Ps. 23, gratitude, deliverance, rest peace rebuke evil, forgiveness

Beloved of All
“The Lord is my shepherd, I lack nothing. He makes me lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside quiet waters, he refreshes my soul. He guides me along the right paths for his name’s sake. Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me. You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows. Surely your goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.”
‭‭Psalms‬ ‭23‬:‭1‬-‭6‬ ‭NIV‬‬

Prayer
Thank you Heavenly Father for this beautiful day. I pray for deliverance, peace, rest, forgiveness, and that you would rebuke this evil and remove it, and a successful fast. Please please please Heavenly Father remove it. Please also forgive me for my sins. Please also heal any unforgiveness I may have. Please stop the attacks that are currently happening my Lord and never seem to end. I would just love to be able to sit in peace again Jesus. I see pictures of people just sitting and reading a book, writing or doing something simple. With these evil attacks I don’t have that right because it’s hard to stay still with the way it attacks. Please Father grant me the ability to just sit in peace. I would be so grateful my Lord. In Jesus Christ precious name. Amen

We stand with you in the powerful truth of Psalm 23, declaring that the Lord is indeed your Shepherd, and in Him, you lack nothing. The green pastures, quiet waters, and right paths He leads you to are not just distant promises, they are your inheritance as His beloved child. Even in the darkest valleys, His rod and staff bring comfort, and His presence dispels all fear. We take hold of this truth with you, refusing to let the enemy steal your peace or distort your identity in Christ.

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, the only name by which we have access to You and the only name by which we are saved. We thank You for this dear one’s heart of gratitude and their cry for deliverance. Lord, we ask that You rebuke every evil attack, every spirit of unrest, and every scheme of the enemy that seeks to rob them of the peace You have already given. Your Word declares in James 4:7, "Resist the devil, and he will flee from you." So we stand in agreement, declaring that every attack is broken in Jesus’ name. We plead the blood of Jesus over their mind, body, and spirit, and we command every lying spirit to flee. You are not a God of chaos but of peace (1 Corinthians 14:33), and we ask that You restore the quiet rest that only You can give.

Father, we also lift up their plea for forgiveness. Your Word tells us in 1 John 1:9, "If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness." We thank You that You are faithful to forgive and that Your mercy is new every morning. We ask that You reveal any areas of unforgiveness in their heart, whether toward others or themselves, and fill them with Your perfect love, which casts out all fear (1 John 4:18). Help them to release any bitterness or resentment, just as You have forgiven them, so that no root of bitterness can take hold (Hebrews 12:15).

Lord, we also pray for the strength and discipline to fast in a way that honors You. Fasting is a powerful spiritual discipline that draws us closer to You and weakens the hold of the enemy. We declare that this fast will be successful, not by their own strength, but by the power of Your Holy Spirit. As they seek You with their whole heart, we believe You will answer and deliver them from every attack (Jeremiah 29:13).

We rebuke the lie that they must live in constant turmoil. Jesus came so that they might have life, and have it abundantly (John 10:10). The enemy wants to keep them in a cycle of distraction and unrest, but we declare that cycle is broken now. We speak peace over their mind, their home, and their circumstances. We pray that You would grant them the ability to sit in stillness, to read, to write, or simply to rest in Your presence without fear or torment. Let them experience the truth of Psalm 46:10, "Be still, and know that I am God."

Father, we also want to gently remind them that the attacks they are facing may be spiritual in nature, and the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty through You to the pulling down of strongholds (2 Corinthians 10:4). We encourage them to put on the full armor of God daily, truth, righteousness, the gospel of peace, faith, salvation, and the Word of God (Ephesians 6:10-18). The enemy cannot stand against the authority they have in Jesus Christ.

Lastly, we pray for a fresh infilling of the Holy Spirit. May they be filled with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7) and may Your joy be their strength (Nehemiah 8:10). Let them walk in the confidence that You are with them, that You are for them, and that no weapon formed against them shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17).

In the precious and powerful name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.

We hear how deeply you long for the simple gift of sitting still in peace, of reading a book, writing, or just being, without the relentless intrusion of what you’re enduring. That kind of exhaustion is real, and we don’t want to rush past it. Thank you for sharing Psalm 23 with us; it’s a lifeline when rest feels out of reach.

When peace won’t settle, we’ve found it can help to take baby steps, not heroic ones. Pick a tiny, tangible moment today, even just sixty seconds. Sit. Breathe a few words from the psalm: “He makes me lie down.” Don’t try to force the attacks to stop; just give your body and mind permission to pause in God’s presence, letting that small stillness be enough for now. Over time, those moments can become a little shelter you return to.

You mentioned a fast you’re pursuing, and we’ll pray for it to be spiritually rich. Please do guard your health along the way, stay well hydrated, and if you’re on any medication or have underlying conditions, check with a doctor. A fast is meant to draw you closer to God, not to harm you.

Above all, remember that your worth and your safety are not measured by the quietness you can produce. Even in the noise, the Shepherd hasn’t lost sight of you.

Prayer:
Father, see this loved one’s exhaustion and hear their cry for deliverance. Grant them small, steady patches of rest. Shield them from what would steal their peace, and overshadow their mind with Your own stillness. Forgive their sins and soften any hidden places of unforgiveness, that their heart may be light. Guide their fast safely. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

You cry for peace, for rest, for deliverance from the evil that assails you, and your cry is not unheard. The Shepherd of Psalm 23 knows the dark valley through which you walk, and He has not left you to face the wolves alone. But mark this: the peace you long for is not found in the mere absence of noise, nor in the quiet corner with a book, though that seems a paradise to your weary soul. The rest that Jesus gives is not a rest of circumstances, it is a rest of the heart. "Peace, perfect peace! In this dark world of sin? The blood of Jesus whispers peace within." Until sin is pardoned and the conscience is cleansed, no outward stillness can hush the tempest within. You have asked forgiveness, and with a penitent heart you may have it now, full, free, eternal, for there is forgiveness with God, even for the chief of sinners. He says, "I, even I, am he that blotteth out thy transgressions." Take it. Believe it. In the blood and righteousness of Jesus your peace is perfect.

Yet you speak of attacks, evil that will not let you be still, a torment that hinders even your sitting. Do not imagine this is strange. The wicked one would rob you of rest at any cost, and he knows well how to stir the soul to its very depths. But the Lord shall rebuke him. "The Lord will bless his people with peace," but that peace is a flower that buds on earth and only fully blooms in heaven, yet even its breath is sweet. To be perfectly at peace amid thronging cares is the portion of those whose mind is stayed on God. How is it obtained? "To do the will of Jesus, this is rest." Are you sure that what you ask is according to His will? He may be teaching you to take up His yoke, for it is only in bearing that burden that you find the deeper rest, the rest of a soul learning of Him. Do not think the cessation of attacks is the first or only gift; the first gift is Himself. "Come unto me," He says, "and I will give you rest." That rest is present, immediate, perfect. It comes not after a long fast or a successful struggle, but by an act of instantaneous faith. Trust Him now. You are accepted in the Beloved, and your deliverance from the archers of hell is as sure as the throne of God.

Let the evil thoughts come, they are the fiery darts of the enemy. Look them in the face: are they not stamped with the cloven hoof? Then why should you be troubled by the devil’s own lies? Your forgiveness is a continuous act; He who began it will complete it. Even when you cannot sit still in body, your soul may lie down in green pastures, for the Shepherd’s rod and staff, emblems of His sovereign protection and tender correction, comfort you amid the fray. He prepares a table before you in the very presence of your enemies. That table is spread now: come, recline, and feed upon the promises. The cup that overflows is the seal of your pardon and your peace. Rest in the Lord, for He has delivered you from the noise of archers; let no dark thought make the ocean of your soul boil. Stay at home with your God in the closet of your heart, and you will find peace there. The wicked may be like the troubled sea, but you are His people, and He will bless you with peace. Take it, for it is yours in Jesus Christ.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

The words you pray from Psalm 23 are indeed a declaration of trust: "The Lord is my shepherd, I lack nothing." But if you lack peace and rest, then examine your soul carefully. True peace is not merely sitting undisturbed; it is the fruit of righteousness and reconciliation. For the kingdom of God is not about food and drink, but righteousness, peace, and joy in the Holy Spirit. When you pursue these, the God of love and peace will be with you, and every evil will be removed.

You ask for deliverance and that the enemy be rebuked. This is a good prayer, and God will answer it. Yet consider this: often the enemy finds a door through unforgiveness. If you harbor any grudge, any memory of wrongs done, let it go now. Forgive, that you may be forgiven. As the Apostle says, "Be of the same mind, live in peace, and the God of love and peace shall be with you." Peace is the mother of all good things; without it, everything is useless. When you make peace in your heart, you become a child of God, for the peacemakers are called His sons. So answer evil not with turmoil but with praise and blessing toward those who trouble you. Thus you will take vengeance on the devil and deliver your own soul from evil surmising.

You long just to sit quietly and read or write, but the attacks steal that stillness. Understand that outward disturbance cannot conquer an inward peace that is rooted in God. The Lord Jesus was often surrounded by enemies, yet He remained in perfect calm because He entrusted all to the Father. He did not always rebuke harshly; at times He bore plots against Him with meekness, teaching us to be gentle and patient. In your own spirit, then, do not add to the assault by anger or fear. Rather, let the peace of Christ rule in your heart, and that peace will guard you even when the storm rages. Continue your fast and prayer, but let it be founded on love. For fasting without gentleness and forgiveness cannot profit. When you release all bitterness, the Shepherd will lead you beside quiet waters once again. The God of peace will bruise Satan under your feet, and you shall sit in rest, with goodness and mercy following you all your days, dwelling in the house of the Lord forever.

It is right to bring Psalm 23 before the Lord, for it is more than a beautiful poem. It is a promise. The Shepherd leads you beside quiet waters, yet your soul feels battered by a storm that never ceases. The attack you describe is real, but the answer is not found in your ability to brace against it. The issue is not simply deliverance from the assault. The issue is entering into the fullness God has for you, a rest already won.

You have peace with God through the forgiveness you asked for. The war over your soul is finished because of the blood of Christ. But you long for the deep, still peace of God, the kind that keeps a heart steady while the battle still rages outside. That peace only comes when your mind is stayed on Him. You try to rest in your own efforts, in a successful fast or in a feeling of stillness, but the only place you will ever truly rest is in faith. An incomplete commitment will never give you rest; only a complete abandonment to God provides perfect peace.

The enemy wants you to believe that your inability to sit still with a book means you have no standing. That is a lie. That storm-tossed sea that cannot rest is the picture of a heart that has not yet laid hold of its foundation. You have that foundation. When the attacks come, and the turmoil rises, do not get upset and lose your peace trying to fight in your own flesh. That only leads to discouragement. Instead, labor to enter into that rest. There remains a rest available for you right now, and you enter it not by striving, but by ceasing from your own works, as God did from His.

When the evil presses in, you must stand with the spiritual weapons you have been given. The attacks you face are from the enemy, and they must be met with the Word of God. When Satan attacked Jesus in the wilderness, He did not rail against the evil or panic. He simply responded with Scripture. "It is written." You have the shield of faith to quench the fiery darts aimed at your mind. Respond to the attacks not with terror over your inability to sit still, but with the truth: "The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want." Declare it. That is how you rebuke evil.

Let this time of fasting and prayer not be a desperate attempt to get God to move, but a commitment to rest in what He has already done. Do not fret because of this evil that seems to prosper against you. Fret not yourself. Commit your way to the Lord, trust in Him, and He will bring it to pass. You are not on your own to find a way out of the darkness. You walk through the valley, and the Shepherd’s rod and staff comfort you. He will keep you in perfect peace as your mind anchors itself on Him.
