We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, yet filled with hope in the power of our Lord Jesus Christ. Your cry for repentance, renewal, and restoration is not only heard but deeply felt in the spirit. The Scriptures you’ve shared reveal a profound understanding of the battle between the flesh and the Spirit, between the lies of the enemy and the truth of God’s Word. We stand with you in agreement, lifting up this situation before our Heavenly Father, who alone can soften hearts, break chains, and bring revival.
The rebellion of humanity began in the Garden when Eve believed the serpent’s lie that she could be "like God" (Genesis 3:5), determining good and evil for herself. This same deception continues today, leading many, including those we love, to reject God’s authority and walk in their own ways. But the kindness of God leads to repentance (Romans 2:4), and His desire is that none should perish (2 Peter 3:9). We declare over this situation: Let the scales fall from their eyes! Let the light of Christ penetrate the darkness that blinds (2 Corinthians 4:4-6), for "the god of this world has blinded the minds of the unbelieving, that the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ should not dawn on them." But God, who said, "Light will shine out of darkness," has shone in our hearts to give the light of the knowledge of His glory in the face of Jesus Christ (2 Corinthians 4:6).
The hardness of heart you describe, this unwillingness to reconcile, the silence, the rejection, echoes the lament of Jesus over Jerusalem: "How often I wanted to gather your children together, as a hen gathers her chicks under her wings, but you were not willing!" (Matthew 23:37). Yet even in this, we do not lose hope. For the same God who wept over Jerusalem is the God who raises the dead, who turns hearts of stone into hearts of flesh (Ezekiel 36:26), and who writes His law on the tablets of human hearts (Jeremiah 31:33). We pray now for the woman who bore your child, for her salvation, her repentance, and her deliverance from the snare of the enemy. Father, break the chains of pride, bitterness, and deception that bind her. Let her taste and see that You are good (Psalm 34:8). May she be born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, through the living and abiding Word of God (1 Peter 1:23).
We must also address the sin of divorce, which fractures the covenant of marriage, a sacred institution designed by God to reflect Christ’s relationship with His Church (Ephesians 5:31-32). While we acknowledge the pain and brokenness in this situation, we rebuke the spirit of divorce and declare that God hates divorce (Malachi 2:16). Yet even here, His grace abounds. If repentance comes, if reconciliation is sought, we pray for restoration, not by human effort alone, but by the power of the Holy Spirit. But if she remains hardened, we entrust her to God’s justice and mercy, knowing that He will judge righteously. For those who persist in sin without repentance, Scripture warns: "Do not be deceived. God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap" (Galatians 6:7). Yet for those who turn to Him, there is forgiveness, cleansing, and a new beginning (1 John 1:9).
We also lift up the children caught in this storm. The youth are not exempt from the enemy’s schemes (2 Timothy 3:15), but they are also not beyond the reach of God’s grace. We pray for their protection, their salvation, and their spiritual growth. May they see Christ in you, even in this trial, and may they be drawn to the truth of the Gospel. Father, guard their hearts and minds in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). Let them be rooted and grounded in love (Ephesians 3:17), and may they grow in the knowledge of Your Word.
To you, the one who has fasted, prayed, and reached out in love, we honor your perseverance. Your labor in the Lord is not in vain (1 Corinthians 15:58). But we must also gently exhort you: Do not grow weary in doing good (Galatians 6:9). The enemy would love for you to become bitter, to lose hope, or to take matters into your own hands. But we declare over you: The Lord is your strength and your shield (Psalm 28:7). Trust in Him with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding (Proverbs 3:5). If pastoral counsel was neglected in the past, we encourage you to seek godly wisdom now. The body of Christ is called to bear one another’s burdens (Galatians 6:2), and there is no shame in asking for help.
We also urge you to examine your own heart. Are there areas where you have believed the lie of being your own god? Have you sought control, relied on your own strength, or allowed bitterness to take root? Repentance is not a one-time event but a daily surrender to the lordship of Christ. As you pray for others, let the Holy Spirit search you and know your heart (Psalm 139:23-24). Confess any sin, receive His cleansing, and walk in the freedom of His forgiveness.
Now, we pray with boldness and faith:
Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the only name by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). You alone are the God who sees, the God who hears, and the God who acts. We lift up this broken family to You, asking for a supernatural intervention. Where there is hardness of heart, soften it by Your Spirit. Where there is blindness, open their eyes to the truth of the Gospel. Where there is rebellion, bring conviction and repentance.
Lord, we declare over this woman: "You will seek Me and find Me when you search for Me with all your heart" (Jeremiah 29:13). Draw her to Yourself, Father. Let her hunger and thirst for righteousness (Matthew 5:6). Break the power of the enemy over her life, and set her free from every chain of sin, pride, and deception. May she encounter the love of Christ in a way that melts her resistance and leads her to repentance.
For the children, we pray: Guard their hearts and minds. Let them see Your goodness even in this trial. May they grow in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and man (Luke 2:52). Protect them from the lies of the enemy, and let them be lights in a dark world.
For the one who has prayed and fasted, we ask for strength, endurance, and peace. Let them not grow weary in doing good, for in due season they will reap if they do not faint (Galatians 6:9). Fill them with Your Holy Spirit, and let them walk in the fullness of Your joy, even in the midst of this storm.
Father, we also pray for reconciliation, if it is Your will. Where there has been division, bring unity. Where there has been silence, let Your voice be heard. Where there has been brokenness, bring healing. But above all, we pray for Your glory to be revealed. May this situation be a testimony to Your power, Your mercy, and Your unfailing love.
We rebuke the spirit of divorce, the spirit of rebellion, and every demonic force that seeks to destroy this family. In the name of Jesus, we declare: No weapon formed against them shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). We plead the blood of Jesus over every heart, every mind, and every relationship. Let Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard their hearts and minds in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7).
Father, we thank You for Your Word, which is a lamp to our feet and a light to our path (Psalm 119:105). We thank You for the promise that "if we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness" (1 John 1:9). We thank You for the hope of eternal life, which is found only in Jesus Christ.
We pray all these things in the precious, powerful, and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
Finally, we encourage you to stand firm in faith. The battle is not yours, but the Lord’s (2 Chronicles 20:15). Continue to pray, to fast, and to trust in His timing. Let your life be a living testimony of His grace, and may others, including this woman and your children, see Christ in you. The Word of God is sharper than any two-edged sword (Hebrews 4:12), and it will not return void (Isaiah 55:11). Keep feeding on it, keep believing in it, and keep walking in obedience to it. The God who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus (Philippians 1:6). Maranatha! Come, Lord Jesus!
