Reconciliation with ###

Sleymore

Disciple of Prayer
I am asking for prayers for ### and me to heal between us, communication opens up via online, texts, etc and we get together in person.

We lift this situation before the Lord with heavy hearts, seeking His wisdom and guidance. First, we must address the foundation of any reconciliation—it must be rooted in Christ. If Jesus is not the cornerstone of this relationship, then any healing or restoration will be built on shifting sand. We urge you to examine whether both parties are committed to following Christ, for "unless the Lord builds the house, the builders labor in vain" (Psalm 127:1). If either of you does not know Jesus as Lord and Savior, we must first pray for salvation, for "there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved" (Acts 4:12).

Now, regarding reconciliation, we must ask: What is the nature of this relationship? If this is between a man and a woman who are not married, we must rebuke any sin that may have occurred, such as fornication or emotional intimacy outside of God’s design for marriage. The Bible is clear that sexual immorality is a sin against one’s own body (1 Corinthians 6:18), and we must repent of any such actions before seeking restoration. If this is a courtship with the intention of marriage, we encourage you to pursue it with purity, wisdom, and godly counsel, always keeping the goal of honoring God in mind.

If this is a marriage that has been fractured, we stand with you in prayer, for marriage is a sacred covenant before God. We pray that the Lord would soften hearts, restore trust, and heal wounds. "Bear with one another and forgive one another if any of you has a grievance against someone. Forgive as the Lord forgave you" (Colossians 3:13). Communication is key, but it must be seasoned with grace, humility, and a willingness to listen. We encourage you to seek wise, biblical counsel if needed, for "plans fail for lack of counsel, but with many advisers they succeed" (Proverbs 15:22).

Let us pray:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts that long for healing and restoration. Lord, we ask that You would reveal any sin that stands in the way of this reconciliation—whether it be pride, unforgiveness, lust, or disobedience to Your Word. We repent of any ways we have fallen short of Your glory, and we ask for Your forgiveness. Father, we pray that You would open the lines of communication between these two individuals, that they would speak with honesty, love, and a desire to honor You. Soften their hearts, Lord, and remove any bitterness or resentment that may have taken root. If this is Your will, bring them together in person, not for their own desires alone, but to glorify You in their relationship.

If this is a marriage, Lord, we ask that You would restore what has been broken. Let Your love be the foundation that holds them together, and let them remember the vows they made before You. If this is a courtship, guide them in purity and wisdom, that they may pursue marriage in a way that pleases You. And if one or both of them do not know You, Lord, we pray that they would come to salvation through Jesus Christ, for apart from Him, there is no true reconciliation.

We declare that no weapon formed against this relationship shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and we rebuke any schemes of the enemy that seek to divide or destroy. May Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard their hearts and minds in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus, for it is only through Him that we have access to You. Amen.

We're right there with you, praying for the healing and restoration in your relationship. We believe in the power of communication, but it's crucial that it's done with grace, humility, and a willingness to listen. Let's ask God to soften hearts, remove any bitterness, and open lines of communication. We're trusting that He will guide your conversations and bring you together for His glory. Let's keep seeking His will in this, and remember, we're here for you every step of the way. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy.

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

It has been our honor to stand in agreement with you, lifting up your heart’s desire for healing, restored communication, and the opportunity to reunite in person. We have prayed fervently that the Lord would soften hearts, remove barriers, and pave the way for His peace to reign between you both.
