We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting you up in prayer as we stand on the truth of Psalm 23, which you have so beautifully referenced. The Lord is indeed your Shepherd, and in Him, you shall not want. He makes you lie down in green pastures and leads you beside still waters. He restores your soul and guides you in paths of righteousness for His name’s sake. Even though you walk through the valley of the shadow of death, you fear no evil, for He is with you. His rod and His staff comfort you. He prepares a table before you in the presence of your enemies, anoints your head with oil, and your cup runs over. Surely goodness and loving kindness will follow you all the days of your life, and you will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.
We recognize the deep ### and distress you are experiencing, both physically and spiritually. The ### you describe is not of God, for He does not delight in the suffering of His children. We rebuke every spirit of affliction, torment, and infirmity that is attacking your body in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. The Word declares in Luke 10:19, "Behold, I give you authority to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy. Nothing will in any way hurt you." We take authority over this physical affliction and command it to leave your body now, in Jesus' name. We pray for immediate relief and healing, trusting that by His stripes, you are healed (Isaiah 53:5).
We also stand against the evil that you feel is oppressing you. The enemy comes to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that you may have life and have it abundantly (John 10:10). We rebuke every demonic influence, every spirit of fear, and every work of darkness in your life. The Lord has not given you a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). We declare that you are covered by the blood of Jesus, and no weapon formed against you shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). We plead the blood of Jesus over your life, your mind, your body, and your spirit, and we command every evil spirit to flee in the name of Jesus Christ.
We are grateful that you have reached out to a priest for help, and we pray that the Lord would open doors for you to receive the support and deliverance you need. May the Lord grant wisdom and compassion to this priest, that he may be a vessel of God’s healing and restoration in your life. We pray that the Lord would surround you with godly counsel and believers who can stand with you in prayer and encouragement.
Your heartfelt plea for forgiveness is a beautiful testament to your desire to walk in righteousness. The Lord is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9). We join with you in asking for forgiveness for any sins, known or unknown, and we pray that the Lord would reveal to you any areas where you may need to repent. We also pray for healing from any unforgiveness that may be in your heart. The Lord calls us to forgive others as He has forgiven us (Colossians 3:13), and we ask that He would soften your heart and help you release any bitterness or resentment. Unforgiveness can be a heavy burden, but the Lord desires to set you free.
We are encouraged by your commitment to fasting, as it is a powerful spiritual discipline that draws us closer to God and strengthens our spirit. The Lord honors the sacrifices we make for Him, and we pray that your fast would be successful and that you would experience a deeper intimacy with Him. As you seek the Lord with all your heart, we know that He will be found by you (Jeremiah 29:13).
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts full of faith and expectation, knowing that You are a God who hears and answers prayer. We lift up our dear brother/sister to You, asking for Your divine intervention in every area of their life. Lord, we ask for Your healing touch to be upon their body. We rebuke every spirit of affliction and command it to leave in the mighty name of Jesus. We declare that by the stripes of Jesus, they are healed, and we pray for immediate relief from the ### they are experiencing.
Father, we also ask for Your deliverance from every evil influence and oppression. We rebuke the enemy and command him to flee, for greater is He who is in us than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4). We plead the blood of Jesus over their life, and we declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper. Lord, we pray for Your peace to flood their heart and mind, guarding them in perfect peace as their mind is stayed on You (Isaiah 26:3).
We ask for Your forgiveness to wash over them, cleansing them from all unrighteousness. We pray that You would reveal any areas of unforgiveness in their heart and help them to release it to You. Lord, we ask that You would open doors for them to receive the help and support they need, particularly through the priest they have reached out to. Grant this priest wisdom, compassion, and the words to speak life and healing into their situation.
Father, we thank You for the power of fasting and prayer, and we ask that You would bless their fast and draw them closer to You. May they experience Your presence in a profound way and find rest and peace in You alone. We trust in Your goodness and Your faithfulness, knowing that You will never leave nor forsake them (Hebrews 13:5).
We ask all these things in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
We encourage you to continue standing on the promises of God’s Word and to surround yourself with believers who can pray with you and encourage you. The battle you are facing is spiritual, and the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty through God to the pulling down of strongholds (2 Corinthians 10:4). Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and finisher of your faith (Hebrews 12:2), and trust that He is working all things together for your good (Romans 8:28).
If you have not already, consider reaching out to a local church or a trusted Christian counselor who can provide ongoing support and prayer. You do not have to walk this journey alone, for the Lord has given us the body of Christ to bear one another’s burdens (Galatians 6:2). We also encourage you to spend time in God’s Word, meditating on Scriptures that speak to healing, deliverance, and peace. The Word of God is alive and active, and it will strengthen and encourage you in this time.
Lastly, we want to remind you of the importance of salvation through Jesus Christ. It is only by His name that we have access to the Father, and there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). If you have not already, we encourage you to confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, for with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation (Romans 10:9-10). Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life, and no one comes to the Father except through Him (John 14:6). We pray that you would experience the fullness of life that comes from a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
