I worked six months at company my manager promise me to take me permanent but took other people instead after she made made this huge promise to me im 4 months at home applying for jobs with no luck my husband salary dont cover everything this has been emotional draining affecting us financially to orayinf for breakthrough because we got two sons depending on us

The emotional and financial strain you’re experiencing is real, and we lift it all before the Lord, trusting that He sees your struggle and has a plan for your provision.

First, we must rebuke the spirit of discouragement and fear that may be trying to take hold of your heart. The enemy wants you to feel hopeless, but God’s Word declares in Jeremiah 29:11, "For I know the thoughts that I think toward you,” says Yahweh, “thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future." Your breakthrough is coming, and we declare that God will open doors no man can shut (Revelation 3:8).

We also want to encourage you to keep pressing forward in faith. Proverbs 3:5-6 reminds us, "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight." Even when the job search feels fruitless, God is working behind the scenes. He knows your needs, and He will provide in ways you may not yet see.

Financially, we pray that God would stretch your husband’s income and provide unexpected blessings. Philippians 4:19 assures us, "My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus." We declare that lack will not have the final say in your home. Let us also encourage you to seek wise counsel if needed, whether through budgeting, exploring temporary work, or even asking your church family for support. You are not alone in this.

For your marriage, we pray that God would strengthen your unity and communication during this trial. Money struggles can strain even the strongest relationships, but Ecclesiastes 4:12 tells us, "A threefold cord is not quickly broken." When you and your husband stand together in faith, God binds you with His strength. Lean on each other and on Him.

Most importantly, we want to remind you that your worth is not defined by your employment status. You are valued, loved, and purposefully created by God. Psalm 139:13-14 says, "For you formed my inmost being. You knit me together in my mother’s womb. I will give thanks to you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made." Your identity is in Christ, not in a job title or a manager’s empty promise.

Let us pray for you now:

"Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up this precious family to You. Lord, You see their struggle, the broken promises, the financial strain, and the weight of providing for their children. We ask that You would move powerfully on their behalf. Open doors of opportunity that no man can close, and provide for their every need according to Your riches in glory.

Father, we rebuke the spirit of discouragement and fear. Replace their anxiety with Your peace, which surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). Strengthen their faith as they wait on You, and remind them that You are their Provider (Jehovah Jireh). Give them wisdom in their job search, and let favor surround them like a shield (Psalm 5:12).

For their marriage, Lord, we pray for unity and resilience. Help them to encourage one another and to trust in You together. Bless their home with Your presence, and let their sons see a testimony of faith in action.

We declare breakthrough over this situation, in Jesus’ name. May Your will be done, and may Your name be glorified in their lives. Amen."

Keep pressing forward, dear one. Your breakthrough is closer than you think. In the meantime, hold fast to God’s promises and trust that He is working all things together for your good (Romans 8:28). You are not forgotten.

We're so sorry you're walking through this, the weight of a broken promise, month after month of silence after applying, and the growing pressure of making ends meet for your sons. That's an exhausting place to be, and we don't want to rush past how much it hurts.

What you're describing sounds a lot like the grief of job loss, researchers have actually mapped out stages that many people go through: disbelief, anger, a burst of determined effort, then frustration when doors keep closing, and finally a drained resignation. None of that means you're doing anything wrong. It means you're human, and you've been carrying a heavy load for a long time.

Since you named the financial strain as what's hitting hardest right now, this may be a moment to look at anything that could ease the immediate pressure, maybe a temporary role with flexible hours, even if it's not in your field, just to create some breathing room while you keep searching. Some churches and community organizations also have benevolence funds or connections to employers that most people wouldn't think to ask about. Letting a few trusted people at church know the real situation can feel vulnerable, but it also opens doors you can't open on your own.

We're praying you feel God's provision and nearness right now, not as a distant hope, but something steady and real in the middle of the uncertainty.

Jesus, we lift up this wife and mom to you. You know the weight she's carrying, the bills that feel impossible, the discouragement that hits fresh every day the phone doesn't ring. Please open a door for meaningful work, provide for this family in ways they can't orchestrate themselves. Guard her heart from despair, and give her and her husband unity and endurance as they walk this together. Hold their sons close, and let this season end with relief and a tangible sense of your care. In your name we pray, amen.

The sharp disappointment you feel is a file God uses to smooth the rough edges of your soul. When earthly promises fail, the promise of His presence stands unbroken. You have been made to taste the bitterness of men’s fickle words that you might cling more tightly to the faithful Word of your God. In such a season, let me press upon you the urgent necessity of family prayer. I fear many households let it slip when the purse grows thin and the heart grows faint, yet that is the very hour to double the devotion at the domestic altar. Family prayer is the nutriment of family piety; it builds a castle around your home and lets the two sons see where true help lies.

Do not think these straits have come because you are cast off. The Lord scourgeth every son whom He receiveth; your present trial is the rod on a child’s back, not the sword of an enemy. Are you part of that sacred family, bound to the Lord Jesus Christ by a living faith? The whole family in heaven and earth is one, and though you feel divided from comfort by a heavy cloud, the Father’s face is unchangeable. Noah left his house and entered the ark, and so his household was saved. Lead your dear husband and those precious boys not into murmuring, but into the ark of believing prayer. Let your lack become the very soil where private supplication and family intercessions grow with double zeal. I trust you can say of late, “I have been reading my Bible; I have been crying out to God alone,” but now let that bud of private prayer spread until it fills your house with the fragrance of united worship.

You are tempted to look only at the bills and the denied opportunity, but lift up your heart. He that gives rain in the wilderness also sends a clear shining afterward. Your husband’s salary may not cover everything, but the Lord’s treasury is inexhaustible. He can multiply the loaves, open a new door of employment, or teach you such deep contentment that the sting of poverty is removed. The promise of the wicked may cheat you, but the covenant of grace cannot fail. Only see to it that you and your household are fully inside that covenant by sincere faith. Mourn any rebellion; rejoice that you are permitted to be a reconciled child; then wait cheerfully until the morning breaks.

You are tasting now what the patriarchs endured, how the promise of men is set in opposition to the thing given. Your manager spoke words that seemed sure, and yet you saw others taken instead, and you were left at home with want pressing upon your household. This is the very kind of trial where faith is proved. Do not let your heart be darkened by despair, for that would be to imitate the spies who brought back an evil report and turned the people back from entering the land. Be rather like Caleb, who trusted the promise of God even when sight showed only giants.

Consider Abraham, to whom God swore by Himself, promising blessing and multiplication. Yet after the promise he sojourned in a land where he owned not even a foot’s breadth, and he was commanded to sacrifice the very son through whom the promise would be fulfilled. He waited long, he endured contradiction, and he obtained the promise when his faith had been refined. So also with you: God permits these delays and these human disappointments not to cast you away, but that you might learn to rest your hope entirely upon Him, whose word cannot lie. The promises of this world are a shadow; they promise and do not perform. But the Lord is not slack concerning His promise, though He often gives after a long space to make His power known and to draw you to cling to Him alone.

Do not faint because the salary is insufficient and the days are long without work. Remember that our Master has taught us to seek first the kingdom, and all these things, food, clothing, provision for your sons, will be added. He gives even now in the way of addition, as a foretaste, so that you might not grow weary in the combat. The affliction is severe, I know, and the heart sinks. But it is precisely in such a furnace that the faithful are purified. Those who received not the promises at once, yet by patience endured, were commended before God. Your very need is a call to approach the holy Mysteries with deeper longing, to see in the broken Bread the proof that He who did not spare His own Son will surely provide for your temporal life as well.

Do not say you have been deceived. No, but arm yourself with patience and active hope. Continue applying; rouse your husband to prayer with you; pour out your request for a breakthrough, but let your cry be mixed with thanksgiving, knowing that He sees the tears of your household. He promises you being worthy, through Christ, and He will not forget the affliction of your sons. The time of emptiness is not a denial of the promise, but the school of endurance. Stand fast, then, and do not draw back, lest you lose the reward prepared for those who hold fast their confidence to the end.
