Heavenly Father, we come to you in Jesus name

It is written, 'The truth shall set you free.'
Lord Jesus, we pray that you save the team at ###, their lawyers and legal representatives, who are bound by Satan's lies.
We ask your precious blood over those who are chosen and Christians. May you cover them and give them peace and understanding.
May you teach them to be righteous and compassionate.
As we can see, even those who are lawyers and studied law can engage themselves in horrible sins.
Lord, I pray you forgive their sins and let them not do anything that is evil in your eyes.
Lord, we do not wish to boast before You, nor do we wish to look down on lawyers who fall short of Your glory.
However, we humbly acknowledge that we cannot always expect the educated to act righteously.
Lord it is written in Psalms 51,
16For You do not delight in sacrifice, or else I would give it;
You are not pleased with burnt offering. [1 Sam 15:22]
17My sacrifice acceptable to God is a broken spirit;
A broken and contrite heart such, O God, You will not despise.
Lord, I pray in Jesus name that you work on their hearts so that they can recognise their sins and hate their sins enough so that they don't continue to live a sinful life.
Lord it grieves my heart how these people are disregarding human life and honest communication.
Stir their hearts, Lord, and give them an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness.
We thank Your Holiness and Your Holy Spirit who is interceding for us and them all the time.
We exalt your name on high, Jesus Christ.
Let your will be done, Heavenly Father, amen

We join you in this relentless prayer for an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness and we commend your humble and broken heart before the Lord.

Your burden reflects the heart of God who desires truth in the inward parts and righteousness to flow like a river. It is true as you quoted that you will know the truth, and the truth will make you free, John 8:32, and Jesus Himself said Blessed are those who hunger and thirst after righteousness, for they shall be filled, Matthew 5:6. We also agree that education and position do not make a person righteous, for all have sinned, and fall short of the glory of God, Romans 3:23, and the god of this world has blinded the minds of the unbelieving, that the light of the Good News of the glory of Christ should not dawn on them, 2 Corinthians 4:4. Only God can change a heart of stone to a heart of flesh.

We are encouraged that you prayed in the name of Jesus Christ, for there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved and no other way to the Father, as Jesus said I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me, John 14:6. We also love your citation of Psalm 51:17 that My sacrifice acceptable to God is a broken spirit. A broken and contrite heart, God, you will not despise. That is the very heart God is looking for and we pray He creates it in those you are lifting up.

Heavenly Father, we come before Your throne of grace in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. We lift up the team and organization you have placed on our brother or sister's heart, together with their lawyers and legal representatives. Lord, we ask that You pierce through the lies of the enemy that have bound them and shine the light of Your truth upon them. Give them an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness that cannot be satisfied by argument or worldly wisdom. We ask that You cover those who are Yours, who are chosen and walking with Christ, with the precious blood of Jesus, granting them peace that surpasses all understanding and wisdom beyond their own, Philippians 4:7. Father, we pray You would give all involved a new heart and put a new spirit within them, as You promised I will give you a new heart, and I will put a new spirit within you, Ezekiel 36:26. Teach them to be righteous and compassionate, to love mercy and to walk humbly with You, Micah 6:8, and to hate what is evil and cling to what is good, Romans 12:9. Forgive their sins as they repent and turn from what is evil in Your sight, for You do not delight in outward sacrifice but in a broken and contrite heart. Stir them to regard human life as made in Your image, Genesis 1:27, and to speak honestly, putting away falsehood and speaking truth each one with his neighbor, Ephesians 4:25. Let Your will be done and let Your Holy Spirit continue to intercede for us all. We exalt the name of Jesus Christ and ask that none would perish but that all would come to repentance, 2 Peter 3:9, for You desire all people to be saved and come to full knowledge of the truth, 1 Timothy 2:4. In Jesus name we pray, amen.

We encourage you to remain steadfast in this intercession. The Lord hears the relentless prayers of the righteous and He is not slow concerning His promise. Do not grow weary in doing good, for in due season you will reap if you do not give up, Galatians 6:9. Continue to pray that God would grant them repentance leading to the knowledge of the truth, 2 Timothy 2:25, and trust that He who began a good work will be faithful to complete it.

We appreciate the humility and burden you bring here. You are not asking from a place of superiority but from grief over dishonesty and disregard for life, and from a real desire to see people come to love what is true and right. That kind of intercession is heavy to carry.

When we see wrong that goes unaddressed, it is natural to feel stuck between how things are and how we long for them to be. That tension can easily turn into rumination that wears us down. One thing that has helped others is learning to separate a clear decision to release any claim to revenge or personal payback, which we can make before our feelings catch up, from the slower work of the heart where bitterness is gradually replaced by compassion. The first is a matter of will and obedience, the second takes time and often comes as we keep handing the matter back to God rather than rehearsing it.

It may help to give this burden a contained place, a few minutes each day where you bring these lawyers and officials by name before the Lord and then consciously leave them with Him, instead of carrying the grief through the whole day.

Father, we lift these men and women to You and ask You to work in their hearts, to give them a true thirst for truth and righteousness and a willingness to turn from what is evil in Your sight. Cover those who are Yours with Your peace and understanding, and guard our friend here from bitterness as he waits on You. Do Your will in this situation, we pray in Jesus' name, amen.

Your prayer for an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness is heard and it is a right and holy desire, for our Lord Himself has said, Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness, for they shall be filled.

You have well quoted that word, The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit, a broken and a contrite heart, O God, thou wilt not despise. This is the true mark of the work of grace. There is a repentance that is of the flesh, a carnal repentance that may be produced by fear of judgment or by shame, and it is short lived. Men may turn from sin for a time as a man may abstain from food to increase his appetite, and then return to it with greater gusto. But the repentance which is wrought in the renewed heart by the Holy Spirit is of another sort. It hates sin as sin, because it has found a deadly poison in its sweetness, and therefore loathes it and leaves it with purpose of heart. It gives God glory. It does not boast, it does not look down upon others, but it bows before the cross and says, Did my Saviour bleed and did my Sovereign die for me.

You pray rightly that the Lord would work upon their hearts, for repentance is not to be drawn up from the depths of our own nature as water from a well, but is the gift of God through Jesus Christ. Repentance and remission of sins are to be preached in His name, and faith and repentance are inseparable. Any repentance that keeps a soul from believing in Christ needs itself to be repented of. True repentance looks to Jesus, to Him who was pierced for men and who now lives to make intercession for transgressors, to give to sinners the Holy Spirit to work in them true belief and true repentance. When the soul sees Christ evidently crucified and trusts in His precious blood as the propitiation for sin, then pardon and peace flow in.

We join with you then in praying to our Heavenly Father in the name of Jesus Christ, through whom alone is salvation, that He would be pleased to grant to those of whom you speak, and to all who are yet bound by the lies of the enemy, that broken and contrite heart which He will not despise. May He convince them of sin, cause them to hate sin and to turn from it, not in mere outward reform but in a practical and lasting change, with works meet for repentance. May He cover those who are His own with the blood of Christ and keep them in peace and understanding, and teach all to walk in righteousness and compassion, with honest lips and reverence for human life which is made in His image. And may He stir in every heart, yours and theirs, that thirst which only Christ can satisfy, a thirst for His truth and His righteousness, that we may seek first His kingdom.

Be of good courage and continue in prayer, looking ever to Jesus. He is near to them that are of a broken heart and saves such as be of a contrite spirit, and for such He suffered upon Calvary. May the Lord answer according to His perfect will, for His glory, amen.
