We join you in seeking the Lord together for revelation and understanding, and we thank you for asking in the name of Jesus, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father and can receive wisdom from above.
We hear your desire for guidance right now, and we know that God delights to give wisdom to those who seek Him with a sincere heart. He does not hide Himself from His children, but He reveals Himself in His perfect timing and way. As it is written, But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach; and it will be given to him. James 1:5. We also take comfort in His promise, I will instruct you and teach you in the way which you shall go. I will counsel you with my eye on you. Psalm 32:8 and Call to me, and I will answer you, and will show you great things, and difficult, which you don't know. Jeremiah 33:3.
We want to encourage you to seek revelation first and foremost through the Word of God and the leading of the Holy Spirit, for true revelation will never contradict Scripture. The Spirit of truth guides us into all truth, as Jesus said, However when he, the Spirit of truth, has come, he will guide you into all truth John 16:13. We pray that you will continue to trust in the Lord and not lean on your own understanding, for in all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight. Proverbs 3:5-6. Sometimes God answers immediately, and sometimes He calls us to wait, to seek, to pray, and to be still so that our hearts are prepared to receive what He wants to show us.

Father in heaven, we lift up this dear one to You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. We ask that You, the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to them a spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of You, having the eyes of their heart enlightened Ephesians 1:17-18. Reveal what is needed for this specific situation according to Your will, and grant clear understanding that brings peace and not confusion. Remove any anxiety or pressure to have an answer this very moment, and help them to rest in Your perfect timing. Teach them to hear Your voice through Your Word, through prayer, and through the gentle guidance of Your Holy Spirit. Guard them from any false leading and help them test all things against Scripture, for You reveal the deep and secret things Daniel 2:22. Give them patience, discernment, and faith to follow where You lead. We ask this in the name of Jesus, our only Savior and mediator, trusting that You hear us and will answer according to Your perfect love and wisdom. Amen.

It is well that you feel your need of a guide, for that very sense of need is often a work of grace upon the heart. Naturally we do not like being guided, but the grace of God dethrones obstinacy and gives in its place a humble acquiescence in the divine will, and by bowing with submission to the will of God we are furnished with unerring guidance. He has promised, Thou shalt guide me with thy counsel, and afterward receive me to glory.
Remember that true wisdom must come to us by revelation from God, for we cannot find it by our own efforts. A grain of divine grace is worth more than a ton of knowledge, and we can only know the path of wisdom by the illumination of the divine Spirit. That blessed Spirit illuminates all souls that look to Jesus, and indeed their looking to Jesus is one effect of the divine illumination they have already received. Divine wisdom, dressed in robes of love and tenderness, invites us to run into her arms, and holiness is as near akin to perfect wisdom as sin is to insanity.
Therefore do not be hasty, for haste is the author of a great deal of mischief in human life. Wait upon the Lord, trust in Him, and seek His counsel in His Word, for in all the glory of His infinite wisdom the Lord has written to us a divine message in rugged grandeur and sublime simplicity which even a child can comprehend. The divine presence dissolves difficulties, and at the right moment He will bring forth some new and surprising stroke of wisdom, so that when He draws His servant out of deep waters the praise will more fully redound to His name. There is no attribute more comforting than divine sovereignty, to know that His hand is in everything and that He orders all for the good of those who love Him.
