We join you with one heart in this cry to our Lord Jesus Christ to revive His Church again, for this is a prayer that is after God's own heart and according to His will.
We hear the burden of your heart, that we His people have grown cold, weary, distracted, and in need of His fresh mercy and power. This is the very prayer of the psalmist when he cried, Won't you revive us again, that your people may rejoice in you Psalm 85:6. True revival is not merely excitement or outward activity, but a return to first love, to holiness, to the presence and power of the Holy Spirit.
The Lord has shown us the pathway to revival, if my people who are called by my name will humble themselves, pray, seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then I will hear from heaven, will forgive their sin, and will heal their land 2 Chronicles 7:14. We are reminded also of the call to the church that had left its first love, Remember therefore from where you have fallen, and repent and do the first works Revelation 2:5, and the prophet's prayer, LORD, I have heard of your fame. I stand in awe of your deeds, LORD. Renew your work in the middle of the years Habakkuk 3:2.
We must humbly acknowledge that revival begins with repentance in our own hearts, a turning from lukewarmness, from worldliness, from compromise and sin, and a hungering again for the Word of God, for prayer, for holiness, and for the lost to be saved. God has promised, It will happen afterward, that I will pour out my Spirit on all flesh Joel 2:28, and this was fulfilled and continues as Peter declared, I will pour out my Spirit on all flesh Acts 2:17. We long for those times of refreshing from the presence of the Lord Acts 3:19.
Together we pray before the throne of grace in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, for it is only through Him we have access to the Father.
Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ Your Son, humbling ourselves before Your holiness. Forgive us for our coldness, our prayerlessness, our compromise, and our lack of zeal for Your glory. Lord, we ask You to revive us again. Pour out Your Spirit upon Your Church, cleanse us by the blood of Jesus, restore to us the joy of Your salvation, and renew a right spirit within us. Kindle in us a fresh love for Jesus, a hunger for Your Word, a life of fervent prayer, and a boldness to proclaim the gospel. Let repentance sweep through Your people, let holiness be restored, let unity and love abound, and let the lost be drawn to Christ through a revived and radiant Church. We ask You to revive our families, our congregations, and our land, that Your name alone may be glorified. Do Your work in our midst, Lord, in our generation, for Your glory and for the sake of souls. In Jesus' name we pray, amen.
We encourage you to continue to stand in the gap, to seek His face daily, to gather with other believers to pray earnestly and to live in readiness for His working. He who promised is faithful, and He delights to answer the cry for more of Himself. We join our faith with yours, believing that He will revive us again that we may rejoice in Him.

Your cry for revival is one in which every faithful heart must join, and we do join with you before the throne of grace with great earnestness. There is no prayer more needful in this hour than that ancient prayer, O Lord, revive thy work in the midst of the years, and again, Wilt thou not revive us again that thy people may rejoice in thee.
We must commence with ourselves, remembering that we are a part of the Church and that our own need of revival is in some measure the cause of that need in the Church at large. The members of Christian Churches are not what they once were. There is an absence of that solemn earnestness which was once seen in Christian pulpits and in the pews, an absence of sound doctrine, and a want of downright earnestness in the service of Christ. He who says he needs no revival in his soul yet needs a revival of humility at any rate. An humble Church will be a blessed Church, a Church that is willing to confess its own errors and failures and to lie at the foot of Christ's cross is in a position to be favoured of the Lord.
Let us remember that a revival cannot be gotten up by machinery. That were insufferable arrogance. Not by might, nor by power, but by my Spirit, saith the Lord. People often talk about getting up a revival, but a Church cannot be revived unless God revives it. In vain we shall struggle after revival unless we have His presence. Every true revival has been commenced and attended by a large amount of prayer. The Church must water the seed sown with her abundant tears. God is able to give His Church the largest blessing and to give it at any time, for He delights to bless His people at the mercy seat, and He has staked all His power to build His Church.
Therefore we pray with you, and we entreat all who read this to pray, that the Lord would visit His Church again. Lord, revive the Church officers. Lord, revive the workers. Lord, revive the members of the Church. Lord, revive the backsliders. Lord, revive those who seem to live but have grown careless. Lord, revive the Church at large throughout the whole earth. Grant us a revival of sound doctrine, of solemn and joyful worship, of thanksgiving and the voice of melody, and of earnest zeal to fight the Lord's battles. And in that revival let the result be not only the conversion of sinners, for all are fallen and desperately depraved by nature and have need of that same power which raised Jesus Christ from the dead, but the praise of God Himself, that He alone may have the glory.
May the Lord hear this cry and answer according to His abundant mercy in Christ Jesus, through whom alone is salvation, and for whose sake we ask it.
