Protection from spiritual attacks
We hear your cry for protection from spiritual attacks that are disrupting your peace, sleep, and well-being. The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy, but we stand firm in the authority of Jesus Christ, who has already overcome the world (John 10:10, 16:33). These attacks are not just physical or mental, they are spiritual battles, and we must fight them with the weapons God has given us.
First, we rebuke every spirit of fear, torment, and oppression in the mighty name of Jesus. The Bible tells us, "For God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control" (2 Timothy 1:7 WEB). You are not alone in this fight, and the Lord is your refuge and fortress (Psalm 91:2). We declare that no weapon formed against you shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and we command every lying spirit to flee in Jesus’ name.
We also encourage you to put on the full armor of God daily, as Ephesians 6:10-18 instructs. Stand firm with the belt of truth, the breastplate of righteousness, the shoes of the gospel of peace, the shield of faith, the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God. Prayer and fasting are powerful tools to break strongholds, so we urge you to seek the Lord earnestly in these areas.
Let us pray together:
"Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We lift up [this dear one] to You, asking for Your divine protection over their body, mind, and spirit. Lord, You are our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). We rebuke every spirit of fear, anxiety, and torment that is attacking them. We declare that no evil shall befall them, nor any plague come near their dwelling (Psalm 91:10). Surround them with Your angels, Lord, and let Your peace guard their heart and mind (Philippians 4:7). Strengthen them with Your might, and fill them with Your Holy Spirit. Help them to stand firm in faith, knowing that You have not given them a spirit of fear but of power, love, and a sound mind. We thank You for Your victory over the enemy, and we claim that victory in Jesus’ name. Amen."
We also encourage you to seek fellowship with other believers, as iron sharpens iron (Proverbs 27:17). Do not isolate yourself, for the enemy thrives in darkness. Surround yourself with godly counsel and accountability. If these attacks persist, consider seeking prayer from mature Christians who can stand with you in spiritual warfare.
Remember, "The name of the Lord is a strong tower; the righteous run to it and are safe" (Proverbs 18:10 WEB). Jesus Christ is your victory, and in Him, you are more than a conqueror (Romans 8:37). Stand firm, and do not grow weary in doing good, for in due season, you will reap if you faint not (Galatians 6:9). We stand with you in this battle, and we believe God will bring you peace and restoration.

The archers have sorely grieved you and shot at you, but your bow abides in strength; the arms of your hands are made strong by the hands of the mighty God of Jacob. All true strength is divine. As the light cometh from the sun, as the shower from heaven, so doth spiritual strength come from the Father of lights, with whom there is neither variableness nor shadow of a turning. Why does Joseph stand against temptation? Because God gives him aid. The strength of a Christian is divine strength.
The Lord alone must lead you here, and He is training you as an eagle trains its young for flight. Do you think it strange that the nest is stirred and comforts torn away? If you could read the whole in the light of eternity, you would bless the hand that tears away your comforts, seeing Divine Wisdom and Infinite Affection in it all. Divine gentleness has not forgotten you. There is peculiar gentleness about His dealings, even when the floods of trouble rise. How strikingly has God delivered some of us! His divine Spirit wrought all your works in you.
The Presence of God dissolves difficulties. The Divine Presence is the one hope of the people of God. Cry for that visitation, that the mountains might flow down at His feet. The low tree, fostered by the Husbandman, shall mount even to the stars.
But remember, as for the truths of God which He has taught you by His own Spirit, grapple them to you as with hooks of steel, for if you go in the way of error, you cannot expect Divine protection. Do what God tells you, as God tells you, and because God tells you, and no hurt can come to you. He shall give His angels charge over you, to keep you in all your ways. You will always need Divine and angelic keeping, for God would not have charged His angels if you did not need protection in all your ways. This protection is perpetual as well as personal. Rest in this, for unless Divine Sovereignty is overthrown, not one of the elect can perish.

When the mind is troubled and sleep is driven away, know that the enemy seeks to disquiet the soul, for it is when the body lies still that the warfare becomes fiercest. Such relentless attacks upon both body and mind are not of flesh and blood alone, but of the spiritual powers of wickedness. Yet, the suffering depends much on ourselves. As it is written, "Do not suffer thy foot to be moved," meaning we have the power, by God's grace, to stand steadfast.
Consider the sleep of those who truly fear the Lord. Their minds are not stifled by excess or worldly care; as soon as they open their eyes, they are collected and wakeful. Their rest is guarded because their souls are orderly, filled with the fear of God, and so their dreams are not filled with wild fancies. But when covetousness, licentiousness, or any unseemly passion takes root, the heart becomes like a sea never without waves: anxieties, disturbances, and terrors come rolling in, one after another, and sleep flees.
What then must you do? "God is a Spirit, and they that worship Him must worship in spirit and in truth." Do not think that bodily cleansing alone suffices. Dedicate yourself wholly to the Lord: make yourself a living sacrifice. Circumcise not your flesh, but your evil thoughts; crucify yourself and slay those unreasonable desires that breed turmoil. The eye of your soul must be made gentle, quick-sighted, and wakeful, not sleepy nor supine. A mind that stands clear, like a faithful eunuch before the King, enjoys great peace. Shake off the heavy burden of sin, and the yoke of virtue will prove sweet and light.
We ought always to guard ourselves. He who keeps Israel neither slumbers nor sleeps, and His protection is sure for those who keep their minds fixed on things above. When the trouble urges you to despair, say instead, as our Lord did, "Glorify Thy Name," and do not turn back from what is set before you. In this way, the attacks will lose their power, and the peace that passes understanding will give rest to your body and soul. Pray earnestly in spirit, offer your sleepless nights as a holocaust of patience, and the tempest within will soon become a haven.
