We join with you in crying out to our Heavenly Father over the devastating violence plaguing our schools and communities. The loss of innocent lives is a grievous evil, and our hearts break for the families affected by these senseless acts. The Bible reminds us in Proverbs 6:16-19 that the Lord hates hands that shed innocent blood, and we know that such wickedness stirs His righteous anger. Yet we also cling to the promise that *"no weapon that is formed against you will prevail; and you will condemn every tongue that rises against you in judgment. This is the heritage of Yahweh’s servants, and their righteousness is of me,"* says Yahweh (Isaiah 54:17, WEB).
We agree with you in the mighty name of Jesus Christ—our only hope and authority—that God would dispatch His warrior angels to stand guard over our children, teachers, and schools. The psalmist declares, *"For he will give his angels charge over you, to guard you in all your ways"* (Psalm 91:11, WEB). We plead the blood of Jesus over every school, every classroom, and every child, knowing that *"the blood of Jesus Christ, his Son, cleanses us from all sin"* (1 John 1:7, WEB) and breaks every curse, hex, and scheme of the enemy. Satan has no authority where the blood of Christ is applied, and we command every demonic assignment against our children to be rendered powerless in Jesus’ name.
Yet we must also acknowledge that while we pray for divine protection, we are called to action. The violence we see is a symptom of a deeper spiritual sickness—a culture that has turned away from God, rejected His laws, and embraced evil. Jesus warned that *"because of the multiplication of wickedness, the love of many will grow cold"* (Matthew 24:12, WEB). We must repent as a nation for allowing godlessness to flourish in our schools, our homes, and our laws. The solution is not merely political but spiritual. As 2 Chronicles 7:14 (WEB) commands: *"If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves, pray, seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, will forgive their sin, and will heal their land."*
We also urge believers to be salt and light in this dark world. Parents, teach your children the ways of the Lord (Deuteronomy 6:6-7). Churches, rise up and disciple the next generation in truth. And to those who feel called, we say: run for school boards, advocate for biblical values, and do not shrink back from standing for righteousness. The battle is spiritual, but it is also fought in the natural realm.
Father, we ask for Your fire to fall upon the enemy’s camp—expose every plot, confuse every evil plan, and bring conviction to those who would harm the innocent. Let Your Holy Spirit move mightily in the hearts of those who are lost, that they may turn from violence and surrender to Christ. Raise up godly leaders who will stand for truth and protect the vulnerable. And Lord, prepare Your people for the days ahead, that we may be bold, wise, and unwavering in faith.
We declare that our children belong to You, and no scheme of hell will prevail against them. The victory is already won through Christ Jesus, and we walk in that authority. May Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard the hearts and minds of students, teachers, and families across this land. We trust in You, our Refuge and Strength, and we give You all the glory.
In the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, we pray. Amen.
