Renewed strength

We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up this precious soul who is enduring the deep wounds of abuse and trauma. The pain you carry is real, and the journey toward healing is not easy, but you are not alone. The Lord sees your tears, hears your cries, and holds you in His mighty hands. We stand with you in prayer, asking for renewed strength and resilience as you walk this difficult path.

The Scriptures remind us in Isaiah 41:10, "Don’t you be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness." The Lord is your refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). Though the memories and pain may feel overwhelming, He promises to sustain you and restore what has been broken.

We also declare over you the truth of Psalm 34:18-19: "The Lord is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit. Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but the Lord delivers him out of them all." Your suffering does not go unnoticed by God. He is close to you, and He will bring deliverance in His perfect timing.

Father God, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, the One who bore our sorrows and carried our griefs. We ask for a fresh outpouring of Your Holy Spirit upon this dear one, that they may experience Your healing touch. Strengthen their mind, body, and spirit. Replace fear with faith, despair with hope, and brokenness with wholeness. Surround them with Your love and protection, shielding them from the lies of the enemy that seek to keep them bound in shame and pain.

Lord, we rebuke every spirit of oppression, fear, and trauma that has taken root in their life. We command these chains to break in the name of Jesus! Fill them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding, and let Your light shine into the darkest places of their heart. Restore their joy, renew their strength, and remind them daily that they are fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14).

We pray for godly counsel and support, people who will speak life, encouragement, and truth into their situation. May they find safety in Your presence and in the community of believers who can walk alongside them. Give them the courage to seek help when needed and the wisdom to set boundaries that protect their heart and mind.

Above all, Lord, draw them closer to You. Let this season of struggle become a testimony of Your faithfulness and power. May they rise up, not in their own strength, but in the strength that comes from You alone. We declare that their latter days will be greater than their former, and that their story will bring glory to Your name.

In Jesus’ precious name, we pray. Amen.

We know that living with the aftershocks of abuse and trauma can feel like a long, exhausting climb, and the fact that you’re asking God for renewed strength and resilience even now tells us a great deal about the courage already at work in you. Resilience isn’t something you either have or don’t have; it grows little by little in the very places where you keep showing up, keep reaching out, keep whispering “Jesus, help me.” We want you to know we are standing with you in that weary breathing space, not trying to fix you but just staying close.

Part of what makes this road so hard is the aloneness that trauma often plants deep inside. That’s why we’d gently encourage you, if you haven’t already, to let a safe, spiritually mature person walk beside you, maybe a pastor, a compassionate Christian counselor, or a small prayer group that knows how to listen without quick fixes. Even a brief check-in where someone simply prays with you can gently loosen what feels cemented. Also, try setting aside some quiet moments simply to invite the Holy Spirit to be with you in the painful memories, not to stir them up but to bring His quiet presence and comfort right there in that numb or raw place.

Lord Jesus, we come to you now for this precious survivor. You see the weariness they carry, the daily weight of old wounds. Pour Your strength into their heart, the kind that stays when everything else feels empty. Let resilience take root in the small, daily acts of just keeping on. Surround them with Your people who will be Your hands and Your voice, and give them moments of solid peace that don’t depend on circumstances. In Your name, Amen.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

The promise stands fast, “They that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength.” Notice well, it is not they that struggle in their own might, nor they that merely wish for better days, but they that wait, that hang upon the arm of the Almighty, that cast their nothingness upon His omnipotence. When the soul has come to the end of all its own resources, then does divine strength flow in. In these wounds left by abuse and trauma, you have learned what it is to be emptied of self; now learn what it is to be filled with Christ. He giveth power to the faint, and to them that have no might He increaseth strength.

Do not be astonished that you need continual renewal. The eagle’s youth is renewed as the season returns, and so must your spirit receive fresh grace day by day. The outer man may feel the decay of sorrow, but the inward man is renewed by the breath of the Spirit. Up there in the clear azure, away from the smoky atmosphere of this fallen world, the eagle breathes pure air and recovers his vigor. So must you breathe the atmosphere of the throne-room, by prayer and meditation upon the Word, and you shall mount up with wings as eagles. The strength you need is not a reservoir stored up once and forgotten, but a daily supply, as your days, so shall your strength be. For the day of little service, little strength; for the day of heavy trial, Samson’s strength. God measures out exactly what the conflict demands.

Remember, too, that the joy of the Lord is your strength. This is not a joy drawn from your circumstances, for they may be bitter, but a holy joy springing from a sight of Christ crucified and risen on your behalf. When you are overwhelmed with a sense of your own weakness, then stop a moment and breathe a prayer for more faith. Faith is the channel by which strength flows. “Without strength” is your condition by nature, but in due time Christ died for the ungodly; lay hold on that. The glory of your strength must never lie in any supposed healing of your own making, but in God alone. Give to Him all that remains of your broken heart, and when He renews you, go forth to smite the Philistines, not shaking yourself as though the strength were your own, but leaning wholly upon the Beloved.

Let your prayer be not only for strength, but for life from the dead, for that overflowing, resurrection life of Jesus that triumphs over every deep scar. The God of hope will fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that you may abound in hope through the power of the Holy Ghost. Wait, I say, on the Lord; submit yourself completely, trust entirely, and you shall renew your strength.
