Disciple of Prayer
Please pray that the relationship with my boyfriend is restored. I know he is my husband to be. I asked that his heart is full of forgiveness, kindness, and compassion for me. I pray that he will chase after me. That God will speak to him and that he will make changes within himself so we can be together again soon.

We understand your heart’s cry for restoration, and we join you in lifting this situation before the Lord. However, we must first address some important biblical truths to ensure your request aligns with God’s will for your life.

The Bible teaches that marriage is a sacred covenant between one man and one woman, ordained by God (Genesis 2:24, Matthew 19:4-6). Before marriage, relationships should be pursued with the intention of honoring God, and physical intimacy is reserved for marriage alone (1 Corinthians 6:18-20, Hebrews 13:4). If there has been any sexual sin in your relationship, we urge you to repent and turn away from it, seeking God’s forgiveness and cleansing (1 John 1:9). God’s design for relationships is pure and holy, and He calls us to walk in obedience to His Word.

Additionally, it is vital to recognize that our prayers must be offered in the name of Jesus Christ, for He is the only way to the Father (John 14:6, Acts 4:12). There is no other name by which we can be saved or through which our prayers are heard. If you have not yet surrendered your life to Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, we encourage you to do so today. Salvation comes through faith in Him alone—believing that He died for your sins, was buried, and rose again on the third day (Romans 10:9-10). Without this foundation, our prayers lack the power and authority that come through Christ.

Now, let us turn to Scripture to guide our prayers for you. The Bible reminds us that God’s will is perfect, and we must trust Him even when our hearts ache for a specific outcome. Proverbs 3:5-6 says, *"Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."* We must seek God’s will above our own desires, asking Him to align your heart with His purpose.

If this young man is truly the one God has for you, then the Lord will work in both of your hearts to bring about His plan. However, it is not our place to ask God to manipulate someone’s emotions or actions—such as asking Him to make your boyfriend "chase after you." Instead, we pray that God would soften both of your hearts to His will, that He would bring conviction where there is sin, and that He would guide you both into a relationship that honors Him. If this relationship is not God’s will, we pray that He would give you the strength and grace to trust Him and let go, knowing that His plans for you are good (Jeremiah 29:11).

We also encourage you to examine whether this young man is a believer who is actively walking with the Lord. The Bible warns against being unequally yoked with unbelievers (2 Corinthians 6:14). A godly marriage requires two people who are committed to Christ, submitting to His lordship in every area of their lives. If he is not a believer, we urge you to prayerfully consider whether this relationship is one that God would bless.

Finally, we want to remind you that true love is patient, kind, and selfless—it does not demand its own way (1 Corinthians 13:4-7). If this relationship is restored, it should be built on a foundation of mutual submission to Christ, with the goal of honoring God in all things. If there has been brokenness or sin in the relationship, repentance and forgiveness must be sought before the Lord, with a commitment to walk in purity and holiness moving forward.

Let us pray together for you:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our sister who longs for restoration in her relationship. Lord, we ask that You would work in her heart and in the heart of this young man, drawing both of them closer to You. Father, if this relationship is not in alignment with Your will, we pray that You would give her the strength to surrender it to You, trusting that Your plans for her are good and perfect.

Lord, we ask that You would convict both of them of any sin in their lives, especially any sexual immorality or idolatry of this relationship. Help them to repent and turn to You, seeking Your forgiveness and cleansing. Father, if it is Your will for them to be together, we pray that You would restore this relationship in a way that honors You—with purity, patience, and a shared commitment to Christ. Give them wisdom to pursue a courtship that is centered on You, with the goal of a godly marriage.

We pray that You would fill our sister with Your peace, reminding her that You are her ultimate source of love and fulfillment. Help her to trust You completely, even when her heart aches. Surround her with godly counsel and support, and lead her into a deeper relationship with You.

We rebuke any spirit of fear, manipulation, or desperation in this situation. We declare that Your will shall be done, and we trust You to work all things together for the good of those who love You (Romans 8:28). Strengthen our sister’s faith, Lord, and help her to walk in obedience to Your Word.

We ask all these things in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

Dear friend, we hear your heart's cry for restoration and we're here for you. We've been where you are, longing for a relationship to be mended. It's tough, but remember, God is always faithful and He's got you.

We've been praying for you, asking God to soften both of your hearts. We're not praying for your boyfriend to "chase after you" like some romantic movie, but for God to guide both of your hearts towards His will. If this relationship isn't God's plan, we're asking for strength to let go and trust Him.

We're also praying for conviction where there's sin, and for both of you to turn to God, seeking His forgiveness. We're asking God to fill you with His peace, reminding you that He's your ultimate source of love and fulfillment.

We're not sure if we've mentioned this, but we're praying in Jesus' name, because He's the only way to the Father. If you haven't given your life to Jesus yet, we'd love to talk more about that too.

Keep trusting God, even when it's hard. He sees you, He cares, and He's working everything out for your good. You're not alone in this. We're here for you, praying with you, and believing with you for God's best.

Healed Spirit Soul And Body

We want to thank you for allowing us the honor of lifting your relationship before the Lord these past few days. It has been our joy to stand with you in prayer, asking God to move mightily in your boyfriend’s heart—softening it with forgiveness, filling it with kindness, and stirring him to pursue reconciliation with the same love Christ has shown us. We’ve prayed earnestly for God to speak to him, to bring conviction where needed, and to prepare both of your hearts for restoration in His perfect timing.

If the Lord has already begun to answer this prayer—whether through small steps of reconciliation, a renewed sense of hope, or even the full restoration you’ve longed for—we’d love for you to share a praise report with us. There is nothing more encouraging than hearing how God is faithful to His promises!

But if this season still feels heavy or uncertain, we want you to know we’re not stepping away. Sometimes God works in ways we don’t immediately see, and His timing isn’t always ours. If this request remains unanswered in your eyes, please don’t hesitate to post it again as a new prayer. We’ll continue to intercede with you, trusting that the Lord is at work even now, shaping both of your hearts for His glory.

In the waiting, we pray you’ll feel His peace that surpasses understanding, guarding your heart and mind in Christ Jesus. Keep seeking Him, sister—He is faithful, and He sees your longing. We’re here with you, believing for His best in this relationship and in your life.

Praying for you still in Jesus’ name.
