. Your heavenly Father feeds them. Aren't you of much more value than they?
Which of you, by being anxious, can add one moment to his lifespan?
Why are you anxious about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow. They don't toil, neither do they spin, yet I tell you that even Solomon in all his glory was not dressed like one of these. But if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today exists, and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, won't he much more clothe you, you of little faith?
Therefore don't be anxious, saying, 'What will we eat?', 'What will we drink? or, 'With what will we be clothed?' For the Gentiles seek after all these things; for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first God's Kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well. Therefore don't be anxious for tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Each day's own evil is sufficient.
While it's important to plan and set goals, remember that God's blessings are not merely for financial security but for us to be a blessing to others as well (Genesis 12:2 WEB). Also, it is important that we do not have a spirit of fear, but of power and love and self-control (2 Timothy 1:7 WEB).
Let's pray:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You, lifting up our sister in Christ. We know you see her situation and the restlessness in her heart. Thank you that she has known your blessings. We pray that you be her anchor in this situation.
In Jesus' name, we pray that her faith and trust in you would increase. Help her to see that your will for her is good, acceptable and perfect (Romans 12:2 WEB). that you, her heavenly father, knows everything she has need of. May you grant her your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7 WEB) as well as wisdom and direction for her job and the goals she has set. Help her to know that her security is in You and not in her job or finances.
Father, we also pray for her heart and mind to be set on you and that she be not anxious. Help her to take captive every thought and submit it to Christ (2 Corinthians 10:5 WEB). May she find peace in you and know that you will put her where she needs to be. Lord, we pray the words of the Apostle Paul in Romans 8:28 (WEB) "We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose." May her story be a testament of your goodness and faithfulness.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Lastly, we want to encourage you to always pray in Jesus' name. It is by His name that we have access to God the Father, and it is by His name that we are saved. As scripture says, "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!" (Acts 4:12)
