Renewed strength

We join with you in prayer for renewed strength and resilience as you walk through the deep wounds of abuse and trauma, and we thank you for inviting us to bring this before the Lord in Jesus' name.

We want you to know that God sees what you have endured, He does not take abuse lightly, and He is near to you in this pain. His heart is to heal and restore, not to overlook what has happened. Psalm 34:18 says Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit. And Psalm 147:3 reminds us He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds. Your struggle is not hidden from Him, and your need for strength is not a sign of failure but an invitation for His power to rest upon you.

The Lord promises to exchange our weakness for His strength when we wait on Him. Isaiah 40:29 says He gives power to the faint; and to him who has no might he increases strength. And Isaiah 40:31 says But those who wait for Yahweh will renew their strength. They will mount up with wings like eagles. They will run, and not be weary. They will walk, and not faint. We cling to Isaiah 41:10 with you, Don't you be afraid, for I am with you. Don't be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness. His strength is made perfect even when we feel most fragile, for 2 Corinthians 12:9 says My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.

We also encourage you to continue casting every burden on Him, for 1 Peter 5:7 says casting all your worries on him, because he cares for you. Renewed resilience does not come from trying harder in our own strength, but from abiding in Christ who strengthens us, as Philippians 4:13 says I can do all things through Christ, who strengthens me. We encourage you to stay rooted in His Word, in prayer, and in safe, godly community where you can be supported and protected. If you are still in an unsafe situation or facing ongoing harm, we encourage you to seek help from trusted, godly counsel and safe support people who can walk with you toward healing and protection, for God desires you to be safe and whole.

We pray together for you now.

Father, in the name of Jesus Christ we lift up this dear one to Your throne of grace. You know the depth of the trauma and the ongoing struggles that feel so heavy. We ask You to pour out Your renewed strength upon them today. Uphold them with Your righteous right hand when they feel faint, and be their refuge and fortress. Heal the broken places in their heart and bind up every wound left by abuse. Replace fear and exhaustion with Your perfect peace and resilience that comes from Your Spirit. Help them to wait on You daily and to mount up with wings like eagles, to run and not be weary, to walk and not faint. Surround them with Your protection, with wise and compassionate people who will support them, and lead them step by step into wholeness and restoration. Let them know deeply how much You love them and that Your grace is sufficient for each moment. We trust You to complete the healing work You have begun. In Jesus' name we pray, amen.

We are grateful you shared this honest request with us. Carrying the weight of past abuse while trying to face each new day takes real courage, and it makes sense that you would feel worn down and in need of renewed strength.

We see resilience not as something you have to manufacture on your own, but as a slow process that grows over time, often through small daily choices and through steady, caring relationships. Many who have walked through trauma find it helps to have at least one safe person who can listen without rushing or judging, someone who reminds you of your God given worth when old feelings of powerlessness surface.

If you do not already have that support, one gentle step could be to reach out to a trusted pastor, counselor, or a small support group in your community who understands trauma and can walk with you consistently. You do not have to sort through everything at once, just one conversation at a time at a pace that feels safe. If you are ever in immediate danger, please reach out right away to local help and safe people around you.

We are praying for you now.

Father, we lift our friend to You and ask for Your nearness and restoring strength today. Guard their heart, bring safe and kind support around them, and guide their steps toward healing and resilience. Give wisdom for each decision and peace for each night and day. In Jesus name we pray, amen.

Lord Jesus please richly bless, protect, deliver, heal, save (those not saved) and guide them. Please help them in accordance with your perfect will Father. I ask this for them, us and all in need. Thank you and praise you. In your holy name I pray. Amen.

Your cry for renewed strength and resilience amid the deep wounds of abuse and trauma has been heard, and it is brought before the Lord who does not despise a broken heart.

Human strength, even at its best, will spend itself in due time. It is derived strength and therefore measurable, and apart from God it must come to an end. Many who have suffered as you have suffered find that their own might is gone, and the spirit is faint. But the promise stands, They that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength. To those who have no might He increases strength. When there remains no strength in you, nor any ability of any kind, then is the time to fling yourself upon the Divine strength and lay hold upon it. The glory of our strength lies not in ourselves, not in our resolve or resilience, but in God alone, whose Omnipotence is inexhaustible.

Christ is the great Physician for such wounds. He heals the broken in heart and binds up their wounds. There is an abundance of healing power in Jesus Christ, and not only is His fruit sweet and nourishing, but the very leaves of the tree are for the healing of the nations. The least thing about Christ is healing. His leaves change the lifeblood and make the nature other than it was before. When your own strength fails you, your strength shall be to sit still while God arises and becomes your arm every morning, your salvation in the time of trouble. When we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly, and He now says, I will strengthen them in the Lord.

Therefore wait upon the Lord. Waiting is not idleness, but faith looking to Him, prayer calling upon Him, hope expecting from Him. Come again to His Word where faith comes by hearing, and to prayer where strength is given. Turn over a new leaf by tasting the leaves of that healing tree, that you may revive out of decline. It is not to your credit to remain weak when God would make you strong, for the glory of a Christian is his spiritual strength in the Lord.

Let us pray for you now.

O Lord God, who increases strength to them that have no might, look upon this wounded one who has endured abuse and trauma and now seeks renewed strength in Jesus name. Forgive, heal, and restore. Spread the healing leaves of Christ over this broken heart, renew the mind, calm the troubled spirit, and breathe life where there has been death. Teach this dear soul to wait upon You, to sit still under Your wing until You arise with healing. Strengthen with strength in the Lord, that there may be a faithful performance of Your promise, I will strengthen them. Let Your strength be made perfect in weakness, and let the glory of all renewed resilience be Yours alone. Keep and sustain day by day, and bring at last into perfect wholeness through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
