Thank you Heavenly Father for this beautiful day. I pray for deliverance, peace, rest, forgiveness, and that you would rebuke this evil and remove it, and successful fast. Please also stop the burning on my flesh my Lord. I feel as if I am literally being burned. Please please please Heavenly Father remove this evil. Please also forgive me for my sins. Please also heal any unforgiveness I may have. Please stop the attacks that are currently happening my Lord and never seem to end. I would just love to be able to sit in peace again Jesus. Please Father grant me the ability to just sit in peace. I would be so grateful my Lord. In Jesus Christ precious name. A

We hear your cry for deliverance, peace, and rest, and we stand with you in agreement, lifting your burdens before the throne of grace. The words of Psalm 23 are a powerful reminder of God’s faithfulness and care, even in the darkest valleys. You are not alone, He is with you, His rod and staff comforting you, and His goodness pursuing you all the days of your life.

Father in Heaven, we come before You with heavy hearts, interceding for our brother/sister who is enduring such intense spiritual and physical torment. Lord, we ask that You rebuke every evil attack, every spirit of affliction, and every work of darkness that is oppressing them. Your Word declares in James 4:7, "Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you." We stand on this promise, declaring that the enemy has no authority over Your child. We command every tormenting spirit to flee in the mighty name of Jesus Christ!

We also pray for physical relief, Lord. The burning sensation they describe is real, and we ask for Your healing touch to soothe and restore their flesh. You are the Great Physician, and we trust in Your power to heal. "But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed" (Isaiah 53:5). We claim this healing now, in Jesus’ name.

Father, we ask for forgiveness to flow freely in their heart. Help them release any unforgiveness, bitterness, or resentment that may be giving the enemy a foothold. Your Word tells us in Ephesians 4:31-32, "Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, outcry, and slander be put away from you, with all malice. And be kind to one another, tender hearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you." We pray for a fresh infilling of Your Holy Spirit to cleanse and renew their mind and spirit.

Lord, grant them the peace they so desperately seek. Let Your presence overshadow them, bringing rest to their soul and stillness to their spirit. "Peace I leave with you. My peace I give to you; not as the world gives, I give to you. Don’t let your heart be troubled, neither let it be fearful" (John 14:27). We declare that the attacks will cease, and they will experience the quiet waters and green pastures described in Psalm 23.

We also lift up their fast before You, asking that You strengthen them and honor their sacrifice. May this time of fasting draw them closer to You and break every chain that has bound them. "However, this kind doesn’t go out except by prayer and fasting" (Matthew 17:21).

Finally, we thank You for the name of Jesus, the only name by which we are saved and delivered. There is power in the name of Jesus to break every chain, heal every wound, and silence every enemy. We stand firm in that truth today.

When you mention a literal burning sensation on your flesh, we want to encourage you, alongside your prayers, to see a doctor. Physical and spiritual realities often intertwine, and medical attention can be one way God brings care and clarity. There’s no shame in that, it’s wise stewardship of the body He gave you.

We know the weight of praying for deliverance and peace when attacks feel constant. Something that has helped many in times like these is not carrying the prayer alone. Even a brief, quiet prayer with a trusted friend, pastor, or small group can anchor you when the assault feels relentless. The simple nearness of another believer can remind your spirit that you are not isolated, and Christ’s peace often settles most tangibly when two or three gather in His name.

You also asked God to heal any unforgiveness you might be carrying. That’s a tender, honest prayer. Sometimes simply naming the hurt, aloud or in writing, and releasing it to Jesus with open hands can begin to loosen the grip resentment holds on your heart. It’s not a formula, but a slow turning toward the freedom He already purchased for you.

And as you continue your fast, remember that its power is not in the going without, but in fixing your gaze more steadily on Christ, who is your true victory.

Jesus, quiet this child of Yours with the nearness of Your presence. Calm what torments their body and mind, and guide them to the practical help they may need. Shield them from what is evil, and let the peace that surpasses understanding stand guard over their heart and soul. In Your mighty name we pray.

You have cried out from the valley of the shadow, and the Good Shepherd hears. That burning upon your flesh, oh, how the wound of sin can make every vein a road for the hot feet of pain to travel, till the whole frame is made to tingle. Yet the blood of Jesus whispers peace within, quenching such fiery arrows. There is forgiveness with God, a forgiveness complete and eternal, a forgiveness that yields a calm so deep it passes all understanding.

Rest in the Lord. Weary one, recline upon the promise now. He makes you lie down in green pastures; He leads you beside quiet waters. Cease from your own strivings and learn of Him, for to do the will of Jesus, this is rest.

Commit the evil that assaults you into His hand. Salvation is of the Lord, and He is your strength in the time of trouble; He will rebuke the enemy and deliver you. And let the Spirit sweep away any root of unforgiveness within, for He that speaks with an ill tongue of his neighbour has an ill heart. The forgiveness you receive is meant to melt you into forgiving others, and so you enter the deep rest that remains.

Trust now, stagger not at the promise through unbelief, and you shall find perfect peace, peace, peace, keeping your heart and mind. The Shepherd will never leave you; His rod and staff comfort you until you dwell in His house forever.

You have cried out with the words of the Shepherd’s psalm, and rightly so, for He is the only refuge in the dark valley. The burning you feel, the ceaseless attacks, are not signs of His absence but the devil’s rage against a soul seeking refuge in God. Yet do not let this pain become an accusation against the flesh as if it were evil in itself. The body is a harp, and the Spirit the harper. The strings may be struck by a malicious hand, but the Master can retune them to produce a song of deliverance. When you cry, “Stop the burning on my flesh,” remember that even Paul was given a thorn, a messenger of Satan to buffet him, that he might learn that God’s grace is sufficient and His strength is made perfect in weakness.

The peace you long for, to simply sit in quietness, is not a worldly peace that depends on the absence of conflict. That peace is often a truce with sin. The true peace, the fruit of the Spirit, is born when the mutinous part of us is cut off, when sin no longer reigns. It is a peace that can flourish even while enemies surround your table. For when the Shepherd prepares a table before you in the presence of your foes, He does not remove them immediately; He feeds you, anoints you, makes your cup overflow right there in their sight. His rod and staff, the discipline and support of His Word and Spirit, comfort you by driving away the thieves that seek to scatter the flock.

You ask for forgiveness, and the Shepherd who laid down His life for the sheep freely grants it. But see to it that you hold no unforgiveness in your heart. The tormentors are given a foothold where bitterness lodges. Forgive quickly, as you have been forgiven, and the burning of resentment will cool. This fast you undertake: let it be not merely an abstinence from food but a turning of the soul’s appetite wholly to God. The body may protest, the enemy may intensify the heat, but the Spirit who led Christ into the wilderness to be tempted will also lead you through it. He did not leave Him, and He will not leave you.

Yet be not alone. The wolf stalks the sheep that strays from the fold. When the Savior was led up by the Spirit, He was led into the wilderness, but you are not the Savior; you are a sheep who needs the flock. Gather with the faithful, pour out your trouble where two or three pray in His name, and let the anointing oil of their intercession cover you. The burning attack thrives in isolation; the peace of God is often conveyed through the hands and voices of the brethren.

Do not suppose that a swift end to the trial is the only sign of answered prayer. The Spirit’s work is to make you a man or woman of iron instead of clay, to give you wings. This may require the furnace. Your cry for rest is heard, but first learn that the rest He gives is not idleness, it is the rest of a weaned child with its mother, trustful and still in the midst of the storm. The darkness of the valley is real, but the Shepherd is nearer than the shadow. He went through death itself to break its power; will He now abandon you to a lesser foe?

So continue to pray, forgive, fast, and cling to the body of believers. Say to the enemy, “I am not my own; I am bought with a price. The Lord rebuke you.” And may the Spirit who raised Christ from the dead quicken your mortal body, quenching every fiery dart, and bring you into that pasture where you shall dwell in the house of the Lord forever.

The words you’ve claimed from Psalm 23 are not merely poetry; they are the present-tense reality for the sheep who know the Shepherd’s voice. He makes you lie down. He leads. He refreshes. Notice that the rest comes before the dark valley is removed. The table is prepared right in front of the enemies, not after they’ve been vanquished. The burning sensation you feel, the relentless nature of these attacks, is the enemy’s attempt to fix your mind on the fire rather than on the One who walks through it with you.

There is a difference between knowing you have peace with God through forgiveness and actually possessing the peace of God that guards your heart and mind. You’ve asked for forgiveness for your sins, and the work of Jesus Christ is a finished work. That war is over. When you turn your life over to Him, you are no longer a storm-tossed sea that cannot rest, churning up mire and dirt. Those are the thoughts of peace God has toward you, not of evil, to give you a future and a hope. But the turmoil you are experiencing now is the battle between the mind of the flesh and the mind of the Spirit. The mind fixed on the burning, on the attack, on the desperation for it to stop, is a mind focused on the fleshly experience of suffering, and that mind is death and turmoil. The mind set on the Spirit is life and peace.

This is where the rest you long for is found. You cannot rest in your works, your fasting, or your frantic pleas for the evil to be removed. The only place you will ever rest is in the abandonment of faith. It is an incomplete commitment that surprisingly leads to complete rest. Your flesh wants to fight, to reform itself, to improve its performance to earn deliverance. But in your flesh dwells no good thing. You are a debtor, but you do not owe your flesh a thing; you do not have to live after its panic. The liberty Christ gives is not the liberty to be consumed by what you feel, but the liberty not to be forced by those feelings anymore.

Shift the mind. Labor to enter that rest. Right now, in the presence of the enemy causing this burning, the Shepherd has prepared a table. The oil of His Spirit is for your head, an anointing of healing and consecration that the fire of the enemy cannot nullify. The cup that overflows is His mercy and grace for you right now, mercy that withholds the judgment you deserve, and grace that pours out the peace you do not deserve. Stop trying to rebuke the darkness in your own strength and instead, feast at the table He has already set. Fix your mind on the Spirit’s truth that you are dwelling in the house of the Lord forever, and the goodness and mercy that are actively pursuing you even in this fire. That is where the burning sensation loses its power over your soul. As your mind stays on Him, kept in that perfect peace, the turmoil subsides, not because the enemy is gone, but because the Shepherd is there.
