He says to us, Don't you be afraid, for I am with you. Don't be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness Isaiah 41:10. He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of Yahweh, He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust Psalm 91:1-2. We are reminded also that in nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus Philippians 4:6-7. And we know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose Romans 8:28.

Your request has been heard and you are remembered before the throne of grace in prayer, that the Lord would spread His hand over you and keep you in these persistent adversities which press upon your health, your career, your finances and your family.
Adversity has its sweet uses though it be bitter to bear, and hope itself is like a star not to be seen in the sunshine of prosperity and only to be discovered in the night of adversity. In that night the Lord teaches us to hope in God, for He is the health of our countenance and our God. Perfect health lies in the right condition of spirit, soul and body, and when the body is ailing and the spirit is cast down, He Himself is our health. He can make the countenance to shine again even while the trial remains, and He will in His time restore and heal.
You will always need divine keeping, for God would not have charged His angels to keep His people in all their ways if they did not need protection in all their ways. This protection is perpetual as well as personal. He who travels on the King's Highway is under the King's protection, but he who takes to byroads must protect himself. Keep then to the appointed ways of faith and obedience, grapple the truths of God to you as with hooks of steel, and pray for angelic keeping. In robust health or in constant infirmity, in plenty or in want, your path is known to Him who exalts the low tree and remembers Joseph in the dungeon and David when he was passed by.
For your family, remember that God entered into covenant with Noah to preserve him and his family, and they found safety together in the ark. So still the Lord delights to bless households where His name is called upon. Let family prayer be maintained and private prayer more diligently kept, for family prayer is the nutriment of family piety. We have prayed that Prayer Meetings may be better attended and that in your house there may be a renewed drawing near unto God with double zeal.
May the Lord grant you grace to trust in Jesus Christ alone, in whom all things are yours, and to see that even these adversities are in His hand for your good. May He guard your health, direct your labour, supply your need according to His riches, and knit your family together in love and peace. May He keep you day and night, and cause you yet to praise Him who is the health of your countenance and your God.
