Pray for friend ### that he will be safe and not be affected by the typhoon who is doing his internship in ### and comes from ###. Pray for my families and friends living in ### that they will be safe and not be affected by the typhoon.

We lift our voices together in prayer, seeking the Lord’s mighty hand of protection over your friend and all those in the path of this typhoon. The Bible assures us in Psalm 91:1-2, "He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of Yahweh, 'He is my refuge and my fortress; my God, in whom I trust.'"

Father, we ask You to surround with Your angels, as You promise in Psalm 34:7, "The angel of Yahweh encamps around those who fear Him, and delivers them." Shield him from harm, guide him to safety, and calm any fear in his heart. Let him feel Your presence and peace in the midst of the storm. We also pray for your families and friends in, cover them with Your protection, Lord. Keep them safe from danger, provide for their needs, and grant them wisdom to act prudently in this time.

We rebuke the power of this storm in the name of Jesus, for You have authority over all creation, as declared in Mark 4:39, "He awoke, and rebuked the wind, and said to the sea, 'Peace! Be still!' The wind ceased, and there was a great calm." We speak peace over the winds, the waves, and the hearts of those affected. May Your name be glorified as You demonstrate Your power and care.

Lord, if there are those who do not yet know You, use this time to draw them to Yourself. Let them see Your hand at work and turn to You for salvation, for "there is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved" (Acts 4:12). We pray this in the mighty name of Jesus, trusting in Your unfailing love and sovereignty. Amen.

Thank you for sharing this with us. When a typhoon threatens people you love, a friend finishing an internship, family and friends back home, the weight of fear can feel physical. That knot in your stomach makes perfect sense. We’re sitting with you in that concern tonight, not rushing past it, just acknowledging how vulnerable these moments can make us feel.

We’ve been praying for each of them by name, asking for God’s hand of protection over every home, every flooded street, every anxious heart. We’re also praying that you would experience a steadying peace as you wait for news, because you’re not alone in carrying this.

One small, concrete thing you can do if communication lines are still open is to send a quick message, just a simple “We’re praying. We love you. Let us know you’re okay when you can.” That kind of reach does two things: it lets them know they’re not forgotten, and it gives you a tangible way to care while you wait. Sometimes that tiny act helps anchor us.

Father, we lift up this friend interning in the storm’s path, and every family member and friend facing the typhoon’s force. Shelter them. Hold back the waters and wind. Quiet their hearts and give them sound judgment for every decision. And for this dear soul who asked for prayer, give them the peace that passes understanding, the quiet confidence that You are near. In Jesus’ name.

Thank you Heavenly Father for blessing us with another day, and for all you do for all of us. All glory and honor belongs to you Father. I lift this prayer up on your glory Father God and ask that you grant your perfect will. In Jesus name I pray. Amen

“But blessed is the one who trusts in the Lord, whose confidence is in him.”

‭‭Jeremiah‬ ‭17‬:‭7‬ ‭NIV‬‬

How our hearts tremble at the fury of the wind and the violence of the waters! Yet the Lord, who rides upon the storm, holdeth the tempest in His fist. He maketh the clouds His chariot and walketh upon the wings of the wind. We cry to Him for your friend far from home, that under the shadow of the Almighty he may find a covert; yea, that the angels who have charge over the children of God may encamp round about him. No distance is too great for the arm of the Lord to reach; His presence can fill that distant place as surely as it fills this sanctuary. He who tempers the blast to the shorn lamb will be a shield to those who put their trust in Him.

Let us pray with confidence, for we have not an high priest that cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities. The eye that seeth the sparrow falleth not to see those dear ones in peril. Commend them unto the keeping of the only wise God our Saviour, who is able to keep them from falling and to present them faultless before the presence of His glory. Lift up your soul to the mercy seat, and there plead the precious blood of Jesus, which speaketh better things than that of Abel. The prayer of faith shall quiet the heart when the elements rage, for the Lord is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.

Remind yourself, too, that the way of duty is the way of safety. Your friend is not wandering at his own fancy but is set in his post, and God will preserve him in the path of obedience. If we walk in the way of His commandments, the angelic guard hath orders to keep us in all our ways. Not a hair of the head shall perish, nor a bone be broken, unless our Father’s good pleasure ordaineth it for a higher purpose. He who stilled the Galilean sea with a word can whisper peace to the howling hurricane. There is a refuge near, a present help, and His name is Jesus. Bid your loved ones to flee to Him, not only for bodily safety but for the eternal keeping of their souls. He is the true City of Refuge, accessible to every corner of the earth; the way to Him is marked with precious promises as with signposts, crying “Refuge!” to every troubled spirit.

But take heed that your soul trusteth not in any refuge of lies. The arm of flesh will fail; the stoutest building may crumble; but the man who maketh the Lord his trust shall not be moved, though the earth be removed and the mountains be cast into the midst of the sea. Pray not only for a staying of the storm but for a sure shelter in the cleft of the Rock. And when the tempest is passed, and the sun shineth again, remember it is God who hath wrought deliverance; give Him the thanks that are due unto His name, and let your gratitude be exceeding great. He hath said, “Call upon Me in the day of trouble; I will deliver thee, and thou shalt glorify Me.” Go now with this promise upon your heart, and may the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
