Relentless prayer for an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness.

Kensem

Beloved of All
Heavenly Father, we come to you in Jesus name

It is written, 'The truth shall set you free.'
Lord Jesus, we pray that you save the team at ###, their lawyers and legal representatives, who are bound by Satan's lies.
We ask your precious blood over those who are chosen and Christians. May you cover them and give them peace and understanding.
May you teach them to be righteous and compassionate.
As we can see, even those who are lawyers and studied law can engage themselves in horrible sins.
Lord, I pray you forgive their sins and let them not do anything that is evil in your eyes.
Lord, we do not wish to boast before You, nor do we wish to look down on lawyers who fall short of Your glory.
However, we humbly acknowledge that we cannot always expect the educated to act righteously.
Lord it is written in Psalms 51,
16For You do not delight in sacrifice, or else I would give it;
You are not pleased with burnt offering. [1 Sam 15:22]
17My sacrifice acceptable to God is a broken spirit;
A broken and contrite heart such, O God, You will not despise.
Lord, I pray in Jesus name that you work on their hearts so that they can recognise their sins and hate their sins enough so that they don't continue to live a sinful life.
Lord it grieves my heart how these people are disregarding human life and honest communication.
Stir their hearts, Lord, and give them an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness.
We thank Your Holiness and Your Holy Spirit who is interceding for us and them all the time.
We exalt your name on high, Jesus Christ.
Let your will be done, Heavenly Father, amen

We join you in this relentless prayer for an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness, and we agree with you before the Father in Jesus' name.

Your heart to see those who are bound by lies set free is pleasing to the Lord, for it is written, You will know the truth, and the truth will make you free. John 8:32. And Jesus Himself said, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. John 14:6. There is no true thirst for righteousness apart from Him, and we praise God that you have come through the only name by which we have access to the Father and by which we are saved.

We stand with you in praying for the team at the organization you mentioned, together with their lawyers and legal representatives. We pray that the Lord would open eyes that have been blinded, for the god of this world has blinded the minds of the unbelieving, that the light of the Good News of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God, should not dawn on them. 2 Cor 4:4. We ask the Father to have mercy and to grant repentance and salvation to those who do not yet know Him, and to cover and strengthen those who are already His own with His peace that surpasses understanding.

You are right to humble yourselves and not boast, for we all have fallen short. For all have sinned, and fall short of the glory of God. Rom 3:23. Education and knowledge of the law cannot make a heart righteous, for the Lord does not look at outward learning but at the heart. As you quoted, The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit. A broken and contrite heart, O God, you will not despise. Psalm 51:17. We pray with you that God would give them a new heart and put a new spirit within them, taking away the stony heart and giving a heart of flesh. Ezek 36:26.

It grieves us also when human life is disregarded and honest communication is abandoned, but we take comfort that God is not pleased with mere outward sacrifice but desires truth in the inward parts. Psalm 51:6. He sees all evil and will judge righteously, yet He is also rich in mercy. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 1 John 1:9. So we pray that their hearts would be stirred to hate sin and to turn from it, not to continue in it.

We pray together now.

Heavenly Father, we come before Your throne in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. We lift up this team, their lawyers and legal representatives to You. Lord, where there are lies, bring Your truth. Where there is hardness, bring brokenness. Where there is unrighteousness, create an unquenchable hunger and thirst for righteousness, for You have promised, Blessed are those who hunger and thirst after righteousness, for they shall be filled. Matt 5:6. Let them not be satisfied with deception or with winning by dishonest means, but let them thirst for what is right in Your eyes. Cover Your chosen ones with the precious blood of Jesus, grant them peace and understanding, and teach them to be righteous and compassionate as You are compassionate. Forgive sins, Lord, and by Your Holy Spirit who intercedes for us according to Your will, Rom 8:26, work deeply in every heart that they may recognize sin, confess it, and walk in newness of life. Let Your will be done and Your name be exalted. In Jesus' name we pray, amen.

We encourage you to continue steadfast in prayer, for the effective, earnest prayer of a righteous man is powerfully effective. James 5:16. Keep thirsting for truth and righteousness yourself, and trust that God who desires all people to be saved and come to full knowledge of the truth, 1 Tim 2:4, hears your intercession and is able to change even the hardest heart.

We hear how deeply this has weighed on you, watching people use their knowledge and influence in ways that feel dishonest and careless with human life. It makes sense that you would grieve that, and that you would keep bringing it to the Lord as you have.

Your hunger for truth and righteousness to prevail is a good and Christlike hunger, and the way you are praying, asking God to soften hearts rather than just to win an argument, reflects real grace. We join you in that.

One thing we have found helpful when praying for those who have done wrong is remembering that forgiveness and trust are not the same. We can decide before God to release the desire for payback and to want their good, which is a matter of the will, while the deeper emotions of hurt and anger often take longer to quiet. That slower emotional healing does not mean you have failed to forgive, it just means your heart is still processing the injustice gap between what happened and what should have happened. Giving both parts time and bringing them honestly to God can keep bitterness from taking root while you continue to pray for their transformation.

We will keep praying with you, and we are grateful you are leaning on the Holy Spirit to intercede when words are hard to find.

Father, we bring these lawyers and all involved to You and ask You to work in their hearts, to lead them toward truth, compassion and respect for life. Cover Your people with Your peace and guard them with wisdom, and form in all of us that unquenchable thirst for what is right. In Jesus' name, amen.

We join you in this burden and count it a right and needful prayer that you have brought before the Lord. To thirst for truth and righteousness is itself a mark of grace, for the natural heart thirsts for its own way, but the renewed heart cries, as you have, for that which is holy and true. Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness, for they shall be filled, and that filling is found only in Christ.

Your appeal upon Psalm 51 is well placed, for the sacrifices of God are a broken spirit, a broken and a contrite heart, O God, thou wilt not despise. This is not a contrition worked up by fear of judgment alone. Judgment may produce a carnal repentance, a repentance that is of the flesh, which turns from sin for a time and then returns to it with greater gusto. True repentance is of another sort. It is holy and heavenly, worked in the renewed heart by the Holy Spirit. It hates sin as sin, because there is a deadly poison in its sweetness, and therefore loathes it and leaves it with purpose of heart. It gives God glory, it looks to Jesus who was pierced for men and set forth to be a propitiation for sin, and it leaps for joy at the thought that pardon is freely given through His precious blood.

You do well to pray for those who are learned in the law and yet may act unrighteously, for education cannot make the heart righteous. The demand for a change of heart is absolutely necessary, and no man can draw up repentance from the depths of his own heart as water from a well. Repentance is the gift of Christ, who lives to make intercession for transgressors and to give sinners the Holy Spirit to work in them true belief and true repentance. We will pray with you that the Lord will work this true repentance in the team at that place and in their lawyers and representatives, that He would open their eyes to see sin as God sees it, grant them broken and contrite hearts, and bring them to honest confession and faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, through whom alone is salvation and by whose blood alone is peace and forgiveness.

We also pray for those who are chosen in Christ, that the Lord would cover them, keep them, and give them peace and understanding, and teach them to walk in righteousness and compassion. He preserves the faithful, and He shall strengthen the heart of all that hope in Him. May He strengthen your own heart as you wait upon Him, and keep you looking unto Jesus, for to look to Him is to find both repentance and remission of sins.

We will continue in relentless prayer with you, that the Lord would stir hearts, implant an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness, and cause His will to be done, to the glory of His holy name. Let us ask that this thirst may not be a fleeting resolve but a practical and lasting work, yielding works meet for repentance, and rooted in love for Him who died that we might live unto righteousness.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Your prayer for an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness is pleasing to God, and we join you in lifting it to the Father in the name of Jesus Christ, through whom alone salvation comes.

You have prayed well, for the Lord Himself cried out, If any man thirst, let him come unto Me and drink. He does not draw us by necessity and constraint, but calls those who are inflamed with desire. Those who come to the divine preaching must manifest the desire of thirsty men for water and kindle in themselves a similar longing. So it is written, Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness, for they shall be filled. This is the thirst you have asked for, not a thirst that is satisfied with the water of this world which leaves a man thirsty again, but the living water which Christ gives, which becomes in him a well springing up into everlasting life, from which rivers of living water flow.

You also prayed rightly from Psalm 51 that God desires not outward sacrifice alone but a broken and contrite heart, which He will not despise. Such a heart does not rise up or strike back, it is ready to be corrected and does not seek vengeance, but is quiet under reproof and hates its own sin. This is God's gift to give, a sober and self possessed heart full of repentance and compunction, and we ask Him to grant it to those lawyers and representatives you have named, and to all who are chosen in Christ. May He cover those who are His with the precious blood of Jesus and give them peace and understanding, and may He open the eyes of those still bound by lies so that they recognize their sins, turn from what is evil in His sight, and put on the breastplate of righteousness. By righteousness here is meant a life of universal virtue, firm and impenetrable, which no wound from the enemy can cut through.

We pray therefore that the Holy Spirit will stir their hearts, that they will no longer disregard human life and honest communication, but will hunger and thirst for what is true and holy, for the righteousness and holiness which are of the truth, created anew in Christ. May they be led to confess with the mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in the heart that God raised Him from the dead, for that short word carries both salvation and righteousness. And may you continue steadfast in prayer, in almsgiving, in humility and thanksgiving, cleansing your own wounds by mercy and sincere prayer, trusting that God has marked out innumerable ways of salvation for those who are willing to attend to Him.

We commit this whole matter to the grace and love of our Lord Jesus Christ, asking that His will be done and that all may come to know the truth that sets free, to His glory forever. Amen.
