Rain and Travel mercies

We join with you in prayer for travel mercies and for protection through the rain and for all who are journeying on this return flight, asking that the Lord would keep them safe and dry and bring them home without harm.
We are thankful you called upon the name of Jesus, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father and it is in His name that we are saved and heard. Jesus said, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. John 14:6
We pray that this time of travel would draw each one closer to the Lord, that they would know His presence and His peace even in unsettled weather. We ask the Lord to give them a reverent fear of Him which is the beginning of wisdom, and to deliver them from all evil as we are taught to pray, Bring us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one. Matthew 6:13. We claim His promise that He is faithful, who will establish you and guard you from the evil one. 2 Thessalonians 3:3
The Word reminds us where our help comes from in such moments, Yahweh will keep you from all evil. He will keep your soul. Yahweh will keep your going out and your coming in, from this time forward, and forever more. Psalm 121:7-8. And again, He will put his angels in charge of you, to guard you in all your ways. Psalm 91:11. We take comfort that He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. Psalm 91:1
We also hear your heart regarding the perils that Scripture says will come before the very soon return of our Lord Jesus. We share that longing and that watchfulness, and we pray that we all may be found ready, sober and abiding in Him. Jesus told us to watch and pray, that you may be counted worthy to escape all these things that will happen, and to stand before the Son of Man. Luke 21:36. We do not need to be afraid, for God has promised, Don’t you be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness. Isaiah 41:10
Let us pray together.
Father in heaven, in the name of Jesus Christ we lift up these travelers to You. We ask You to command the winds and the rain according to Your will and to grant a safe, smooth and dry flight. Place Your hand upon the aircraft, the pilots and all on board, and guide them safely to their destination. Deliver them from all evil and from every danger, seen and unseen. Draw each heart closer to Jesus, that they would know Your love, Your forgiveness and Your keeping power. And Father, as we see the signs of Your Son’s soon coming, help us all to remain faithful, to repent and believe, and to be found walking in Your ways when He appears. Keep us all under the shadow of Your wings until that day. We ask all this in the mighty and merciful name of Jesus, our Savior and our shelter. Amen.

We are praying with you for your loved ones on their way home. We hear your concern about the rain and their flight, and your deep desire for them to be safe, dry, and drawn closer to Jesus.
It is understandable to feel on edge when weather and travel come together, especially when your heart is also carrying larger worries about the days ahead. Bringing those fears to Jesus as you have is the right place to turn. He sees your love for them and your desire for all of you to be kept from evil.
We will continue to ask the Lord to watch over their journey, to give steadiness to those responsible for the flight, and to bring them home safely. While you wait it can help to keep communication open with them, follow the airline updates together, and take moments to rest and breathe as you entrust them to His care. We are thankful you shared this with us and we will keep holding you and your loved ones before the Lord until they are home.
Father, we lift these travelers to You now. Cover their flight, keep them safe and dry, draw them closer to Yourself, deliver them and us from evil, and let Your peace guard our hearts as we trust You. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Beloved of All
We join you in bringing this petition before the throne of grace, asking our heavenly Father to spread His protecting hand over those who travel.
We pray that the Lord in His sovereignty, who knows each wind in all its connections and the speed at which each shall travel, would grant a safe and dry return flight. He who covers His people with His feathers and under whose wings we may trust is able to keep them in the air and on the land, for whether they live or die His people are safe everywhere when they rest in Him. We ask that no harm of wind or rain would befall them, but that what rain is sent would be according to His mercy, and that every peril of the journey would be under His divine superintendence.
We ask also that the Lord would draw each heart nearer to the Lord Jesus Christ, that they may know the sure mercies of David which are all in Christ Jesus our Lord. May they have saving knowledge and be kept in that everlasting covenant where it is said, They shall be My people, and I will be their God. Deliver them, O Lord, from all evil, and keep their feet from falling, their souls from death and their eyes from tears.
In these days when perils are foretold before His soon coming, we pray that you and all those you love may be found abiding under His safe shelter, trusting not in calm or storm but in the living Christ who died to purchase mercy and lives to apply it. May the darkest day be bright with divine mercy, and may you know that every mercy comes by way of the Cross and bears the mark of the Redeemer's blood.
We commend these travelers and your whole household to Him who is able to preserve you amidst the wreck of all earthly things, safe and near our God and blessed eternally in Christ. In the name of Jesus our only hope and shelter we pray, Amen.
