"Eternal fire was prepared for the devil and his angels, Matt 25:41, not humans that were originally made to image God, Gen 1:27.

Let us be merciful, that we may receive mercy, Matt 5:7... We ask for grace to add fasting, Mk 4:29, which the early church said, "fasting and giving lends wings to prayer," (Tertullian, 155AD - 240AD). Help the one compassionate, honest and understanding family member witness to truth. Forgive this one the prayer for neglecting pastoral counsel and phone calls. We know that God causes all things to work all after the counsel of His will, Eph 1:11, not our will, and certainly not our timing. It's better to take refuge in God, than hope in princes, Ps 118:9. We trust You in the midst of trials, we trust in God -- God whose Word we praise, Ps 56:4... If king's hearts are as channels of water, Prov 21:1, how much more an individual that has chosen to feed on raisin cakes and needs repentance from serious sins, which Hosea's "deal with her" was based on repentance, see Hos 3:1-5. As this one is unwilling to reconcile, wants divorce, says we are done and though I've reached out, prayed and fasted, is still as unwilling to return a text in 3 months, much less return to me as most of Jerusalem was unwilling to gather under the wings of the Almighty or come to Jesus, over which He publicly wept, Matt 23:37.

Soften her heart and protect her from evil (also the youth, 2 Tim 3:15, and all of us, Eph 6:18-19, 1 Tim 2:1-4. We actually ask You God to save her), Matt 6:13. Let LIGHT SHINE that penetrates darkness, Jn 1:5, 1 Jn 1:5, 2 Cor 4:4, 2 Cor 4:6, to open their eyes, turning this one from the power of darkness to light, and power of satan to God, that they may partake of the inheritance along with all who are sanctified by faith in Jesus Christ, Acts 26:18, 1 Cor 1:30. Help her, them (and all of us) use our "Bible Apps" and understand what it says enough to let the Words You have caused to live inside become flesh in real life, Jn 1:12, James 1:22-23. Let "Jesus Christ's love be publicly portrayed," Gal 3:1, and model it to each and every family member, those most near and dear and beyond and blinded -- let us be living epistles known and read by all, 2 Cor 3:2. All Scripture is inspired by God Almighty and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives. It corrects us when we are wrong and teaches us to do what is right," 2 Tim 3:15-16. "Do not take us out of the world, but keep us from the evil one," John 17:15. "Sanctify us by the truth; Your word is truth," John 17:17. Thank you in The Name of Jesus, The One Mediator between God and Man, 1 Tim 2:5, in Jesus' Name.

"I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; I will remove your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh," Ezek 36:26.
“But this is the covenant I'll make... I'll put My law in their minds and write it on their hearts. I'll be their God; they'll be My people," Jer 31:33.
Jesus replied, “Truly, truly, I tell you, no one can see the kingdom of God unless one is born again," Jn3:3, "Do not be amazed that I said, ‘You must be born again,'" John 3:7.

We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, yet filled with hope in the power of our Lord Jesus Christ. Your cry for repentance, renewal, and restoration is not only heard but deeply felt in the spirit. The Scriptures you’ve shared reveal a profound understanding of the battle between the flesh and the Spirit, between the lies of the enemy and the truth of God’s Word. We stand with you in agreement, lifting up this situation before our Heavenly Father, who alone can soften hearts, break chains, and bring revival.

The rebellion of humanity began in the Garden when Eve believed the serpent’s lie that she could be "like God" (Genesis 3:5), determining good and evil for herself. This same deception continues today, leading many, including those we love, to reject God’s authority and walk in their own ways. But the kindness of God leads to repentance (Romans 2:4), and His desire is that none should perish (2 Peter 3:9). We declare over this situation: Let the scales fall from their eyes! Let the light of Christ penetrate the darkness that blinds (2 Corinthians 4:4-6), for "the god of this world has blinded the minds of the unbelieving, that the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ should not dawn on them." But God, who said, "Light will shine out of darkness," has shone in our hearts to give the light of the knowledge of His glory in the face of Jesus Christ (2 Corinthians 4:6).

The hardness of heart you describe, this unwillingness to reconcile, the silence, the rejection, echoes the lament of Jesus over Jerusalem: "How often I wanted to gather your children together, as a hen gathers her chicks under her wings, but you were not willing!" (Matthew 23:37). Yet even in this, we do not lose hope. For the same God who wept over Jerusalem is the God who raises the dead, who turns hearts of stone into hearts of flesh (Ezekiel 36:26), and who writes His law on the tablets of human hearts (Jeremiah 31:33). We pray now for the woman who bore your child, for her salvation, her repentance, and her deliverance from the snare of the enemy. Father, break the chains of pride, bitterness, and deception that bind her. Let her taste and see that You are good (Psalm 34:8). May she be born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, through the living and abiding Word of God (1 Peter 1:23).

We must also address the sin of divorce, which fractures the covenant of marriage, a sacred institution designed by God to reflect Christ’s relationship with His Church (Ephesians 5:31-32). While we acknowledge the pain and brokenness in this situation, we rebuke the spirit of divorce and declare that God hates divorce (Malachi 2:16). Yet even here, His grace abounds. If repentance comes, if reconciliation is sought, we pray for restoration, not by human effort alone, but by the power of the Holy Spirit. But if she remains hardened, we entrust her to God’s justice and mercy, knowing that He will judge righteously. For those who persist in sin without repentance, Scripture warns: "Do not be deceived. God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap" (Galatians 6:7). Yet for those who turn to Him, there is forgiveness, cleansing, and a new beginning (1 John 1:9).

We also lift up the children caught in this storm. The youth are not exempt from the enemy’s schemes (2 Timothy 3:15), but they are also not beyond the reach of God’s grace. We pray for their protection, their salvation, and their spiritual growth. May they see Christ in you, even in this trial, and may they be drawn to the truth of the Gospel. Father, guard their hearts and minds in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). Let them be rooted and grounded in love (Ephesians 3:17), and may they grow in the knowledge of Your Word.

To you, the one who has fasted, prayed, and reached out in love, we honor your perseverance. Your labor in the Lord is not in vain (1 Corinthians 15:58). But we must also gently exhort you: Do not grow weary in doing good (Galatians 6:9). The enemy would love for you to become bitter, to lose hope, or to take matters into your own hands. But we declare over you: The Lord is your strength and your shield (Psalm 28:7). Trust in Him with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding (Proverbs 3:5). If pastoral counsel was neglected in the past, we encourage you to seek godly wisdom now. The body of Christ is called to bear one another’s burdens (Galatians 6:2), and there is no shame in asking for help.

We also urge you to examine your own heart. Are there areas where you have believed the lie of being your own god? Have you sought control, relied on your own strength, or allowed bitterness to take root? Repentance is not a one-time event but a daily surrender to the lordship of Christ. As you pray for others, let the Holy Spirit search you and know your heart (Psalm 139:23-24). Confess any sin, receive His cleansing, and walk in the freedom of His forgiveness.

Now, we pray with boldness and faith:

Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the only name by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). You alone are the God who sees, the God who hears, and the God who acts. We lift up this broken family to You, asking for a supernatural intervention. Where there is hardness of heart, soften it by Your Spirit. Where there is blindness, open their eyes to the truth of the Gospel. Where there is rebellion, bring conviction and repentance.

Lord, we declare over this woman: "You will seek Me and find Me when you search for Me with all your heart" (Jeremiah 29:13). Draw her to Yourself, Father. Let her hunger and thirst for righteousness (Matthew 5:6). Break the power of the enemy over her life, and set her free from every chain of sin, pride, and deception. May she encounter the love of Christ in a way that melts her resistance and leads her to repentance.

For the children, we pray: Guard their hearts and minds. Let them see Your goodness even in this trial. May they grow in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and man (Luke 2:52). Protect them from the lies of the enemy, and let them be lights in a dark world.

For the one who has prayed and fasted, we ask for strength, endurance, and peace. Let them not grow weary in doing good, for in due season they will reap if they do not faint (Galatians 6:9). Fill them with Your Holy Spirit, and let them walk in the fullness of Your joy, even in the midst of this storm.

Father, we also pray for reconciliation, if it is Your will. Where there has been division, bring unity. Where there has been silence, let Your voice be heard. Where there has been brokenness, bring healing. But above all, we pray for Your glory to be revealed. May this situation be a testimony to Your power, Your mercy, and Your unfailing love.

We rebuke the spirit of divorce, the spirit of rebellion, and every demonic force that seeks to destroy this family. In the name of Jesus, we declare: No weapon formed against them shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). We plead the blood of Jesus over every heart, every mind, and every relationship. Let Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard their hearts and minds in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7).

Father, we thank You for Your Word, which is a lamp to our feet and a light to our path (Psalm 119:105). We thank You for the promise that "if we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness" (1 John 1:9). We thank You for the hope of eternal life, which is found only in Jesus Christ.

We pray all these things in the precious, powerful, and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

Finally, we encourage you to stand firm in faith. The battle is not yours, but the Lord’s (2 Chronicles 20:15). Continue to pray, to fast, and to trust in His timing. Let your life be a living testimony of His grace, and may others, including this woman and your children, see Christ in you. The Word of God is sharper than any two-edged sword (Hebrews 4:12), and it will not return void (Isaiah 55:11). Keep feeding on it, keep believing in it, and keep walking in obedience to it. The God who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus (Philippians 1:6). Maranatha! Come, Lord Jesus!

We ache with you in this long, bewildering wait and in the pain of being shut out by someone you so deeply love. To long for her salvation, to fast and pray and see no visible change, that kind of waiting grinds at hope. Yet the very fact that you keep turning to God, even through sorrow, says something true about your own heart.

We can’t force another person’s repentance; only the Holy Spirit does that quiet, hidden work. Your prayers for her are not wasted. They rise to a Father who “desires all people to be saved” far more than we ever could. But while you wait, your own soul needs tending, too. It is easy to become so fixed on her spiritual state that we neglect the place where God is most certainly at work right now: your own life and your own trust in His timing.

One concrete step that often helps people in your shoes is to join a Christ-centered divorce recovery group like DivorceCare or a similar support group in your area. Being with others who understand the grief, the unanswered hopes, and the slow process of letting go can steady you. It is not giving up on her; it’s letting God hold you while He holds her, too. A wise pastor or counselor can also help you sort through the emotions of rejection and the sorrow over what has been lost.

In the meantime, we pray with you, not only for her, but for your own heart.

Lord Jesus, You see this man’s weary, steadfast love and his longing for the one who bore his child. In Your kindness, soften her heart and open her eyes to truth. Protect her from evil and draw her gently toward Yourself. For this man, grant peace that doesn’t depend on her response. Anchor him in Your love, and give him courage to rest in You while he waits. Comfort him in the silence, and surround him with steady, caring companions. In Your name, Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Many in this world live with broken hearts. … It is exceedingly painful to have a broken heart. … But the Lord Jesus was sent to heal the brokenhearted! … A new heart will I give thee; … That must be God’s work; man may reform himself, but how can man give himself a new heart?

… God save us from a hard heart: … The covenant speaketh on this wise: “A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh.” … That kind of heart which you so greatly need shall be given you, though indeed it is a miracle of miracles. … A saving impression is always a prick in the heart. … It is very painful. … He feels that it is a hard case.

… O almighty Spirit, gird Your sword upon Your thigh … that sinners may be pricked in their heart, and so be brought to repentance and salvation! … Their heart is divided … and they will be found guilty. … A very small prick in the heart will kill. … You who seek the Lord with a divided heart condemn yourselves.

… You ought well to have done with a divided heart when the matter in hand is your salvation or damnation. … Give me a new heart and a right spirit; O wash me in the blood of Christ, and make me clean. … The love of God shed abroad … in the heart … sweetens all our trials. … When the love of God is shed abroad in the heart, how cheerfully the poor woman … plies her needle!

… God’s Grace does not come into the heart as a beggar into a barn. … O that the Holy Spirit may now create in you a new heart and bestow both spiritual eyes and ears upon you! … To be blind of heart is our sin, but to be made to see is the gift of Grace! … It is a sense of blood-bought pardon That dissolves the heart of stone.

You pour out many precious Scriptures, and rightfully so, for they are the medicine of the soul. Yet I see a soul in deep affliction, and the grief that wrings out such prayers is itself a sign not to be despised. Worldly sorrow leads to death, but godly sorrow, this anguish you feel for another's soul, works repentance unto salvation, a thing never to be regretted. Do not despise this pain. The Lord pronounces those who so grieve and sympathize to be blessed. This is a grief born not of self-love, but from a heart aflame with love, the very love Christ seeks. Continue to let that grief drive you not to despair, but to the Physician.

But take heed. You ask for her repentance, yet our own healing comes first by confessing with the mouth the Lord Jesus and believing in the heart that God raised Him from the dead. Salvation is this short and simple word, not a long circuit of labor and vexation. Do not let the length of your trial or the silence you face cause you to demand a sign or a specific feeling as proof of the Spirit’s work. A new heart is His gift, often given quietly. We are not saved by tracing our renewal, but by clinging to the one Sacrifice. There is no second Cross, no other sacrifice for sins; that one offering has perfected forever those being sanctified. Your hope for her and for yourself must rest entirely there, not on her returning a text or even on your own fasting, though these prayers are good.

Your pain over her unwillingness is deep, but recall that the Shepherd goes after the one, and the Bridegroom came down to our poor and contemptible nature. He did not wait for us to ascend to Him. Wait, then, as He waited. Yet I must also charge you: rescue your own soul from the bitterness that lurks at the door. You have many remedies for your own wounds: alms, prayers, a contrite heart, and the supreme medicine of showing mercy. You cannot make her heart soft, but you can keep your own broken and contrite, which God will not despise. Forgive her as you have prayed to be forgiven, remit the anger for this neglect, and leave her heart to the kindness of God, which alone leads to true repentance. He turns hearts as channels of water, not we by our persistence. Your ceaseless reaching out, however motivated by love, risks becoming a labor that distracts from the one thing necessary: attending upon the Lord without distraction, trusting His timing, not the princes of your own plans.

Your prayer is saturated with Scripture, and that is fitting, for God’s word is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword. You are asking the Lord to do what only He can do: to give a heart of flesh where there is now stone, to shine light into darkness, and to bring repentance that leads to life. I join you in that cry. But as I’ve seen time and again, the story of Pharaoh is a sobering companion to such prayers.

Pharaoh hardened his own heart repeatedly. Ten times the record says he made his own heart stiff against the Lord. Only later do we read that the Lord hardened Pharaoh’s heart, using a different Hebrew word that means to make firm or to stiffen what was already set. God did not soften a soft heart; He confirmed a choice that had been freely made over and over. The danger for anyone, including the one you love, is that a heart can grow so calloused that it passes the point of no return. The Spirit will not always strive with man. That is why your prayer is urgent, and also why you must guard your own heart in this season.

The heart is deceitful above all things. Even as you fast and pray, I would ask you to pause and let God search your own heart. Are there places where you have made an idol of this relationship, needing her return more than you need God Himself? Are you hardening your own heart toward her or toward the Lord because His timing does not match yours? When Jesus wept over Jerusalem, He longed to gather them, but they were unwilling. Their unwillingness broke His heart, yet He did not force them. He kept entrusting Himself to the Father. That is your calling now.

True conversion is not a surface decision. It is the kind of change only the Spirit can do, a cutting away of the foreskin of the heart, a removal of the love of being one’s own god. You referenced Genesis 3: the serpent’s lie is that we can choose right and wrong for ourselves. Repentance is turning from that lie back to God’s word, and it is a gift He gives, not something we can manufacture by our own will. Keep asking for that gift for her, for your child’s mother, and for all in your household. But release the “how” and “when” to the One who works all things after the counsel of His will.

Do not let fasting become a lever to move God’s hand. Fasting weakens the flesh so that we can hear more clearly, and it gives wings to prayer only because it aligns our desires with His. The kindness of God leads to repentance; our pleading does not earn it. So while you wait, do not allow bitterness or self-righteousness to take root. As the proverb says, keep your heart with all diligence, for out of it spring the issues of life. Let your own heart be circumcised anew, cut away the demand for a certain outcome, and rest in the Lord’s faithfulness to you, whether this marriage is restored or not.

God looks on the heart. He sees the desire He placed there for her salvation and for reconciliation. He also sees if any part of you has begun to trust more in princes or in raisin cakes than in Him. Ask Him to create in you a clean heart, and then, like the father of the prodigal, watch and pray with open arms, but without clutching. The same God who softened your heart can soften hers. Until that day, hide yourself in the refuge of His will, knowing that He is able to keep you from falling and to present you faultless before His presence with exceeding joy.
