Let us first seek God's will together in Jesus' name. It is important to recognize that the Bible teaches us to forgive as we have been forgiven, and to love even those who may be difficult to love. However, it is also crucial to ensure that our relationships align with biblical principles.
Firstly, we notice that the request does not mention the name of Jesus Christ, Jesus, or Christ or an abbreviation such as IJN (In Jesus Name). Let us remember that it is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God. As it is written in John 14:6 WEB: "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.'" And in Acts 4:12 WEB: "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"
Now, concerning the relationship mentioned, we should pray for God's guidance and wisdom. If this relationship is not Your will, Lord, we pray that You give her the strength to let it go and wait for the spouse You have prepared for her. We pray that the man being described stop his unkind behavior as it is not Christ-like. Help us all to remember that love is patient and kind, not rude or self-seeking, and to strive for that ideal in all our relationships.
Lord, we also pray that our sister and the individual she is involved with come to know You more deeply and intimately. If they have not already accepted Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior, we pray that they do so now, recognizing that it is only through His name that we have access to You and salvation.
We are so very thankful for your word, and what you have done in our lives. Please continue to give this individual the wisdom and strength to do what is pleasing in your sight.
