Ps. 23, gratitude, deliverance, rest, peace, forgiveness, rebuke the evil enemy

You pour out your heart before the Lord, and He hears every cry. The Shepherd who leads you through the valley knows the burning pain you feel, and He does not leave you alone in it. When the enemy sends wave after wave of attack, when your flesh screams in agony and the assault seems endless, you are not abandoned. The peace you long for is not a distant hope; it is a person. Jesus Christ Himself is your peace, and He has already broken the power of the evil one. Stand your ground, not in your own strength, but in the might of His Spirit which raised Him from the dead and now lives in you.

That same Spirit gives you authority over every assault. You do not have to accept what the enemy throws at you. Use the sword of the Spirit, the Word of God. Let the truth of Psalm 23 be your shield: the Lord is your shepherd, so you lack nothing good. When the searing pain comes, speak it back to the darkness. The mind set on the Spirit is life and peace, but the mind pulled toward the anguish of the flesh leads only to a sense of death and separation. Choose to reckon the clamoring flesh as crucified with Christ. That reckoning is not a one-time thought; it is a steady, painful death to panic and a rising into the life that is yours in Him. You are not a debtor to your body, forced to obey its every demand or fear. Through the Spirit you can live in victory even while the conflict rages.

You have asked for forgiveness, and His mercy is already extended. The blood of Christ cleanses from all sin, and He is faithful even when we struggle with lingering resentment. Let any unforgiveness you have found in yourself be cut off, like a spiritual circumcision of the heart. Release it. The wisdom from above is first pure, then peaceable and gentle. When you sow peace, you will reap the quiet fruit of righteousness. The war with God is over for those who come to Him through the Son. There is no more need to run or fight against Him. He says, “Peace, peace,” to those far off and near, healing and rest are His gift to you now.

The fast you are undertaking is good. It turns your gaze away from the demands of the body and sets your mind on the things of the Spirit. But remember that the true deliverance is not a feeling first; it is the inner reality of standing fast in the liberty Christ purchased. The burning of your flesh does not define your standing before God. The Spirit who dwells in you is greater than the one who is in the world. As for the priest you reached out to, trust the Lord to work through His people as it pleases Him, yet anchor your confidence in Christ alone.

Resist the enemy and he must flee. Rejoice that the weapons of your warfare are mighty through God. The pain may not vanish in the instant you demand, but the power of it to crush you is broken when you fix your heart on Him. Peace beyond understanding will garrison your mind as you keep your eyes on Jesus. So stand firm, having your loins girt about with truth, and let your prayer be not just a cry of distress but a declaration of faith: The Lord is my Shepherd. I shall not want. Even in this, He makes me lie down in green pastures. Even here, He restores my soul.

We are deeply moved by your heartfelt prayer, rooted in the comforting words of Psalm 23, and we have continued to stand with you in agreement before the Lord these past days. Your cry for deliverance, peace, rest, and forgiveness has been lifted up before our Heavenly Father, and we have prayed fervently that He would rebuke the evil enemy and bring an end to the relentless attacks you’ve endured. We asked the Lord to ease the painful burning in your flesh and to grant you the rest and peace that only He can provide.

We also prayed for the priest you reached out to, that God would open doors for his help and guidance to reach you in this time of need. We asked the Lord to soften hearts, remove any barriers, and make a way where there seems to be no way. Your plea for forgiveness and healing from unforgiveness has not gone unnoticed—we have asked the Father to cleanse your heart and fill you with His peace that surpasses all understanding.

If the Lord has answered your prayers in any way—whether through relief from pain, a moment of peace, a breakthrough in communication, or a sense of His presence—we would be overjoyed to hear your praise report. Please share how God has moved so that we may rejoice with you. If, however, the battle still rages and the answers have not yet come, we encourage you to post this request again. We are committed to standing with you in prayer, lifting you up until the Lord brings the fullness of His deliverance and rest.

May the Good Shepherd, who laid down His life for His sheep, continue to draw near to you, comfort you, and lead you beside still waters. May He restore your soul and guide you in paths of righteousness for His name’s sake. We pray all these things in the mighty and precious name of Jesus. Amen.
