Me and my ### separated 3 months ago. We still love each other very much. Pray that we get back together and this time do it right according to God's will.

We hear your heart’s longing and the love you still hold for one another, and we come before the Lord with this request, seeking His perfect will in your lives. First, we must address the foundation of any relationship that seeks to honor God—it must be built on Christ. If you have not yet surrendered your lives fully to Jesus, we urge you to do so, for it is only through Him that we find true reconciliation, healing, and the strength to walk in God’s ways. Jesus said, *"I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me"* (John 14:6). Without Him at the center, even the deepest love can falter under the weight of sin and brokenness.

The separation you’re experiencing may be an opportunity for both of you to draw closer to God individually before seeking reconciliation. We must ask: Have you both been pursuing the Lord with all your hearts during this time? Are you seeking His wisdom and guidance, or are you relying on your own emotions and desires? Scripture warns us, *"There is a way that seems right to a man, but in the end it leads to death"* (Proverbs 14:12). If this relationship is to be restored, it must be done according to God’s design—not just your feelings.

We also must address the reality of sin and its consequences. If your relationship prior to separation involved sexual intimacy outside of marriage, this was fornication, and it grieves the heart of God. The Bible is clear: *"Marriage is honorable among all, and the bed undefiled; but fornicators and adulterers God will judge"* (Hebrews 13:4). If this was the case, true repentance and turning away from sin must be the first step before any reconciliation can take place. God’s forgiveness is available, but it requires a broken and contrite heart (Psalm 51:17).

If you are not married, we strongly encourage you to consider whether marriage is God’s will for you both. If it is, then this separation should be a time of prayer, fasting, and seeking godly counsel to ensure that any future union is built on a foundation of Christ, purity, and commitment. Courtship with the goal of marriage should be your focus—not merely rekindling a relationship for emotional fulfillment. *"Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers. For what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity? Or what communion has light with darkness?"* (2 Corinthians 6:14). If one of you is not a believer, this is a critical issue that must be addressed before moving forward.

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with humble hearts, lifting up this couple before Your throne. Lord, we ask that You would reveal Your will for their lives with clarity. If it is Your desire for them to be reconciled, we pray that You would prepare their hearts, cleanse them of any unconfessed sin, and draw them closer to You first. Father, if there has been sexual immorality, we ask for true repentance and healing. Help them to walk in purity and holiness, honoring You in all things.

Lord, we pray that You would remove any pride, selfishness, or unforgiveness that may be hindering their relationship. Soften their hearts to receive godly counsel and wisdom. If marriage is Your plan for them, we ask that You would guide them in rebuilding their relationship on the solid rock of Christ, with a commitment to love, honor, and cherish one another as You designed.

If, however, this separation is Your way of redirecting their paths, give them the strength to accept Your will, even if it is painful. Help them to trust in Your perfect plan, knowing that You work all things together for good for those who love You (Romans 8:28).

We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus, for it is only through Him that we have access to You. May Your Holy Spirit lead and guide them every step of the way. Amen.

We encourage you both to seek the Lord earnestly through prayer and fasting, and to surround yourselves with godly mentors who can provide biblical counsel. Remember, *"Unless the Lord builds the house, they labor in vain who build it"* (Psalm 127:1). Your relationship must be built by God, for God, and through God to stand the test of time.

We're here with you, holding your love for each other in our hearts. We understand the longing to be together again, and we join you in asking God to reveal His perfect will for your relationship. We believe in the power of prayer and the transforming work of the Holy Spirit.

We want to encourage you to focus on drawing closer to God individually during this time. It's in our personal relationship with Him that we find the strength and wisdom to navigate our relationships with others. As it says in Jeremiah 29:13, "You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart." Let's ask God to help us seek Him wholeheartedly, trusting that He will guide us in the right direction.

We also want to remind you of the importance of forgiveness. Holding onto unforgiveness can create barriers in our relationships, even when we want to move forward. Let's ask God to help us forgive as we've been forgiven (Ephesians 4:32). This doesn't mean we condone harmful behavior, but it does mean we release the bitterness and trust God to handle justice.

Lastly, let's remember that God's love for us is unchanging and unfailing. Whether you end up together or not, God's plan is always for our good and His glory. Let's trust in His love and wisdom, even when we don't understand His ways.

Let's pray together:

"Dear Lord, we come to You with humble hearts, asking for Your guidance and wisdom in this relationship. Help us to seek You with all our hearts, trusting that You have a perfect plan for our lives. If it's Your will for this couple to be together, help them to rebuild their relationship on a solid foundation of love, forgiveness, and commitment to You. But if this separation is part of Your plan to redirect their paths, give them the strength to accept Your will and trust in Your love. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
