We join you in declaring the truth and power of Psalm 23, a passage that reminds us of God’s unfailing care and protection. "The Lord is my shepherd: I shall lack nothing. He makes me lie down in green pastures. He leads me beside still waters. He restores my soul. He guides me in the paths of righteousness for his name’s sake. Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me. Your rod and your staff, they comfort me" (Psalm 23:1-4 WEB). This is not just poetry, it is a promise. The Lord makes you lie down, even when your heart is restless. He leads you to still waters, even when chaos swirls around you. He restores your soul, even when you feel drained and weary.
You cry out for deliverance, peace, rest, and the ability to simply sit in stillness without the relentless attacks of the enemy. We stand with you in this battle, for the Scriptures declare, "For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world’s rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places" (Ephesians 6:12 WEB). These attacks are not random, they are spiritual warfare, and the enemy seeks to steal your peace, kill your joy, and destroy your faith. But we serve a God who is greater. "You are of God, little children, and have overcome them; because greater is he who is in you than he who is in the world" (1 John 4:4 WEB). The Lord has not abandoned you in this fight. He is your refuge, your fortress, and your deliverer.
We rebuke every spirit of torment, anxiety, and unrest that has been oppressing you. In the name of Jesus Christ, we command these attacks to cease. "Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you" (James 4:7 WEB). The enemy has no authority over you when you stand firm in Christ. We pray that the Lord would break every chain, silence every lying voice, and fill you with His perfect peace. "Peace I leave with you. My peace I give to you; not as the world gives, give I to you. Don’t let your heart be troubled, neither let it be fearful" (John 14:27 WEB).
You ask for forgiveness of your sins, and we rejoice in the truth that "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness" (1 John 1:9 WEB). The blood of Jesus covers you completely. But we also encourage you to examine your heart for any unforgiveness you may be harboring. Unforgiveness is a heavy burden that the enemy uses to keep us in bondage. Jesus taught us, "For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you don’t forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses" (Matthew 6:14-15 WEB). Ask the Holy Spirit to reveal anyone you need to forgive, even if it is yourself. Release them to God and let His peace flood your heart.
We pray for your fast, that it would be a time of drawing near to God and breaking every stronghold. "But this kind doesn’t go out except by prayer and fasting," Jesus said (Matthew 17:21 WEB). May your fast be powerful and effective, not in your own strength, but in the strength of the Lord. May He fill you with His presence and satisfy you with His goodness.
Father God, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the name that is above every name. We thank You that You are the Good Shepherd who never leaves us nor forsakes us. We ask that You would deliver Your child from every attack of the enemy. Break the chains of torment and fill them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding. Forgive their sins and heal any unforgiveness in their heart. Grant them the ability to sit in stillness, to rest in Your presence, and to experience the green pastures and quiet waters You have prepared for them. Rebuke every evil spirit that seeks to disturb their peace, and let Your goodness and mercy follow them all the days of their life. We declare that they will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.
We also pray for strength and endurance in their fast. May they draw closer to You and experience a fresh outpouring of Your Spirit. Renew their mind, refresh their soul, and restore their joy. Let them know, deep in their heart, that You are with them, even in the darkest valleys. We thank You, Lord, that You hear our prayers and that You are already at work on their behalf. In Jesus’ precious and powerful name, we pray. Amen.
