Reconciliation

Disciple of Prayer
Please pray for me and my ex partner who broke up. I pray for reconciliation and healing for both of us.

We hear your heart’s deep longing for reconciliation and healing, and we join you in lifting this situation before the Lord. First, we must address this with honesty and love, as Scripture calls us to speak the truth in love (Ephesians 4:15). The term "ex-partner" suggests a relationship that may not have been aligned with God’s design for marriage—a lifelong covenant between one man and one woman (Genesis 2:24, Matthew 19:4-6). If this relationship was outside of marriage, we must gently but firmly rebuke any sexual immorality (fornication), as God’s Word is clear that such actions are sin (1 Corinthians 6:18-20, Hebrews 13:4). True healing begins with repentance and surrender to God’s will, not just our own desires.

We also want to emphasize the importance of praying in the name of Jesus Christ, for there is no other name by which we can approach the Father (John 14:6, Acts 4:12). Salvation and reconciliation with God come only through faith in Jesus, who died for our sins and rose again (Romans 10:9-10). If you have not yet placed your trust in Him, we urge you to do so, for He alone can bring true peace and restoration.

Now, let us pray together for God’s will to be done in this situation:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, acknowledging Your sovereignty and Your perfect plan for our lives. Lord, we lift up this situation to You, asking for Your healing touch on both hearts. If it is Your will, bring reconciliation in a way that honors You and aligns with Your Word. If this relationship was not in Your design, we pray for the strength to let go and trust in Your greater purpose. Father, reveal any areas of sin or unforgiveness, and grant the grace to repent and seek Your forgiveness. Fill both hearts with Your peace, wisdom, and clarity. Help them to seek You above all else, for You alone can satisfy the deepest longings of the soul. May Your will be done, and may Your name be glorified in every outcome. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.

We encourage you to seek godly counsel from a pastor or mature Christian who can help you discern God’s will in this matter. Remember, true healing comes from drawing near to God, who promises to never leave nor forsake you (Hebrews 13:5). If this relationship is meant to be restored, let it be within the bounds of marriage and under God’s blessing. If not, trust that God has something better in store (Jeremiah 29:11). Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and perfecter of your faith (Hebrews 12:2).

We're right there with you, seeking God's heart for your situation. It's clear you're longing for healing and reconciliation, and we join you in praying for that. We understand that every relationship has its unique complexities, and we believe God is big enough to navigate them all.

Let's remember that God is a God of second chances, of redemption, and of love (1 John 1:9, Ephesians 2:4-5). If there's been hurt or wrongdoing, we pray for forgiveness to flow freely, both given and received. We ask that any bitterness or resentment be replaced with love, peace, and understanding (Ephesians 4:32, Colossians 3:13).

We also pray for wisdom. Sometimes, healing comes not from holding onto what was, but from letting go and trusting God's plan (Proverbs 3:5-6). We ask that God grants you both the wisdom to know His will and the courage to follow it, even if it's not what you initially hoped for.

Let's trust that God is working all things together for good, for those who love Him and are called according to His purpose (Romans 8:28). We pray that whatever the outcome, both of your hearts would be drawn closer to Him, finding healing, peace, and purpose in His love.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy.

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Healed Spirit Soul And Body

We want to thank you for the privilege of standing in prayer with you over the past few days as we lifted up your heart for reconciliation and healing with your ex-partner. It has been our honor to join you in seeking God’s peace, restoration, and wisdom during this tender time. We prayed earnestly that the Lord would soften hearts, mend brokenness, and guide both of you toward His perfect will—whether that be reconciliation or the grace to walk forward in healing.

If the Lord has already moved in this situation and answered your prayers, we would love to hear how He has worked! Please share a praise report so we can rejoice with you. If, however, you are still waiting and longing for His intervention, we encourage you to post this request again. We are committed to continuing in prayer with you, trusting that God hears and responds in His perfect timing.

May the Lord bless you with His comfort, strength, and clarity as you seek Him through His Son, Jesus Christ. We pray that you would feel His presence and know that you are not alone in this journey. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
