We join with you in asking for revelation, guidance and understanding and we bring your request before the Father in the name of Jesus, for it is in His name we have access to the throne of grace.
We are encouraged by your desire to seek God's will and to understand what He is showing you. Scripture assures us that God delights to reveal Himself and His ways to those who seek Him with a sincere heart. James 1:5 says, But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him. Psalm 32:8 says, I will instruct you and teach you in the way which you shall go. I will counsel you with my eye on you. And Proverbs 3:5-6 says, Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight.
We also remember Jeremiah 33:3 which says, Call to me, and I will answer you, and will show you great and difficult things, which you don’t know, and Daniel 2:22 which says, He reveals the deep and secret things. He knows what is in the darkness, and the light dwells with him. True revelation will always align with His written Word, for the Holy Spirit illuminates Scripture to give us understanding, as Ephesians 1:17-18 says, that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you a spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him, having the eyes of your hearts enlightened.

Father, in the name of Jesus Christ we come before You on behalf of this dear one who is hungering for revelation and guidance. We ask that You pour out a spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of You. Open the eyes of their heart to see and understand what You are speaking. Make Your will clear and give divine guidance for this specific matter they are lifting up. Remove all confusion and anxiety and grant peace that surpasses understanding as they wait on You. We ask that You speak clearly through Your Word and by Your Holy Spirit, and that You give them discernment to know Your voice and to walk in obedience. Lead them in the path You have chosen and let them know the next step to take. We thank You that You are faithful to guide those who trust in You and we thank You for answering now according to Your perfect timing and wisdom. In Jesus' name we pray, amen.

In our walk with the Lord we have found His direction often becomes clear not in one sudden moment but as we keep seeking Him with a quiet and humble heart. It helps to be honest before Him about what you hope He will say, and also what you might be worried He will say, so you can tell the difference between His leading and your own pressures or wishes.
One simple step that helps many people is to write down the specific question you are bringing to God and the options in front of you. Bring that same written prayer to Him each day for a little while, stay steady in His Word, and notice what themes keep returning. It also helps to share what you are hearing with a trusted pastor or mature believer who knows you and can listen and weigh it with you.

Your longing for light and understanding has been heard and we join you in prayer before the throne of grace.
We pray in the name of Jesus Christ, through whom alone is salvation, that the Lord will guide you with His counsel and afterward receive you to glory. As it is written, Whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely. May you be found willing in the day of His power, for it is the work of the Spirit, which is the effect of the will of God, to change the human will and to make men willing to come to Christ and to walk in His ways.
We ask the Father to grant you not a fanciful revelation beyond His Word, but true spiritual understanding according to His revealed will. Believe this Bible from the first word of Genesis to the last line of Revelation, for it will never mislead you. Nine times out of ten, look to the Ten Commandments and to the plain directions of Scripture and you will at least know what you must not do, and knowing that you will be able to conclude what you may do. There is a revealed will which we must not violate, and a providential will which we should always consult, which comes from the circumstances that surround us.
We pray also that you may have grace to say, I will go or I will stay, if it is the will of God. Do not be as those who say, We will go, we will buy, we will sell, we will get gain, as though we could both propose and dispose without asking God's consent at all. Sometimes even to be passive in the hand of God will be our strength, and to stand still until the cloudy fiery pillar moves in front of us will be our highest wisdom. Bow with submission to the will of God, for by that very fact we are furnished with unerring guidance.
May the Lord in His mercy show you His way, make His Word sweet to your heart, and keep you near Himself, for if you live near God, He will say things to you in His Word and by His Spirit that bring peace and clarity. May He preserve you, cause you to persevere, and give you an increase of wisdom, that you may know what is pleasing in His sight and do it to His glory.
We commend you to Him who is King, willing to do as He pleases, having mercy on whom He will have mercy. May the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you, to enlighten, to guide, and to keep you till He brings you to His eternal glory. Amen.

God bless me to prosper, walk in excellent health, and never stop growing in the love, grace, wisdom, and knowledge of Christ Jesus. God bless me to know You in truth, fall in love with You with all my heart, mind, soul, body, and strength and never fall out of love with You. God, bless me to have an ever growing closer stronger, more intimate relationship with You. Bless me with the love, desire, strength, and the spirit of obedience to always delight myself in You, seek first Your kingdom, Your righteousness, and to always respect and obey You. Your prayer for revelation and for guidance and for greater understanding has been heard, and I join my prayer to yours before God in the name of Jesus Christ.
The desire to understand the things of God is itself a good gift, but we must remember how that understanding comes. Believing is not a matter of human reasoning alone, nor does it come only from our own effort to figure things out. It needs a revelation from above, and a well ordered soul ready to receive it. For this we must make a deliberate choice, to be willing to be taught and to believe.
For that reason the Scriptures warn us not to trust only in what our eyes see or what our own thoughts devise. Our eyes and our reason can be deceived by many things, but when the reasoning power of the soul receives the light of the divine Scriptures, it has a sure and unerring standard. And God in His wisdom has hidden these things from those who think themselves wise in themselves, and revealed them to those who remain as humble children before Him. What is needed then is not proud inquiry, but faith and humility and the continual remembrance of God in our thoughts, carrying Him always with us so that we both choose what is good and are enabled to do it.
So let us pray together.
Heavenly Father, in the name of Your Son Jesus Christ, I ask that You grant to this soul the revelation and guidance that is according to Your will. Open the eyes of the heart to understand what You would have understood, give faith where reason alone cannot reach, and make the soul humble and quiet and ready to receive what You give. Lead by the light of Your Scriptures, keep this one in remembrance of You day by day, and grant wisdom to walk in the way You show. Grant patience also to wait for Your timing, for You reveal all things for our good and in due season. I ask this in the name of Jesus, through whom alone we have access to You and salvation. Amen.
