Prayer Focus: God, Thank You for loving me. Thank You for loving me, Jesus. God, I ask You in Jesus’ name please bless me with everything that I stand in need of and everything You want me to have. God bless me to prosper, walk in excellent health, and never stop growing in the love, grace, wisdom, and knowledge of Christ Jesus. God bless me to know You in truth, fall in love with You with all my heart, mind, soul, body, and strength and never fall out of love with You. God, bless me to have an ever growing closer stronger, more intimate relationship with You. Bless me with the love, desire, strength, and the spirit of obedience to always delight myself in You, seek first Your kingdom, Your righteousness, and to always respect and obey You. Bless me to know You, the way You want me to know You. So that I will trust You with my life and anyway that You move in my life. Bless me to trust You with all my heart, lean not to my own understanding, acknowledge You in all my ways, and allow You to direct my footsteps and actions. Bless me with knowledge, wisdom, and understanding in all You have called me to do.

God heal me in every area of my life. Deliver and cleanse me of everything in my life that doesn't honor You. Transform and renew my mind. Bless me with love, power, and a sound mind. Let the mind that is in Christ Jesus be in me. Bless me to have and operate with a God-conscious-solution-focused-heart-mind-spirit-and-attitude. Bless me to have a God Kingdom Culture Mentality. God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul. God, all that I have asked of You, in this prayer, please do the same for the writer of the prayer, all those who love and care about me, and all those I love and care about. Your honest confession before God is precious, and God hears the humble heart that turns to Him in truth. You have said you believe that Jesus Christ the Son died and rose again on the third day, and you are asking the Father for forgiveness. That faith is the only ground of our hope, for salvation is through Jesus Christ alone, and there is no other name by which we are saved.

Scripture says if we confess our sins He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. You have confessed that you have sinned greatly by watching explicit videos and doing things that are not of God. This is right to confess, for such things are sin. They are hidden things of shame that we are called to renounce and turn from, not to continue in. God does not bless or affirm that path, but He does offer full forgiveness and cleansing when we turn from it with a sincere heart and seek to walk in purity. His compassion is greater than our asking. Like the servant who asked only for time to pay and was forgiven the whole debt, God in His mercy forgives the entire debt when we fall down before Him and pray, not because we deserve it but because He is moved with compassion.

You also carry very deep wounds. To have been molested as a child, to have seen your mother beaten, to have been beaten yourself in school and in facilities and by those who should have protected you, to have been hurt by police and left alone, these are grievous sufferings. God sees all that was done to you and He does not overlook it. Your trauma does not make sin right, but the Lord knows how deeply you have been hurt and how fear and shame have taken root. He is near to the brokenhearted and He desires to heal the emotionally damaged heart, not only to forgive the sin but to restore the soul. I urge you to bring these wounds into the light with a faithful pastor and with trusted, godly counsel in your local church, so you are not alone with them.

You speak of shame and of fear of hell and the great judgment throne. It is right to fear God and to know that all things will be accounted for, for there will be a day of judgment. That fear can lead us to run to Christ. And when we run to Him, shame is removed. The Scripture says blessed are they whose iniquities are forgiven and whose sins are covered. Where blessedness is given, shame is taken away and glory is given in its place. You do not need to remain covered with shame. In Christ, sin is covered by His blood, and you can stand before God with boldness, not because you are without sin, but because Christ bore the wrath for sinners who trust in Him.

Do not think that because you cannot forget what you have done, you cannot be forgiven. God does not forgive because we forget, He forgives because Christ died. Your part is to continue in humble confession, to turn away from pornography and every use of it, to put it out of your hands and eyes, to seek the help of the Holy Spirit each day, and to walk in the light with accountability. If you fall, confess again quickly and do not return to hiding. Renounce the hidden things of shame and do not walk in craftiness, but in honesty before God and before trusted brothers in the faith.

You ask if God will forgive you, and if people will forgive you. When we confess and forsake sin and trust in Christ, God does forgive. That is His promise. People may not always understand or forgive as God does, and some wounds from others may remain unanswered in this life, but your peace before God does not depend on the forgiveness of people. Seek reconciliation where you can, but rest first in the forgiveness that comes from the Father through the Son.

I will pray for you. Father in heaven, have mercy on this wounded soul who confesses his sin and trusts in Your Son who died and rose again. Forgive his sins according to Your great compassion, cleanse him from all unrighteousness, cover his shame with Your grace, and fill him with Your Holy Spirit. Deliver him from the bondage of explicit images and give him strength to walk in purity within Your design for marriage and for holiness. Heal his memories and his fears, cast out terror with Your love, and give him confidence before the day of judgment through Jesus Christ. Lead him to a faithful church where he can be known, helped and guarded, and keep him to the end. Amen.

Continue to seek the Lord daily in prayer and in His Word, turn from what grieves Him, and walk with those who can help you stand. God is able to keep you and to give you joy and boldness where there was once shame and fear.
