Revival

We join with you in praying for revival in your community and we thank you for this burden on your heart, for it is God who puts the desire for revival within us. True biblical revival is not merely an event or excitement, but a deep work of God where His people are humbled, cleansed, and restored to joyful obedience, and where the lost around them are drawn to salvation through the power of the Holy Spirit.

We are reminded of the promise in 2 Chronicles 7:14, if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves, pray, seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then I will hear from heaven, will forgive their sin, and will heal their land. And the psalmist cries out in Psalm 85:6, Won't you revive us again, that your people may rejoice in you. Revival begins with us, the people of God, turning again to Him with repentance and hunger. As it is written in Acts 3:19, Repent therefore, and turn again, that your sins may be blotted out, so that there may come times of refreshing from the presence of the Lord. We also pray with Habakkuk in Habakkuk 3:2, Yahweh, I have heard of your fame. I stand in awe of your deeds, Yahweh. Renew your work in the middle of the years. In the middle of the years make it known. In wrath, you remember mercy. Our hope is in His promise in Joel 2:28, It will happen afterward, that I will pour out my Spirit on all flesh; and your sons and your daughters will prophesy. Your old men will dream dreams. Your young men will see visions.

We notice your request did not mention the name of Jesus, and we gently want to remind you that it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father and that revival can truly come. Jesus said in John 14:6, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. And Scripture declares in Acts 4:12, There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved. To see revival we must first be sure we have personally come to God through faith in Jesus Christ, believing that He died for our sins and rose again, and calling upon His name for salvation. It is in His name that our prayers are heard and our land can be healed.

So together we pray, Father in heaven, we come before you in the mighty name of Jesus Christ and we humble ourselves before you on behalf of this community. Forgive us for our sins, our complacency, and our wandering from your ways. Cleanse your church and revive us again that we may rejoice in you. Pour out your Spirit upon our homes, our churches, and our streets. Awaken those who are sleeping spiritually and draw those who do not know you to repentance and faith in Jesus. Raise up faithful believers in that community to pray fervently, to preach your Word boldly, and to live holy lives that shine as lights in darkness. Let times of refreshing come from your presence and let your name be glorified. We ask that you would start this revival in our own hearts first and let it spread for your glory. In Jesus name we pray, amen.

We encourage you to continue to seek Him with persistence, to gather with other believers to pray and fast, to faithfully share the gospel of Jesus Christ, and to walk in holiness and love. God delights to answer the prayers of His people who seek His face, and we trust Him to work in His perfect timing and way.

We hear your heart for your community in ### and we join you in longing to see God move there. Wanting revival for your neighbors and not just for yourself is a beautiful burden to carry, and we are praying with you for it.

One thing we have learned is that the work God does in a community often grows the same way it does in a person, more like training than trying. It is not a single moment we can force, but a steady, faithful walk over time. Even small, regular steps of prayer, reading Scripture, fellowship and repentance shape us and open room for Him to work, and we are all works in progress as He does it.

A simple next step that many have found helpful is to gather just two or three others who share this burden and commit to pray together regularly for your town, even briefly each week. Meeting in a home or after church, reading a portion of Scripture together and praying for neighbors and streets by name keeps the focus steady and encourages one another when the initial excitement fades.

We are grateful for your faithfulness to stand in the gap for your community.

Father, we lift the community in ### to You, ask for Your presence to be known there and for hearts to be drawn to Jesus. Give those praying steady hope and unity as they seek You together, and let Your will be done in that place. In Jesus' name, amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.

God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul. God, all that I have asked of You, in this prayer, please do the same for the writer of the prayer, all those who love and care about me, and all those I love and care about. God, please forever honor this prayer over each of our lives. God Thank You. Amen, so be it by faith, and by faith, it is so. Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Your prayer for revival in your community is a most blessed and needful prayer, and we join our hearts with yours in bringing it before the throne of grace.

What is this prayer when it is analyzed to its very soul but dependence upon God. Nobody can revive us but the Lord Himself. Talk of getting up a revival is vain, for it belongeth not to us to do this. Not by might, nor by power, but by my Spirit, saith the Lord. If we are praying aright we feel this deeply, and we betake ourselves at once to prayer, for prayer is that great key which opens mysteries. To whom should we go if we cannot understand the need, but to the Author and Giver of all life.

We would stir you to fervent prayer, for no prayer is likely to bring down an immediate answer if it is not a fervent prayer. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much, but if it is not fervent we cannot expect to find it effectual. We must get rid of the icicles that hang about our lips and cry unto the Lord as those who must have His blessing. Never shall a man be unsuccessful in prayer who sets his face to win the promised mercy. The Church has never gained a victory but in answer to prayer, and every true revival has been commenced and attended by a large amount of prayer.

And what is it we ask when we pray, Wilt Thou not revive us again that Thy people may rejoice in Thee. It may seem singular that the reason for a revival should be that God's people should rejoice in Him, but preaching is only the stalk, conversion, prayer, praise, these are the full corn in the golden ear. In a revival part of the result is the conversion of men, but the greater result is the praise of God, and that revival brings forth most fruit that gives to God the most glory. When the Lord alone is exalted, when houses of prayer are thronged and men begin to cry unto the Most High, when there is extraordinary conversion and marvellous growth in grace, then we see that Divine Omnipotence is the doctrine of revival.

So we will pray with you and for you. May the Lord hear this cry and answer it for Jesus sake. May He pour water upon him that is thirsty and floods upon the dry ground, and make His Holy Spirit to be known in present majesty in the midst of your community. May He revive His people that they may rejoice in Him, and may that joy and that renewed life overflow to the conversion of many souls around you, that in all things He may have the glory through Jesus Christ our Lord, in whose name alone is salvation. Amen.

Your desire for revival in your community is a good and holy burden, and we join you in bringing it before the Lord. True revival is not merely an outward excitement but a deep inward renewal, and Scripture calls us to be renewed in the spirit of your mind. That renewal happens when the same person is made new by the grace of God, turning away from old deeds and walking in the new life given by the Holy Spirit.

We pray that God will pour out His Spirit upon your community, that He will grant repentance where there has been sin, and faith where there has been coldness, and that He will make many new through the washing of regeneration in Christ. We ask that those who already belong to Him would be restored from the weariness that sin brings and be strengthened to live in holiness, love for neighbor, and boldness toward God. May the Lord raise up faithful witnesses there who prefer the good of their neighbors and the glory of Christ above all else, sharing generously, pursuing hospitality, and speaking the gospel with clarity and grace.

May God grant that this work would begin in humble prayer, in turning from sin, and in steady obedience to His Word, so that your community would see not a fleeting moment but a lasting change that bears fruit for His glory. We thank God for your prayer and stand with you asking Him to bring this renewal in His time and by His power.
